New to the area gave this place a try, extremely disappointed... seemed as if the food was under cooked or maybe even very old food being re heated. Beef was rubbery and tasted weird. I decided to try this place out since there's not much Chinese cuisine around here. The food smelt good so I was excited to try it out. But to my disappointment it was not good at all. The food had an odd taste. I couldn't tell if it was drenched in vinegar or if it was just old food. The noodles were extremely doughy and plain, severely undercooked on top of that. As someone who loves Chinese food this is definitely a no go. The guy at the register was super nice. So there's that. But the place itself is super outdated and dirty. This was my GoTo place in Brighton, but our food this weekend was not good. Maybe they have changed ownership? I can no longer recommend and will look for a different restaurant for Asian take out. Food arrived late and cold from Doordash. The vegetable eggrolls were not very crunchy and it looks liked some type of mushy meat inside. The dumplings tasted undercooked and no flavor. The Mei fun was very bland and the beef fried rice barely had full pieces of beef, more like stragly pieces. I don't know if they changed cooks, etc., but I wouldn't recommend this food. We paid $69.00 dollars due to all the fees from Doordash and they were late. DoorDash is nothing less than a rip off. The food Arrived, late, cold and didn't taste right. I've been to this establishment twice now so it is time for a review. I love good Chinese food. I've eaten various forms and flavors in numerous locations. My old neighborhood had a great little Chinese joint with good quality food and huge portions for little cost. It looked like this might be the same type of restaurant. Sadly, it turned out to be a disappointment. During both visits for take out, the service was decent and food prepared quickly. Once at home and eating our dishes things went awry. The quality of ingredients were mediocre and prepared poorly. Not a single entrée or appetizer offered a flavor that was pleasing. Moreover, on both occasions they made errors in taking our order. If you live in Brighton (or anywhere near) and you don't know about Greatwall, then you are either new or you really need to get out more. By far the best Chinese food around!! As most everyone has said Sesame Chicken is outstanding, and the Cream Cheese dumpling are out of this world! We eat here often and I would also recommend giving the Moo Shoo Shrimp a try. The best Moo Shoo I have ever had. The Mushroom Egg Foo Young is another to add to your list - they use several different mushrooms - if you are a fan of that flavor - this cannot be beat and the Egg Foo Young sauce is the best I have ever had. The Dumplings (fried or steamed) are worth a shout out as well. Even though it is very small for dining in - fun to do as the variety of folks that parade in and out at a constant pace, make this an experience in itself. read more

This place is great. I've been coming here for the last five years; their service has always been quick and the food tasty. I don't get the typical sesame chicken dishes, but lean more toward vegetable heavy dishes in which the vegetables have been crisp, fresh, and well prepared. Out of all of my experiences here, I have only had one poorly made dish, which in my book, isn't that bad considering how often I eat here. Sadly, My first interaction portended how the rest of my experience would be: I asked what was in the sesame roll. I love the shrimp egg foo young, sweet and sour pork/chicken, sesame beef and the cheese wontons. I read the reviews before trying the wontons and the reviewers were right. I am not crazy about the egg rolls or the gravy for the egg foo young. The gravy comes on the side. I love that the sweet and sour pork and chicken doesn't have the thick fatty batter that most restaurants have so that was a big plus in my book. Customer service is outstanding. I am pretty sure this is actually refering to "The Great Wall" Chinese which is in the strip mall off of 19th by the Safeway and the subway...if not, then this place gets a free three star review! Anyways, it was great for just quick, zip in, zip out Chinese food. Although since it was right next to my apartments, I could not complain. The Crab Rangoon's were oooo so good though, this place defiantly has some of the best that I ever did have. The hott and sour soup also is very good. The veggies were good but the rice was over fried.
