I stopped by today for my son's school event and I have not been here in YEARS! The place is definitely very much fun!! My son loved it, it was his first time here and wants to come back! They had great songs, good quick food choices, the staff were friendly, the ambiance and vibe in here is amazing and cool! They even had a glow in the dark dance where they shut the big bright lights off and that was super fun! The kids loved it! My son is not a pro at skating yet but he freaking loved it and he wants to come back. They also had Mario there to take pictures with the kids, after the kids skated they even had a dance party for them all! Super cute! It was a good time! They also had a cart full of glow in the dark lights and stuff then also a candy one too! I snagged a blue raspberry ooze tub and my son got a lollipop burger looking thing haha.

My grandkids love hanging out here. Book online or at the door. It was my first time visiting. I plan to go back. It would be great if they open other locations near southwest near South Mountain or Avondale area. The summer heat is coming so indoor activities are great

Slippery floors for slider skates. Adult night was mellow compared to Cali. Adult night is Thursday 8:30-11:30pm.

I had checked the website earlier THAT SAME DAY to check the session time, and it was still being advertised. There was no notice that the rink would be closed to the public. No one knew about this. I stood in the foyer and watched them turn away whole families and a continuous stream of their regular patrons. This is such a disrespectful way to treat customers. Some of us have a very long drive to get there. My problem is that this wasn't a one-off occasion. THIS IS A REGULAR ISSUE. Multiple times, Mesa has failed to adequately announce closures and facility issues. Their website and socials are always wrong, and if you call to check, no one answers the phone. At a bare minimum, customers need to know when the business is open and when it's shut. That's a baseline operating procedure. There is no excuse in this day and age for not being able to relay reliable opening and closing times. If there is an emergency issue, that's understandable, but failing to notify people about a private booking is not. We just want to know when we can skate. Why can't you even do that? You fail before I even walk in the door.

There is a small parking lot behind the skating ring. Parking was free. We visited on 12/30/23. I purchased tickets the day before, which I highly recommend. Tickets were $10/person. Upon arrival, they had a stand by line and a pre-purchased ticket line. There were a lot of people waiting in standby, as tickets for this day were sold out. Tickets are only needed for ice skating. There is lots of room for family/friends to watch and hangout while you skate. After checking in, we were given tickets that we exchanged for skates. They only had hockey style skates. Note, the small size skate is an 8T (toddler). So if your toddler has a smaller foot they give them foot skates, which attach to the bottom of kid shoes. There was plenty of seating to sit and put shoes on. We went with family so they held onto our shoes, otherwise you would have to rent a locker to keep items in. Next to the skate checkout stand were ice skating assists (plastic walkers for young kids, see pic). These were an additional $5 to rent, WORTH IT! There were several employees constantly brushing the ice. On this particular day the sun was warm and the ice was melting a bit, so they had to keep brushing the water, but this didn't interfere with our skating. We enjoyed the ice skating. Cheap and fun family outing. There was an AT&T pop up tent nearby so we checked out the booth where my kids got to jump in the snow globe! So fun! There was one dessert food truck also, and I saw online that they had other trucks coming and other fun events. Definitely worth checking out!

Because it doesn't snow in the Valley, these little makeshift rinks are the way to go in Arizona. For awhile, CitySkate was located on Central Ave and could hold quite a few people. But because of the light rail extension construction, it got moved to the CityScape plaza area. This has made the ice skating rink smaller and more crowded. So I haven't been in quite some time because of this. CitySkate usually opens around Thanksgiving weekend and stays open until after the New Year. General admission prices are close to $20. Kids, seniors and military are a little cheaper. There is a Christmas Tree in the center of the rink that you can skate around. This is a fun option for families during the holidays if it isn't too crowded.
