Before I hired a sketchy looking moving services or some cheap half-priced movers from somewhere around I did a broad search on the web and I came across Great Movers Houston. At first I was skeptical since I've got mixed reviews from friends about hiring movers from Craigslist or any other website around and they suggested that I should do it myself with some help from them since I didn't had to much stuff and my furniture was not that heavy (cheap Ikea user here). I decided not to pay attention and went for Great Movers Houston moving services. All I needed was a professional, reliable and affordable service to do my move and these guys went above my expectations. They delivered a very good service overall. They provided protective blankets for my furniture and wrapped everything with shrink wrap. Also, they were very concerned about fragile items from breaking or taking damage during the trip from Spring to Westheimer Rd. Their truck was spacious enough, although they only managed to load half the capacity and with good fixing skills just for preventing things falling off inside the truck cabin. Just wanted to share a great experience with Great Movers. we had an in home estimate with Miguel for about an hour and he answered several of my questions very patiently. He was also available on 3 separate occasions for phone calls about changing dates and adding and subtracting items from the inventory list. We got a call prior to the day of the move from Miguel to give a 2 hour arrival window and to go over the details of the move. The crew showed up right in the middle of the arrival window, 9AM. Gabriel ,Joakin and another guy were all extremely polite, professional , and very hard working guys. Everything was padded and shrink wrapped. Disassembled and reassembled, as promised. It was a long day but the guys made it a very relaxing one. I was pretty stressed before it all started but calmed down quite a bit and am happy to say that it was a great move. Alonso, Miguel, Anthony y Francisco, a very professional team, they came on time, and since they arrived they start working, never dragged the time, they were very careful with all our belongings, they check the tvs before and after the move to be sure they were working. 3 hrs total 1bedroom from Houston to Katy. Johnny did a great job moving me from my old apartment to my new one. Great Movers was excellent about setting up the service and communicating time frames of the move. I made sure I had everything packed in boxes securely and labeled, as requested on their pre-move questionnaire. In fifteen minutes,Johnny had my entire 2BR/1BA loaded onto the truck, ready to go. They were a little slow getting to the new apartment, but once there, they worked quickly and tirelessly to unload my things into my second floor apartment. They asked me to come check the trailer just to confirm that it was empty of all my items, then left with a polite smile and handshake. I read their reviews prior to booking my move, they were great and sincere. I've never used a moving company before as family always helped with renting a truck and misc. I moved from Katy to another so i was somewhat concerned about my time frame obligations with both management companies.
