Great Harvest is such a cute and homie place to stop by for some baked goods and bevs. The staff has always been very kind which I appreciate as well. I love the variety of fresh loaves they offer and that they will slice them for you if requested (the sourdough loaf is my fave). They also offer samples to help you decide what to get! I have not yet tried any sandwiches as I tend to go for the sweets, so cannot speak on that, but would definitely recommend adding it to your list of places to try! read more

Excellent artisinal bread and very good pastries. Nice gifts. Good coffee, cute place with comfortable assortment of seating, better for a chat with friends or to read a book rather than to get work done but there is one spot on the long table next to a plug that is perfect for a notebook computer and a pad of paper. I don't like how the cashiers-baristas only speak GenZ (have a great rest of your day instead of, thank you, adding "at all" to every sentence) and they make it clear they prefer I get a disposable cups instead of a ceramic coffee cup (no espresso cups at all). Don't let my old fashioned Earth-saving ways deter you, all the other dine in customers seemed to like their plastic cups, lids, and straws. I'm an old man with ancient, forgotten ways. We stopped in on a Saturday morning and the space was pretty full but not overly crowded. It's nice that they have outdoor seating as an option. I really loved the sourdough pretzel we got and the staff was very friendly. So great that they offer free bread samples! The latte wasn't my favorite -- not bad but just not very flavorful. We both got the cobb and my partner loved it and I thought it was pretty good. Overall a cute spot for a quick lunch or morning stop. read more

We stopped here when we were driving from Milwaukee to Madison. We wanted lunch but not fast food. This is such a cute spot! Only a few minutes off I-94. They had so many breads and cookies/sweets to choose from. They had a great lunch menu as well. My husband had the veggie sandwich and I had a fall salad. Both were delicious. The ingredients were very fresh. I especially loved their salad dressing. Their homemade chips were also amazing! They also have take and bake items along with a mini shopping area. Plenty of tables and cozy places to sit. We placed our order at the counter and it was ready in about 10 minutes. We were lucky we went at an odd time so there wasn't a line. read more

This establishment is understaffed. The person who took our order was admittedly new to the job but got our order wrong. The menu board is confusing. The place was pretty crowded for lunch, and it took a long time to get our order which was wrong. The person making the sandwiches did take our order over again from scratch and worked to get it out to us quickly. Having said that the sandwiches were not very good. The service is terribly slow, we ordered 2 sandwiches (not even toasted paninis) and it took 40 minutes. There was only one party ahead of us. I get they might be short handed as everyone is these days but there is not even any cooking involved. They didn't even warn us it would take that long and the bag was basically thrown at us when it was done with no words, no apology for waiting, nothing. The bread wasn't even soft. When you walk in the door of Great Harvest Bread be prepared for the smells of delicious fresh baked carbs. Their bread is so good! They have a cutting board of all their fresh baked bread of the day and will give you a generous sample. I occasionally stop in for a loaf of bread or sandwich and soup for lunch. The soup changes every couple of days. My favorite sandwich is their chicken salad on sour dough. Their recipe is so savory. I recommend if you're in the area and need catering to come to Great Harvest. They do fabulous boxed lunches that are great for meetings. They're also very accommodating to Gluten allergies. read more

Status quo ...confirms my previous experience...remove the knickknacks from store, the hipster music and take all the junk off off of the bread and just look, feel and smell the bread...now just take a bite of the bread asking yourself how can you chew it with a bit of bounce releasing Flickr or does it crumble and disintegrate, does it have pockets in the body where the yeast could develop and poop and fart in the bread, because guess what that's the fact... yeast eating the sugars and off gassing are what make the bread better than mixing all the ingredients in a bowl and baking them immediately. Its the development or the interplay of the ingredients with the yeast creating what makes an incredible bread. This bread is the exact opposite. It's hurried, underdeveloped, dense and heavy to a fault and therefore lacking any of the charm and character that defines artisan bread. Lastly, the service is really burden to suffer through... slow and melancholy. The staff is basically young lacking in any of the training or knowledge that would make then even aware of what minimally acceptable much less superior customer service experience is. It took 23 minutes from ordering till they brought out our food in a bag, mumbling our order name, and another 5 to figure what they were mumbling. All in all, a poor service experience and an unacceptable quality in bread. I suppose if you have plenty of time and consider the bread as nothing more than a vehicle to consume other ordinary ingredients... it will do in relieving hunger pangs. read more

Delicious scones!!! Tried the blueberry scone and the almond scone. They are crispy on the outside and the inside is much lighter than a normal scone. Recommending sharing since they are quite large. The seating area is pretty small with five tables (a couple of the tables are larger communal tables). I can see this place getting pretty crowded. Their breads looked and smelled good. I have only been to Great Harvest Bread a handful of times but all of those times were amazing! Every time I have been in, they have given me free samples of their bread! Sometimes it can take a bit for the food to come out, but I enjoy the feeling of the place so I personally don't mind. Their loaves of bread are to die for!! I have gotten a cinnamon chip to take home and it was heaven! I have also tried the pesto provolone bread... AMAZING!!! What's one of the best aromas ever? To me: Baking bread. The smell takes me back to my grandma's kitchen. Anytime I happen upon a bakery making bread, I start to drool. (well . . . not quite, but almost). Great Harvest is a nice alternative to a fast food place, or a big chain restaurant. It's small, personal, and with a menu that features any of their fresh breads. You can't go wrong. There's not a lot of seating here, so stopping by at a busy time may be problematic. I came in late one morning after the breakfast crowd and before the lunch brigade. The employee handed me a menu of specials and gave me some time to look it over after he made a couple of recommendations. I ended up ordering a sandwich, made with the whole grain wheat, that was made with two big slices of that dense, substantial bread that doesn't break apart at the first hint of moisture in a tomato, or the mayo, or the lettuce. It was a freshly-made tasty meal. If your timing is right, Great Harvest may also have some samples of the other available breads on that day. During my visit GH had samples, big slices -- not little tiny nibbles -- of a chocolate bread that was exactly like a fudge-brownie. How awesome is that? A dessert along with the main course. We worked with these locations to help with all of the baked goods, deserts, sweets and wedding cake for my wife and I at our wedding this past November... They were amazing to work with, super accommodating, they had amazing ideas and listened to everything we had asked for... What they did was beyond perfect and we would recommend both or either location hands down! They made every aspect of what we asked absolutely perfect and had it at the venue and ready to go without any stress on our end! Great people make great bread. Everyone I've met here is exepectionnally kind, and it shows in the food. Everytime I open the door I am immediately hit by the scent of fresh baked bread. Before I can even recover from the otherworldly odor, I am greeted by a friendly voice that just wants to know if I am having a good day. All I need to say is that I have traveled more than one and a half hours on six separate occasions to enjoy the delectable bread, treats, and products that are offered at this Great Harvest Bread company location. When you first walk into the snug locale you are enveloped by the smell of fresh bread and greeted by a friendly service member who offers a generous variety of free samples at the door. They even offer some bread and honey to go along with their samples. Bread is sold by the loaf and costs approximately $7-9 depending on the type of bread you purchase. Breads range in an appreciable assortment from sweet breads (ie. Cinnamon Chip/Swirl, Pumpkin Chocolate Chip) to wholesome grain/ fiber or herb based varieties (ie. Oregon Herb, High 5 Fiber, Dakota breads). Key thing is to check online what breads they are offering for the day. Each day of the week has different breads and each month has different specialties. Plan ahead. Also don't be surprised if they are sold out. If you want to make sure you get the bread you are looking for, come early (ie. before 12:00pm)! The bread is made fresh and can go quickly! In my last visit the bread the cashier handed me warmed my hands because it had just come from the oven and was as fresh as it gets. In my experience I strongly recommend the Pumpkin Chocolate Chip, Oregon Herb, and High 5 Fiber bread. Sadly, however, there are far too many choices that I still haven't tried; but that's what their samples are for! If bread isn't your thing they also have some delicious sandwiches (my favorite is the Field Harvest Veggie Sandwich, get this as a panini and slap it on the grain bread and your lunch is set to go!), your typical coffee/cafe drinks (they have Collectivo Coffee), soups, muffins, bars, scones, and more. All of their products are locally sourced, many from nearby Wisconsin or Illinois based businesses. Alright, I promise I don't work for this location or something like that. I'm just enthusiastic about the positive experiences I have had here. In reflection there are some things they can improve. Food for thought: First, the service can get distracted or slow at times. This is only because almost every time I have come in they are trying to multi-task with many different customers like crazy! This is likely a result of them choosing to make their products fresh rather than having them pre-made. Their efficiency is perfectly fine considering everything they're trying to balance. Gently remind them if they forget something. Each time they have been very polite and apologetic if they missed something with me. Second, the space isn't the best for large or lounging crowds. There's only a couple of tables inside. I wish they could expand, but I like the cozy atmosphere, so that's a dilemma. During the summer months I'm sure it would be great to expand into their outside seating areas. Last and finally, if you're a WI-Fi vampire, their internet isn't the best. Double-check at the register for the password, but it hasn't always worked very smoothly for me. Overall, a fresh and locally sourced establishment that has phenomenal breads, treats, and more. I really enjoyed my recent visit to the Great Harvest Broad Co. I made my way here for a lunch meetings and order the BLT on their bread, which was really good. I really wanted to give a 4th star here, but the prices just seemed to be a little over priced on each item... Then again it is 'downtown' Delafield, so what was I really expecting. We came here for lunch with few of my co-workers. My goodness, the first thing you smell right when you open the door is a big smell of fresh bread. It was a great smell! They have so many different types of breads baked. There were sandwiches and soups, too, so that was what we all ordered for lunch. I had the Nashotah Cobb sandwich and their cream of chicken Italian soup. The sandwich was really tasty.. they had so many different options of bread for the sandwich. I just went with the multi-grain..and it was good. The soup was a bit salty, but it was good. Couldn't finish it since I ate a whole sandwich. My other co workers ordered grilled cheese and another grilled cheese with bacon. Another co worker ordered the same sandwich as I did..and someone ordered something else. Overall it is a cute place. Food is good. Smell is wonderful! It is a bit pricey, but it is worth an experience. They also sell soup beans on the side. Very interesting. One of the girls I ate with said that if you come by when they're closing the owner would hand out free breads to their customers. The service here is horrible! I've have to wait forever for food every single time I've gone, a lot of times they are out of the soup already by 12:30. It's always young kids working with poor attitudes and they aren't friendly. It appears as tho they are short staffed. When the adults are around things are a bit smoother. The sandwiches are ok. They also had tasty spreads to put on the generous sized samples. I would recommend trying the cinnamon bread. I ended up ordering the veggie sandwich and my friend ordered the tuna sandwich. There wasn't a lot of options for sitting but, if you don't mind, you could share tables with others. I waited for a while at the counter as a lady was tasting breads and the employee was busy with her. I was pretty shocked at the price, $12 for half a sandwich and a cup of soup! $4 for a chai latte (pretty normal). Ok, I thought $12 for half a sandwich and a cup of soup maybe the half sandwich is a large portion and the cup is a large cup lol! Nope! The half grilled cheese sandwich was smaller than my hand (I'm 5'2" and wear size 5.5 rings for comparison), and was a bit over cooked on the bottom. The soup was in a large coffee cup, but not nearly enough to justify $12 for both! I won't be going back as a regular or even for a brief stop in as my pocketbook cannot afford it. I was visiting family and stopped by here twice. VERY good soups, coffee....good place. The only reason I am not giving this place 5 stars is b/c the sandwich I got was a bit of a disaster. It was a breakfast sandwhich and I had them sub avocado for the meat and add lettuce and tomato. Important for kitchen to remember - on a warm sandwhich you add the cold items (lettuce and tomato in particular) cold, do not warm up with the rest of the sandwhich. Add cold at the end. Warm lettuce is - mehhhhhh. It was a to go order and I ended up throwing the entire sandwhich away at the nearest gas station. Yes, I am still giving this place 4 stars because I think it was just a mishap in the kitchen and the other items I had here were fantastic.
