I had sesame combo and could not tell the shrimp from the chicken--they were so overcooked. The sauce tasted (and looked and smelled) like it was scorched, so I ended up throwing much of my entree away. My wife's lo mein was greasy, as was most of everything else: egg rolls, fried noodles (even they tasted scorched), cheese won ton, and fried shrimp (over done). read more

Been ordering from this place for years and the only negative thing was the rude lady that worked the front. Well last night we order $60 worth of food and all of it was horrible! Every dish has changed in quality, freshness and taste. Not sure if the business changed hands because for the first time in 9 years the rude lady was not working the front and normally on a Friday night the place was crazy busy, not the case yesterday the place was dead. We ordered $60 worth of food, each dish comes with rice we ate our food with fried rice and I also ordered a white rice I was putting the white rice onto my little ones plate and noticed something black got a closer look at it and found it was a bug. A little hole in the wall kind of place. Good for a quick bite to eat. The inside isn't that nice, there's a bunch of seating and a TV. You can see directly into the kitchen and see the food being made. The menu is what you'd expect. It's filled with typical American Chinese food, Orange Chicken, Beef and Broccoli - all that good stuff. We got food to go, though. It took about ten minutes for the food to be ready. Which is quick, it's made fresh so you get a hot meal. The food as a whole gets the job done. The Orange Chicken is pretty okay, fried rice is decent too. Nothing to write home about. Update to a prior review - this restaurant is under new ownership and unfortunately the photos and past reviews should no longer be applied. We purchased the same "regular" order from the newly sold restaurant without any knowledge of the ownership change and were sadly very disappointed and have no plans to return. Our order included Orange Chicken, Beef & Broccoli, 2 orders of Combination Fried Rice and now we had to order Wontons (as they used to be included for free). The order totaled more than $60. which is more than $10. more than before the change. My son who loves Orange Chicken refused to eat more than 3 pieces and thought it tasted like bad Bar-B-Q (it was quite dry). The Beef & Broc was equally dry and disappointing. Our go-to staple Combo Fried Rice was unique as I've never had red onions included in the mix. The menu has been completely revamped and now includes some Thai options as well as Boba - items popular with millennials (like my own kids). If anything was wrong in the past I knew I could call the owner and he would make it right. The new owners seem very nice but after a rough night with diarrhea I have no plans to return. Here's my old review as a memory of what this place once was: The Great Wall Chinese food has been a wonderful staple for awesome Chinese food that our entire family loves! They deliver to Frederick which has been a great advantage as the 3 other "Chinese" restaurants in this area referred to as "Carbon Valley" are mediocre at best. The food has been consistently good and on the rare occasion when it wasn't the manager would make it right. The value for the food we purchased has been incredible as we can have multiple meals out of the double order of "Special Fried Rice", Orange chicken, and Beef and Broccoli that our family enjoys. They always seem to throw in extra items (egg rolls, or some other tasty items) that take the order to the next level though we sometimes don't get all of the fortune cookies for all family members. My in-laws love this restaurant so after a lot of recommendations my Husband and I decided to try it. I'm very picky when it comes to Chinese food so my standards are pretty high. We ordered chicken lo mein, sesame chicken and fried rice. It was all very good. Not the best lo mein I've ever had but still very good. The sesame chicken was great considering I don't like deep fried chicken. And the fried rice was not what you'd typically find at a Chinese restaurant but that's what I liked about it. It was made how my Grandma taught me to make it (except without veggies). We will order this again the next time we want take out fast. read more

I know our options are limited up here, but we need to band together and stop eating this crap. OK so we were hesitant to eat here bc of the reviews but we really wanted Chinese and well there's not many choices in Fort Lupton. With that said omg so glad we tried it. HUGE portions! It's like a 4 or 5 entree from panda express. So next time the husband and I will share! Great prices, food was fresh, hot, and delicious. I had the orange chicken, and fried rice. My husband had the Kung pao chicken with fried rice. Both were amazing. They also threw in 5 free cookies and 2 fortune cookies. We also tried the veggie egg rolls, which were perfect the best I've ever had! We will be back soon, until then I think it will take us a week to eat all this food lol. read more

I got my order to go. I had garlic chicken, sweet and sour soup. The garlic chicken had good flavor but would had been better had they not forgot the rice!! The soup was not very good. When I called and told them they forgot my rice they told me I could come get some. I explained I lived twenty miles away. They offered me free rice next time!! Wow that was very generous.
