We used to go here a lot, unfortunately the last 3 times we ate here I got sick. The first two times I thought it was something else, but after the third time I got sick I was done with this place. I'm only posting a review to warn others. I ordered the chicken pho all 3 times, so I suspect it's the chicken being cooked wrong but who knows. Either way I'm never going back here. Very sad because their food was mostly very tasty. It's unfortunate, it used to be my favorite. :( read more

everything was delicious - we tried the sesame chicken, orange chicken, shrimp lo mein and crab wontons! the restaurant was about 1/3 full which was decent for a Thursday.. with that being said it was pretty slow getting food and drinks. additionally there were many tables that needed cleaned off but the staff was too busy to do so. read more

Decided to give this place a shot so I ordered something simple-lo mein with chicken and veggies and hot n sour soup. The soup was not good. It tasted old and salty. No hot or sour to be found. The noodles were so drenched in old gross oil that I had to tap out half way through. I battled intense stomach cramps through the night. I would not come back to this establishment. read more

Bad service. Food was terrible. The waitstaff didn't notice us until more than 5 minutes after walked in, although there was a doorbell and she was standing at the front talking to another worker. It seemed pleasant enough. Then, my food was delivered. I ordered simple chicken fried rice. This is the most DISGUSTING chicken I have ever seen. Every piece was fried up and oily and looked more like skin than meat. It was chewy and grissely. I spit out the ONE piece I put in my mouth. I picked the rest out and piled it on the side of my plate. The rice was bland and had very few vegetables. When she picked up our plates, she said nothing about the pile of uneaten chicken on mine. I have never had such horrible fried rice. I was sad because we came specifically for that. This is one place we will not return. read more

Wah is right! Zero flavor and the tofu was limp and not firm. My son got the honey walnut shrimp and the sauce is like mashed potatoes. The walnuts were soft and rotten. Won't go here again! read more

All the people giving this place five stars obviously don't know what Chinese/Thai/Vietnamese food is suppose to taste like. Obviously this is a family run business that is seriously under staffed all the time. Wait times are long for pickup or dine in. Pros: only Chinese food around for miles. If you need a fix and don't want to drive it'll do the job and the price is decent. Cons: waiting too long for mediocre food is not ok. There is a reason the restaurant is not packed on a Friday night. Adding more menu items doesn't solve your problem. Your problem is the service, speed, and quality of food that comes out. While I was eating I overheard another customer get charged for gratuity for a party of 3 and they didn't apologize at all but tried to explain it. This was my 3rd time there and after the long waits on all 3 occasions and mediocre food it will take just as long for me to drive to Broomfield or Thornton for better Chinese food. Previously, we had only had take-out once from King Wah, and with more traditional Chinese dishes; sesame chicken and some version of a Triple Delight (spicy Chicken, Pork and Shrimp). My guy seemed to like his okay, I wasn't super pleased with mine but we decided to give them another shot, this time with samples from their other asian offerings: Thai and Vietnamese. What we got: Thai Spring Rolls - Good, the sauce was a little different from other places but tasty Pad Thai - Nice portion size and seemingly more affordable than the competition but a more tomato-y and less peanut-y than traditional Chicken Pho - Medium size was still a very generous portion, more than enough for dinner and leftovers for an additional meal. A bit bland, but easily customizable with all the fixin's provided The service was just ok. Not super friendly but attentive enough without hovering. Overall I'd say the food was good, the service was ok. We'll likely be back...eventually. read more

We've eaten at King Wah several times. I thought the portions were good but the customer service was poor. Almost ignored or like we were in their way of doing other important things of which I don't know. We felt so uncomfortable that we started ordering our food to go and my husband will pick it up on the way home. We would ask for extra white rice never got it we got less food then if we ate in a restaurant. And sometimes the food we ordered wasn't in our bag to go. We got so frustrated that we started going to Thai Kitchen in Longmont which is excellent. As a customer we shouldn't have felt so unwanted when there was truly very few customers in the restaurant to begin with. And then to not receive enough rice for our to-go orders just put us over the edge to the point where we will not go back. read more

Our favorite place in Firestone! We come in for a great bowl of Pho quite a bit. I also like the Pad Thai and Beef/Broccoli. Tried the Tequila Beef last time I was here and was pleasantly surprised. Grilled beef and steamed veggies make it a healthy alternative. My daughter likes the Orange Chicken--and so do I. read more

I have eaten here before. 1st time, sooooo good 2nd time meh... at best. We thought we'd give it a go for the 3rd time tonight. Wow; sooo bad. The Hong Kong Noodles were so terrible! There are no words to explain how bad. The noodles came dry and crusty and cold in a separate box. I think it's important to note that the noodles in the middle of the serving were cold and soggy. The "brown sauce" and other ingredients that came in a styrofoam cup with a lid, was a watered down salty sparse mess. Sooo gross. The sweet and sour chicken was 90% breading and dry. So nasty. I called the restaurant; the did not care. At first they could not even understand that the food they just sold us was HORRIBLE. Once there was a firm understanding, the woman on the phone told me they could bring more food. Or there was nothing they could do (we picked up the food). No apologies anything. We thought about having them bring more, but it seemed like it would just be easier and faster to feed the kids something at the house and toss this food where it belonged. In the trash. We didn't ask for a refund; that's not what this is about. It's about the audacity of businesses to sell such a poor quality of food and think it's OK. Then make the paying customers feel stupid for even calling. The dinner was upwards of 30 bucks with a 10 dollar tip. All I can say is BUYER BEWARE! read more

Far from great food. We ordered take out and it was done in a good amount of time and was very hot, the way it should be. The Mongolian beef was 90% onions, with only a handful of beef pieces. The chicken fried rice had very little flavor to it and the chicken low mein was also quite flavorless. The beef and broccoli was also a little bland but at least had some flavor to it and it wasn't smothered in onions. We won't be returning. read more

We have been several times and also have had take out. This last go-around was not the best experience. Food was bland (No flavor). I ordered Kung Pao Chicken and usually it is good and hot (spicy). Not even close this time. Portions are good size, so that's not the issue with this review. We have definitely experienced far better taste in the past. I've been to various restaurants in Chinatown in NYC several times, and I think that they would be highly disappointed with the suedo- Chinese food concoctions they serve here. I have been very happy with the food here. I lived in China for a year and while its not authentic, it is closer than a lot of other pan Asian places I have been. Their pho isn't anything special, but it is the closest place in about 15 miles that you can get pho. The food was good, but they never brought one of my children's meals--my other child's Gyoza was oily and cold, so we didn't bother asking for the other. The happy family and pho were good, although a bit sweet. Don't bother with the boba milk tea--way too sweet and powdery. Nobody finished theirs. We were one of two families in the restaurant, and service was painfully slow. We won't bother eating here again--there are better choices in Longmont. read more

This is one place my husband goes for lunch very often. So, this review is mainly a reflection of his positive comments. I've only been twice and have been very pleased. They have Thai, Chinese and Vietnamese selections, as I've found many restaurants in Northern Colorado trend. Hubby very rarely gets anything but the Panang Chicken Curry. I got the Chicken rice noodle bowl this time, but last time I ordered General Chicken off the lunch menu. Can't complain. Service and food have been great every time. read more

Ordered for delivery, and it took 2 hours to get to me for 2 noodle dishes and rice. The food was cold and congealed, the chicken tasted like shrimp, and the beef tasted like it was microwaved. Even the white rice was terrible. I wanted to give this place a chance despite the previous reviewers, but I was sadly let down in more ways than one. And I'd also prefer to give my money to small businesses, but in this case; I should've just gone to Panda Express. If the owner of the restaurant is reading this, please figure out a way to make these experiences better for future potential customers. I don't like giving negative reviews, but I have to be honest. Just ordered to be delivered the Tofu Pho large and two Thai Springrolls with peanut sauce. 1st off they put this slimy tofu in the box...I about hurled getting it out of the go box into the trash. Most Pho's come with the cubes of tofu that have been fried. 2nd the Pho only had 1 sparce sprig of the basil in it, no green onions and about 1 Tablespoon of bean sprouts. The broth was not very good at all. There were no other veggies in the Tofu pho which at other Pho restaurants I usually get some bok choy, carrots and broccoli in it too. The Thai springrolls were good, but the peanut sauce was so runny (like liquid water with peanut chunks) I had to add peanut butter to thicken it up. Basically I paid for soup broth and noodles...I would not ever call it Pho and will continue to drive the 20 miles I do to get excellent Pho down in Broomfield. I might add that I have had other things on the menu at King Wah like Sesame Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Combination Fried Rice, Kung Pao Beef, Beef w Broccoli and they are always excellent - very good flavor and presentation and their Crab Fried Won Tons are the best I ever had. read more

So my first visit and was confused about who owns and cooks here because the name indicates Chinese and there was some Chinese on the menu but look like more thai entrées then Chinese. There is also Vietnamese food like pho. I asked and they are Chinese. I typically have been burned in the past when I order thai in a non thai, or Cambodian owned restaurant. I have gotten pad thai that tastes like lo mein so I stuck with Chinese food. I ordered egg drop soup, egg rolls and mu shu chicken with fried rice. The eggs where absolutely nothing special... Ok at best. The egg drop soup was good. The Mu shu which one of my favorites, arrive already assembled into the... Mmm think burrito type mandarin pancakes. 4 of these. 1st bite... Hmmm... 2nd bite... I had to look inside. No sauce. This is extremely strange because mu shu always has plum sauce or hosin inside. Without it these were pretty plain and had a tiny hint of lighter fluid or maybe smokiness. Sounds strange but true. I think it is the hot wok slightly chars the veggies so it gives it a slight burnt taste. Veggies were slightly under cooked. Would have liked it tossed just a few seconds more in the wok. I like them to have a bite but not raw crunchy. Just really disappointed that there was no plusm sauce with it. Without it was just a chicken stir fry wrap. It came with fried rice which was yellow and had no taste no peas or and vegetable. Maybe had tiny speaks or carrot but hard to tell. Same for the egg. If I come back I will have to try something else. read more
