I have been to this salon a few times and thought I found a regular place to go. I've even referred a customer. The last two appointments were a disappointment: On one occasion, I was told I had the wrong day, which was not the case. The last appointment I received a call to reschedule because of a personal issue, but the nail technician was still at the shop I will not return to a place of business that is so inconsiderate of a clients time. read more

I go here on a regular basis now, after coming here because I wasn't happy with the salons I had previously been using. Amy gave great suggestions on switching to the powder for my nails, since gels weren't lasting. She also recommended moving to an oval rather than a quart, which turned out to be more flattering for me. She dips mine three times and gets closer to the cuticle each time, so they are not so thick and look more natural. They do not crack or chip at all and if you don't mind the grow out, you can go four weeks. I usually go every three weeks and so while the powder is a little more expensive, overall it averages out because I'm not going as often. Pedicures are great, as well. I am really missing this place during quarantine and hope they open back up once it's safe. read more

I won't be back. I was a regular customer and on more than one occasion they have scheduled me for an appointment, only for me to come in and they tell me to come back because they double booked or wrote the wrong appointment time down and ask for me to come back at another time. And my heels are scaly and hard even after getting regular pedicures. They do not massage your feet when you get a pedicure. And the final nail in the coffin was when I got the dip powder on my nails and they started to crack and break in less than a week! I called to bring it to their attention and she had me come in. I showed her the cracked nails and one broken nail. She only fixed the broken nail and didn't do anything about the cracked nails I showed her. I paid her 45 dollars the week prior. My nails should not have been breaking with the dip powder on them and then she had the nerve not to fix them. She only repaired the nail that broke. Over the next two days the rest of my nails chipped and broke. My aunt goes to her regularly as well and she has cancelled appointments on her too. I honestly think she doesn't want black customers to patronize her business. Well they can keep their business.....I won't be coming back! read more

WORST FULL SET I EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!!! One of the guys cut my cuticles down way to much to the point where it hurts all my nails are crooked and my pinky nail on my left hand looks bent backwards! I personally have never had an issue at this salon. The techs are friendly and it's now my preferred place to go. I am concerned to see the negative comments but I've used Great Nails probably over 20 times with no problem. I'm not happy that someone there made a person of color feel unwelcome. I love this place for a mani pedi. Everyone is very nice, and they do a fantastic job. I always have problems with "gel" nails lasting even a week, but when I go here, my "gels" look great for 3 weeks! My pedicures always stay nice for a long time as well. They give a great leg and foot massage, and even use the sea salt scrub that other places charge extra for. read more

I was very excited to find a salon that was close to where I live and that had talented nail technicians. I was very pleased with the manicures and pedicures I received from Amy and Katie but will not be going there again due to some very inappropriate comments and questions from a male employee, who I believe may be the owner. I was having my nails done by Katie when the male employee asked if my breasts were real. I said "that's a pretty personal question to ask someone don't you think?" he responded with "well are they?" I told him they weren't and then he proceeded to ask me if I was married, why I wasn't married, what my boyfriend does, why he hasn't asked me to marry him and other personal questions. I felt very uncomfortable and found the whole conversation to be very unprofessional. I almost got up and walked out during my service but I really needed to have my nails done. I hope someone addresses this issue so other women don't have to feel uncomfortable in a place where they should feel safe. read more
