Sign says walk-in's are welcome, but I walked in at 4:33 p.m and was denied service because they were closing. The sign said they closed at 5 p.m. , but one of the stylist stated that they were closing and was complaining how they had 54 haircuts that day and how the other stylist was probably as exhausted as she was, so they couldn't cut my hair and all I needed was a trim. I've been going to Supercuts for over 10 years and always had great service with Lien she is great. However i'm a single dad. I got off work picked up my son who has picture day tomorrow I found out last minute went to get him a haircut. Got to Supercuts by 6 PM it was empty lady named Thuy said she would cut my son's hair who is six years old she didn't want to get him a booster seat. I thought that was a bit odd. He is really short so then she finally decides to get a booster seat from the back then she asked how would I like the haircut and so I explained to her how I like the haircut and she says no it's too short on the side. It won't look good and I explain to her. This is how I always get his haircut like this at another place and I show her several pictures. She says no very rude and my son says daddy that's how I like my haircut and it's for my son's first grade pictures so I decide this woman is not gonna decide how my son hair is going to look and I just tell her thank you but no thanks you've ruined my son's picture day. You are very rude and I hope you learn how to treat your customers better in the future and have a better attitude, especially towards children have compassion. New to the east bay, finding a " place" for me and my curly hair to trust is hard. After straightening my hair first, I've gone here on impulse one day- had 5 inches taken off of dead bleached hair and literally left with more knowledge about upkeep to my hair health.Few months later, I came back again yesterday super last minute without straightening my hair hoping my experience will be just as good- this time was Alexis, I believe her name was, greeted me as soon as I entered the door, and talked to me about her experience a lot- really made me feel more comfortable to know that I didn't HAVE TO straighten my hair prior to cutting it - and she took about 4 more inches off- and literally BLESSED my head with the cutest cut!! I am really disappointed with the terrible customer service I received today. I made an appointment and arrived on time and patiently waited for the next stylist to be available. Once Noemy was available, she came to me asking me if I had an appointment and immediately turned me down citing that her clippers were not working. The other stylist there offered their clippers to cut my hair but Noemy refused and told me to come back tomorrow. This experience was completely unprofessional and off putting. At the very least I would have appreciated being told this information when I came in, rather than wait to tell me after 20 minutes after my arrival. read more

Very bad customer service. I called prior to taking my son for a haircut. And I wouldn't know if they need a phone number / name b4 going because who ever i talked to never asked for it. The lady just said come by 330pm cz 4pm they will be busy so i made it there couple of minutes b4 330pm and wen we entered they had no greetings or anything but straight do i hv an appointment n i said i called b4 i came. And the other lady said m lying ????? who says that ???? and why wud i barge into a salon before calling. And after they kept complaining . Do not come here at all costs. You are better shaving yourself bald and spending $28 + tip on a good meal after. Came in on a "busy" afternoon I guess with one person waiting. Was greeted by a raspy rude voice borderline scolding me to "sign myself in" since I didn't have an appointment. I didn't have to wait long. One of the hairdressers was dying another customers hair and so since she had to wait for it to set she squeezed me in. I had to sit next the other customer she was helping looking directly at me while getting my haircut, making me extremely uncomfortable. I asked for a simple cut keeping the top long and cutting the sides short blending it into the top. Clearly it was not so simple for her because she kept pointing onto the placard with pictures. She continued to rush me and rolled her eyes when I told her what to do. She told me at the end she could not blend the sides to the top because it was too long. She only switched her razor twice and cut the rest off with scissors. At this point I was like whatever and said it was fine. Not to mention the conversation the other hairdresser had talking trash about other customers and complaining about kids coming in. The total time she spent on me was less than 20 minutes. When I went home and looked in the mirror, it looked like someone just snipped everything off. She did not keep the top as long as I wanted and nothing was blended. You can see exactly where she cut. I spent another hour blending my sides in. I did a better job on myself than she did. It definitely is possible to blend in everything if she was not rushed. At this point I don't even want to deal with their rude employees. Considering the time I spent making myself look somewhat presentable, I might just charge back my card as all they care is squeezing in customers and making a pretty penny. read more

I had a scheduled app't for 9:00am with Tina. Tina is the best and volunteered to come earlier for me because I was crunch for time on that day. No, I said, not necessary, 9:00am is fine. I arrived at 9:02am per my phone. A customer had been waiting at the door and , although manager Angela acknowledged Tina had an app't with me, she insisted Tina take the customer and had me waiting for Tina to finish. There weren't any other customers; ordinarily the manager would step in, take the new customer, a young man so that the schedule customer could be serviced. The worst part of this experience was the response attitude of the manager. She said I was late, 2 minutes, and I need to respect their time. I pointed out I always have to wait about 10 minutes. However, not being in a rush, I understand when Tina gets behind schedule because she always gives her best to each customer, regardless. This mouthy manager would not quit. A customer had come in and instead of attending her customer she continued with me. I asked for an apology she haughtily replied nothing to apologize for, I was late, 2 minutes and continued on and on defending her position. The icing was she instructed Tina to charge me the full price of a root touch up. I had been there 2 weeks before for a root touch up and Tina wanted to put more red in the color. I shared with Tina my roots would turned red, she said no the red would be on my scalp & would wash away. 2 weeks later I still had 1/2 inch of red roots on dark brown hair. I did not go off, I knew Tina would take care of me. Aside from the inept manager, it has always been a pleasure getting my hair done here. Everyone is courteous, professional and kind. I had never had the displeasure of seeing this manager before. As I was leaving she loudly was telling her customer "this (me) was the reason she was leaving in a year." I responded she needed to leave now, she was a horrible dysfunctional unsupportive manager. If Angela is like that with a customer how is she with the folks she supervises? Brought my son here for a last minute hair cut. They did a wonderful job and I will definitely be bringing him back again.

It was o.k, but I dont know if I would go back. I took my two kids (son, 6 dauhgter,8) to get a trim, not much just a fade and a trim & side bangs. We walked in and it was bright and clean, a friendly woman named May came and took their names and sat them both down. Another girl (I forgot her name, she was the youngest one there) did my daughters hair and May did my sons. I told the young girl that I wanted my daughter's hair to have some shape and some side bangs, not too much off the length like an inch. My son I said a traditional fade and long on top, I told her that his hair grows fast. I sat down and within 20 minutes there haircuts were done. My sons was a little too short but looks nice..like a faded buzz cut. My daughters cut was not much of a difference..she only took like 1/2 inch off! The bangs were cute but I think the young girl held herself back. The haircuts ended up costing me $36 ($30 for the haircut & $6 for the tip, three bucks each). Well I guess thats what you get when you wait til last minute and its a sunday evening. read more
