They were focused on building outdoor big ticket items like pools and had really poor mismanaged Customer Service. That has turned around immensely in Holland. Over the last couple years there has been a dramatic shift with a focus on service and thoroughness for safety and performance to a 5 point star level! Ike is professional, kind, humorous and most importantly a good listener. He meets his customers where they are at. He reviews important details more than once which is key because they can easily get you in trouble if you don't do things in the proper order. "Remember, when you refill your hot tub put the hose in by the filter area otherwise you can get vapor lock." Ike reminded me to use Purge, let is sit overnight, drain, refill and drain (2 times). That makes all the difference making sure you get everything out of the pipes after the first cycle of cleaning, getting you top notch for the coming season! I have brought in my hot tub products and he has helped me label them on frequency to put them in each week. If I don't need something he tells me. He also lets me know when certain products might go out of stock and when to plan ahead. It simply saves me money. Ike is inquisitive and gets to know your hot tub, your water and how you use your spa to maximize performance. If you have the time, take the drive to to Lakewood, Holland location and ask for Ike. He will treat you right and get you started on the right foot if you are buying a new hot tub or getting yours in top notch shape. They will evaluate your water for free! Even your tap water for your refill. I just emptied and cleaned my hot tub this weekend. I think Pools Plus should have Ike run all of Customer Service throughout Michigan and have other locations get the benefits of the Ike Experience! Hats off to Ike!

They educated me (a complete newbie) on the SIMPLEST way to manage a pool/spa system. They don't try to sell you chemicals that you don't need and have a mad scientist lab where they test your water for free--all you need to do is bring in a sample.
