Took my parents here for pho, as I wanted to try a different pho place. We got here close to 8 pm and there was hardly anyone, which was great. The place is casual and clean. The waiter was very nice but the service was lacking. It took a very long time for our food and to go order. There were only 3 people operating. I think when we got there, the place was supposed to be closed at 8 pm but they allowed us to eat. Also, there were quite a few others who came in after us too so the place started to pick up. I understood that there were only 3 of them and we were patient. If it was a lot busier and I had to get elsewhere, then I think I would've been very impatient. Anyways, we placed our order for 2 eggroll appetizers, 3 pho orders, and a chicken fried rice to go. The eggroll appetizer was good. The eggrolls are not your typical size cut into pieces. They are tiny rolled eggrolls cut in halves. The pho broth was decent, but they were not really generous on the pho noodles. My mom and I had a medium order and my dad had a small order. From the looks of the sizes, a large order of pho would've been the right size to order here. The chicken fried rice was delicious, per my son. When I went to pay my bill which came out to be 98 dollars with tips, I just thought it was over priced for what we had and the quantity of each dish. I understand it is a mom and pop restaurant and would love to see them continue to succeed. Like I said, food was all delicious. Come here, ONLY, if you have a lot of patience to wait, don't have places to get to afterwards, and looking to generously spend here. Hopefully, they can make some changes as the staff is nice. Egg drop soup was really good for me. I come here sometimes just for that soup. The vermicelli with shrimp was very good too. The place is sad to me. Nobody is ever here it seems like. The service is lacking but they try. And the inside might as well be in Viet Nam. It's like eating in a warehouse. BUT, I still like the egg drop soup and the vermicelli with large shrimp. First time trying this place, the atmosphere could definitely be improved! Only two other tables in the place with people eating, it was dead silent. There is no ambiance, no decor, no personality to the place. The service isn't top notch by any means but they are friendly. There was slight language barrier but they try and they were funny! This place has good spring rolls and pho. They have pretty good thai tea and bobas too. I dont know why so many give bad ratings. Yes, from time to time you will get something that maybe was expired in a can, it could have been on the back of the shelf or something. Give them a break. For the most part the pho ingredients have been fresh for the couple of years that we have been dining here. And it seems like one family runs it. So, I wouldn't expect fast service. It's just about being realistic with expectations, especially during this pandemic. Most food establishments could not keep all of their staff, some shutting down entirely. Almost choked on a piece of plastic that was inside the dumplings, when I pointed it out to the server she refused to take the plate away and just threw away the plastic, and promised their wouldn't be anymore plastic in the remaining dumplings. Three stars maybe, my wife and I decided to order some PHO before seeing a movie. I had beef and tripe she had beef and extra shrimp. She had three pieces of meat and two baby shrimp ($3.00 extra) and very few noodles. And I had three small pieces of meat and hardly any noodles at all. One of the employees thought it was okay to stick her bare hands into my mothers soup after she made a complaint that the meat wasn't fresh, she also demanded that my mom pay for the tampered soup that she didn't even enjoy. Not even two bites were taken out of said soup. Oh but the hospitality doesn't stop there, she proceeds to follow my mom out to her car and ATTACK her before taking some of her personal items and refusing to give them back until the police arrived and asked her multiple times to give it back. Really bad. Service was very slow. Food was not good. I did not eat any of the meat. It was all fat, and the piece that I ripped off of the fat to try, tasted like mystery meat. The kids plates were very small. Rice is cheap, if they aren't going to give you a full serving of chicken they could atleast give you a decent portion of rice. There was maybe half a cup. Stopped in here for dinner to grab a quick bite. The owner greeted us as we walked in asking if we were dining in or taking out. I mentioned we were dining in and she said to sit anywhere. We grabbed the first table and waited for her to take our order. From across the restaurant she yelled to ask us what we wanted. The only time she came to our table was to bring the food. While the service was lacking the food was edible. My real issue came when it was time to pay. She told me my total and ran my card. Then I asked for the itemized receipt. When I looked it over she charged $2.00 extra for well I'm not sure what, it just said extra side. And the total after that was still $.50 less than what she charged. After asking her about this, she pointed to a small sign that said they charge an extra $1.00 per meal and .$50 per app. So, she still over charged me by $1.00. While $1 is nothing in the grand scheme of things, it's the dishonesty that I want others to beware of. read more

With high hopes of finding decent pho in Brighton I stopped in for lunch today, unfortunately I was left searching. I ordered vietnamese egg rolls and a medium pho. The egg rolls were pretty good but lacked quality fixings and they skimped on the fish sauce at delivery. The pho was obviously thrown together with a large clump of pre-prepared noodles and a near flavorless broth. Meat was almost non-existent and it just seemed lacking. The kicker that dropped them from 3 stars to 2 was the sanitation (or lack there of) factor. When I went for the classic garlic-chili paste I found it in one of the old parmesian cheese shakers (this place used to be an italian food place) On the front of the jar was a sticker that says "unscrew the lid and scoop" which really isn't a big deal. Unforunatly under the lids was black and nasty and the lid was rusting. Super gross and unsanitary. I was going to post a picture but I didn't think it was appropriate. Needless to say, take a drive. Nice place. I came for lunch on a Saturday and I was the only person there. That made me nervous, almost left. Glad I didn't. Nice lady working there. I had the lunch combo, beef broccoli and egg roll. Lots of flavor. 7 bucks! It's a little dated and could use a coat of paint but this place has survived a year the COVID across the street from movie theater, it's amazing it's still open. I hate writing this review as I adore the owner but unfortunately I need to share a warning to those with severe food allergies. I went in today and got shrimp spring rolls which were supposed to come with a side of fish sauce due to the peanut sauce having soy sauce a.k.a. gluten Allergen. When the rolls came out they had the peanut sauce on the plate and it was poured all over one roll when I mentioned it she said oh sorry and came back quickly with two rolls and the fish sauce I could see that they had wiped off the peanut sauce. Not only did this pose a threat to me with a gluten allergy but anyone with a peanut allergy as well. After she sat another group I asked her to come over and explained that I would get severely sick and I needed a new one made... in less than a minute she came back with the same roll & I could tell have been wiped off again. I will not be returning to this restaurant... The severity of this and lack of correcting the situation is not worth my health or yours. read more

I've been eating pho my whole life, these people are cheap and not only charge you an outrages price for the styrofoam to go plates but they also give the same portions for a small pho and a large pho.
