My family and I spent two nights and three days at the resort and it was not a good experience. Should I start with the blood or the poop? When we entered our room we found what looked like a crime scene in the bathroom. Blood smeared around the toilet, on the toilet seat, on the counter and behind the door. My wife called the front desk who said they would have someone come up to clean it. When we went back to our room, we found that the blood around the toilet was cleaned but everything else was left. I called the front desk and fifteen minutes later they sent a housekeeper and her supervisor. She told me she had just cleaned the mess and I pointed out all of the other blood splattered throughout the room. Me being upset - because I have four small children and don't want them exposed to the biohazard - I proceeded to ask how she could leave the room like that. Do they mop the floors and/or clean the toilets and sink when they clean the room for a new guest? This line of questioning upset the supervisor who got prickly and said, "Hey, she said she'll clean it. She didn't make this mess." I told him that rather than he giving me a hard time, maybe he should have the conversation with the person responsible for cleaning the room in the first place. Now, being a bit freaked out by their obviously low standards, I'm looking over the entire room and finding garbage under the couch, food crumbs under the fitted sheets, a sticky remote control, etc. Needless to say, the room was filthy. When we arrived, we decided to use the waterpark while we were waiting for our room to be ready. We entered the locker room and found puddles on the wet tile floors and no place to sit or place our clothes while we were getting changed. This resulted in our bags and clothes getting soaked as we put on our suits. We have a two year old and there was no place to change her. She couldn't lay on the wet floor so we had to change her standing up - which isn't easy because the floor was so wet it was extremely slippery. This may be one of the reasons they had to keep closing the pools to clean poop out of them. With no place to put on a swim diaper, it appears that some people were letting their children use the pool as their toilet. No joke! Within the first 10 minutes of being there, they had the kiddie pool and wave pool closed to clean out the turds. (And this was a very common occurrence each of the three days we were there). It was gross. The food was not much better. That's not to suggest that the food was "bad" it just got old eating the same thing every meal. When I arrived on Sunday they had chili on the lunch buffet. It was also on the dinner and lunch buffet on Monday and Tuesday, too. By Tuesday's lunch it looked like a dried-up bowl of ground beef - they didn't have the mindset to add some stock or water to give it the appearance of chili. It's almost as if they just gave up. Other than that, I can say that the chicken fingers and French fries were as good on Tuesday as they were the four other times I ate them. On a positive note, the people were extremely nice. Outside of the douchebag housekeeping supervisor, everyone appeared to go out of their way to be friendly. (This is the reason for my one star). Is it unreasonable to expect a call from the hotel manager after you had to call twice to have the blood cleaned from the bathroom? You'd think someone would want to say, "hey, we're sorry about that." Needless to say, they never called. read more

We booked a family vacation here last week during the American Spring Break Holiday. The price was a little steep I thought for the room we got (It was over $500 per night) Our room was supposed to be the nicest with a loft. It was nice, roomy but nothing great, what can you expect from a kid resort. We could have stayed somewhere much cheaper and went the to waterpark for a day or two and saved money but we did not go on a budget nor did we care about cost. We just wanted to have fun. and that we did. All our kids loved it ages 4 - 12. Our 12 and 10 year old were able to roam safely (I felt) I'm from Canada and find the area very safe. Our younger kids enjoyed the bed time stories. We were so busy we did not get to do all the ammeniites like the mini golf and the kids club or the spa. The buffet food was ok and price was quite inexpensive. But nothing to write home about. We had fun, glad we did it. Next time we will check out the Americana see how that compares. Overall wonderful trip, Niagara Falls has so much to do. So beautiful and fun!!! Maid of the Mist a MUST!! Anyway if you don't mind a lot of kids around and you don't mind spending some cold hard cash. Try it out. If you are going on a budget, it's not cheap!! read more

I'm not sure why people have such terrible opinions of this place. We LOVED it. I do agree that a lot of things are unnecessarily overpriced and that's the only reason I didnt give GWL 5 stars. I did my research beforehand and had a good idea of what I'd be spending so there were no surprises.The room itself was fairly priced. We paid $440 for one night after taxes & discounts; at roughly $100 per person, I found that decent. I couldn't see myself staying two nites. If you check in early and stay until mid-afternoon the next day you've got more than enough time to experience it all + I just can't justify spending almost /over $2000 when I could go somewhere overseas for the same price if not less. To help cut costs we brought snacks and beverages to have between meals. A lot of people reviewed the food badly and I wasnt taking the chance so we ate dinner off the resort. All restaurants are about a 10-15 min drive away. I can't comment on how good or bad the food was except for the breakfast buffet which was good & not too badly priced: $60 for 2 adults, 2 kids. We saw a lot of people bringing food in (some families even looked like they were sneaking in frozen entrees through the side entrances haha). We considered buying the Paw Pass ($65) but decided not to. I think if you're staying two nights, the Paw Pass is a good idea because it gives the kids something else to do rather than just the water park. We arrived after 1pm on Saturday and our room wasn't ready yet. The concierge said they would text us when the room was available and gave us our wristbands for the park (which also accessed our room - which is neat because we dont have to worry about losing cards or keys). We went ahead and did the water park until just before 4 and I checked my phone to see if the room was ready. The text came through at 1:55 so essentially even though they say check in is at 4pm, we could've had the room at 2pm. I suggest coming early to see if they can get your room ready before 4 - even if they can't just hang out in the waterpark or pool side for a couple hours. Now onto the room: I found the room/bathroom to be very clean and I'm a stickler for that. I check out the bathroom and sheets before I even settle in. The kids loved the Kids Kamp theme and the fact they had their own TV. The TV in the kids area didn't have the same channels as the tv in the main area of the room - not a big deal as we spent very little time in the room, anyway. The queen bed was quite comfy but the pillows were small - which is weird even the pillow cases were folded into themselves because they were too big for the pillows. The waterpark was a lot of fun! Locker rentals are available: $10 deposit that you get back if you return the key before closing. You can forfeit the deposit and receive a stuffed wolf and carry bag as a souvenir. Prices are $5, $10 and $15 for small, medium & large respectively (You can fit 2 full Jansports in a small). The slides are a lot of fun, very little wait times in lines even at peak times. The water is warm - not cold at all. You can tell the water is more chlorinated than your average pool but no one in my family had red or itchy eyes from it. Worst thing was our skin was drier than normal and a bit itchy but after we showered and lotioned we were just fine. The outdoor pool is great with family games & prizes. It should be noted the deepest areas of water are in the wave pool and the pool just outside the changerooms - and they are only at 5ft depth - you'll spend a lot of time crouched in the water if you're tall. FYI for people that wear glasses and need to see - some slides shoot water at your face so contact lenses may not be the best thing. I felt my lenses were going to fall out at any given time. I saw a LOT of people wearing their glasses, though. The change rooms are small but weren't that busy or crowded. There was a small wait for the showers as there is only three. We used the showers on the Sunday before heading home at 3pm since we'd already checked out of our room. The arcade kept the kids busy for a couple of hours and they enjoyed themselves there. Most machines are 2 and 4 credit games and a $10 game card comes with 30 credits. It goes fast so tell the kiddies to use their credits wisely or pay up for a bigger card limit. We did receive an offer to stay a second night at a discounted rate but we had other plans so we didn't take it. As for the customer service we had nothing but good experiences with the concierge, room service, greeting staff in the hallways, our waitress at breakfast, lifeguards and the staff operating the slides. I would definitely go back again and would recommend GWL to other families but I would stress staying only one night and be prepared to spend extra money on food and the arcade. At the end of the day, all the money that was spent aside, my kids had an amazing time, we were treated very well and its one for the memory books. I couldn't ask for more than that. read more

1st time here and it's not all I thought it would be. Great themed hotel but the food is horrible(burgers,hotdogs fries) we had the buffet for breakfast and the cooks we're very rude when my wife asked if they had pancakes. "Yeah there right there!" Is what we got. The food was lukewarm and had no taste. I was outraged when I got the bill and 15.99 per person and 9.99 for my 3 year old. The beds are very small and 2 days in row we found stains on our sheets. Waterpark is fun and it was not really crowed a plus, but it does get a little boring if your staying more then 2 days. I also found it funny that there is a $250 cleaning fee if u want to make popcorn in your room. Overall I will not be returning to this place there are much better deals out there. Being that u can't bring outside food the area has no other restaurant, u are forced to eat the overpriced garbage food this place offers. read more

Amazing! That was the main word out of my mouth this past weekend when me and my family visited GWL... My kids (6 and 10) had so much fun!! First they enjoyed all the theme, decorations and animals sounds all over the main hall, and the halls entering the rooms. Then they super enjoyed the room. We stayed at the loft with a balcony. The water park was a huge plus to them and to us. To the adults the outside hot tub was the blessing sent by God, with the exception of the time when a lady decided to smoke there.... Now, the most amazing thing for my kids was the wond, and the magic game, which ended up entertaining them, making them move and run all over the hotel, use their brain to find the items, and give us the adults some quiet time. Overall, the best resort I have being with my kids. I don't see people without kids enjoying much, because it is noisy. There are kids running and screaming around from morning to 11pm at least. The rooms and amenities were clean! The staff was really helpful and nice, always ready to hear us and help with whatever we needed. The down thing to me was the lack of a shuttle from the hotel to the falls and Clifton Hill. Taking that out, they are 5 stars all along! read more

We used to be repeat guests here. Unfortunately they cut down services included and decided that price stays the same. Funny people! It's used to be our fav place for weekend getaway and now we have to sadly say Bye. it was always on a higher side but at least we had nice family time, worry free, you know. I consider spending 2 grands for 2 night stay is pretty high. You can go to Florida for that price. The hotel is nicely done but pricey considering that food is awful to the point you just HAVE TO go somewhere to eat . It's also priced high. Slice of pizza is $5 before tax and once you had a piece you will never come for a second one. It's SOUR with the chewy dough slightly undercooked in top ! We ended up having cold baked potato in buffet while our bill was $23 before tax per person. there are several truly amazing spots to eat out but it only takes your time off. And instead of staying in and relaxing and enjoying our stay we've paid so much for we ended up driving back and fourth to have breakfast, lunch and dinner. Overall just save a hassle, spend your money somewhere else who can provide you with the great family time. We gave it up after having it visited 16 times. We're on a search now! read more

Upon arrival we checked in and then went straight to the waterpark for an hour or so before dinner. A few hours later both of my children (2 & 4) developed chemical pink eye from the harshness of the water. It was a terrible, sleepless night of eyes getting stuck shut and crying. When we notified the management, no one seemed to care at all. We were offered no compensation whatsoever. In the end we had to leave the next morning and miss out on using the waterpark for the whole day as we intended. So we paid $400 to stay overnight and use the park for an hour. We weren't even trying to get and $ back, we were just hoping that they would perhaps give us a day pass for a future date because my kids were so incredibly disappointed. No such luck. Great Wolf Lodge is a great place to take your family. Your kids will have lots of fun. The focus at Great Wolf Lodge is all about the kids. They are very attentive to details and make you feel very welcome. It is a little over-the-top with talking trees and talking animals but lots and lots of fun. You will want to go for at least a couple of days and you will save money by going on a Friday night or mid week. There are not many places at the resort to sit and lounge quietly without the influence of kids or talking animals. They have conference rooms which are comfortable and ideal for business conferences. The waterslides and pool are very well-maintained and lines are reasonable. There are lots to do for kids of all ages. We will definitely be back and will be sure to have a massage at the essentials spot which is first class. This is a great place for a child's birthday party but you will easily drop $500 over a two night stay. read more

We go to this great wolf lodge at least 2 times a year. The kids absolutely love it. The waterpark is very clean as well as the rooms. My only 2 complaints is that the entire place is pricey (the rooms, the food, the games, etc) and they don't have enough seating in the park. This past visit, I had to stand with my stroller for a majority of the time because every seat in the place had been claimed. read more

We just stayed here in July 2012 with our two boys. We've been several times and it is always a great place for families. Even during busy times, there are not really long lines or too many people in the pools. The mini- golf is good as well. We like the theme rooms with bunk beds - the kids love the tv in their "room". It is expensive, but they often have sales and it does include the use of the watermark (starting at noon on arrival until close on departure). If you want to eat all three meals here, then the meal plan is good, but we often eat a breakfast or dinner (pizza) in our room. It doesn't get 5 stars due to the cost and a lot of the rooms have poor views (I recommend not getting first floor, especially odd number rooms). read more

I love this place, but ever since I came here over spring break, it was kind of a let down. First of all, the hotel is really made for kids of the ages 5 - 10. They have no special activities for the older kids. The water park is nice, but water is dumped on you from the balcony above that you get wet even when you dry off. The lazy river shouldn't have a ton of buckets dumping water on you, it should just be relaxing. There are no chairs that you are able to lay back in, and my sister even got food poisoning last year. The room was nice and comfortable, but way to expensive. The gift shop is way to overpriced. A small keychain was $7.00, which is completely ridiculous. My friend even got a plushie snake that was $24.00. The snake had two holes in it when he bought it, and they have a designated sewer to fix the stuffed animals, which in my opinion is a little suspicious. Overall I think this place is great, but the expenses that go into everything here is way to overwhelming. read more

Waterpark started off ok until kids entered ADULT ONLY hot tub and staff on duty not willing to ask them to leave (very upset with staff attitude in waterpark- couldn't care less). Picture scanners for a few waterslides not working, kids very upset no pics to take home. Magic Quest was awesome for kids, kept kids busy when not in park. Management (assistant manager) was a very big disappointment, on check-out day found flat tire on my vehicle with smashed vodka,beer and cooler bottles all around my vehicle and vehicles around mine, when management was informed of problem, assistant manager (Pat) had a real layed back not our responsibility attitude. Said not responsible for what happens in parking lot. Took 2 hrs before they started to clean glass up, even after I said about safety issue with kids in parking lot, Management wouldn't offer any kind of compensation for tire ($230 to replace). Pat informed us that one unhappy customer does not really concern him, I personally think management team needs to be retrained or REPLACED. I've paid half as much for other resorts and had no problems. read more

Our family have been to GWL 6 times. The kids love the Water park, Magic Quest and Arcade however the rooms are outdated more like 2 star hotel and the food options are terrible. This is honestly the first review I've ever written, and trust me when I say...I'm pretty low maintenance. My expectations are not super high but I was really put off on our recent stay. We returned to GWL Niagara for our second time May 5,6,7 of 2014. We enjoyed the water park the first night...but the following morning at 10 a.m. my husband went down the Squirrel Falls water slide and ended up with a gaping gash on his left forearm by his elbow. We ended up having to leave right away for the hospital and he ended up needing 6 stitches and was told he could not get them wet for 7 days...which the main reason for GWL is the water park so this obviously put a serious damper on our holiday. Upon arrival back to the resort from the hospital my husband let the lifeguard who was on duty know that he had gone to the hospital as he had advised. We were told they shut the slide down briefly to inspect it but was re-opened after no discovery was made, and that someone would be checking in with us regarding the incident. That was the end of it...in fact nobody contacted us or spoke to us further about the incident. At all. On top of that we couldn't help but notice the serious decline in the quality of customer service and food since our last stay! There were a lot of young adults working in the water park and food areas...very few could give anyone the time of day, and spent more time talking to each other than anything else. I witnessed several times during our stay other patrons asking questions or kids attempting to talk to them (as kids tend to do) and were addressed in a rushed or unpleasant manner, as though you were putting them out somehow. Things are overpriced already...but we decided to order a cheese pizza from Northwoods Pizza Company anyway. It was thinner than a thin crust (if that's even possible) and tasted like cardboard. This should have been an indicator to spend no further, but against my better judgement, we ordered ice cream cones and are told they are out of regular cones, and only have chocolate dipped ones. As our only option at this point, we obviously say ok...except once we pay the bill and get them to the table, we notice not only did we get charged .99 extra for each one, but that the chocolate "dipped" part was dried out and had the look of dried spores on them! I wish I had've taken a picture because obviously they were either old or had gotten melted/wet then dried...either way, they were gross. Needless to say...after spending $22 on 4 cones, throwing them out was a blow. Why didn't I complain then and there...because at this point I had given up on the idea that anybody working there cared about anything at all. To top it off...we got the girls a pink "build a bear" wolf stuffy before we left, only to find shortly after leaving on our way home that the one of the wolf stuffy's was coming apart at the seams. I sewed it up as soon as we got home...but seriously?! I'm very disappointed. I definitely do not foresee us returning which is a shame, it was such a let down from our first visit. We had planned to budget this in as an annual family vacation spot but we will go elsewhere for certain now. Everyone I have told has been appalled (about the injury alone) and I have even spoken to a few who have agreed that everything has definitely declined there. Previous to this I had always spoke highly of GWL...but after this, I would have to advise anyone to look elsewhere or seriously lower your expectations to avoid disappointment. Love this hotel, food fabulous. We loved it so much we went back two weeks later. Would have given more stars, except when we were there a conference was also being held which made it super busy. As well the conference subject maybe shouldn't have been held at a family resort. Other than that we loved the place. Next time though we will make sure no conference booked both for the fact it becomes too busy and because we felt a conference of such a nature shouldn't be held at a family resort. read more

Great atmosphere, great food, great service. I wish the location was different since Niagara Falls already had an indoor waterpark and a lot of the attractions in this area aren't necessarily great for tiny ones, but if that is my only complaint it could be easily fixed by opening another Canadian gwl lol! A few things that I think would help everyone enjoy their stay a little more would be a few rules for the waterpark, for ex: - the shallow pool and 4 small slides are meant for small children therefore there is no reason for older children to be in this area, horseplaying and being rough. Multiple times we had to leave this area and go to the lazy river since it's the only other area calm enough for a little one to enjoy -people shouldn't be allowed to save a seat for the entirety of the day when they aren't even in the waterpark. On several occasions we could not find anywhere to sit or put our things down (and we have small kids so you know we had to bring things), even though the waterpark was fairly sparse! -there should be designated seating areas for those with disabilities, I was annoyed not being able to find a seat, but I imagine the parent I saw needing to carry around her 60lb disabled son and not being able to sit down was even more annoyed read more

Blood Stained (Unsanitary Conditions) Ventured to Niagara falls over the weekend (07/19/14) and booked a room at The Great Wolf Lodge. As I have heard many rave reviews from past patrons I was lead to believe this would be a great hotel. After a long day of touring throughout the Niagara region we had returned to our room for what we expected to be a pleasant night's rest. Unfortunately, to our disgust and dismay we had found blood stained blankets and sheets as we were about to lay in bed. We called the front desk to raise our concern and they politely told me that a member of their staff would be up promptly to clean the mess. Upon the 20 minutes it took for them to arrive, they placed the soiled knits into a plastic bag and left us with replacements to fix our own bed. Unable to sleep as I felt the room had not actually been cleaned before we arrived, I spoke with the manager in the morning about what had happened that night. Her response was an offer of a discounted rate on our next visit...would you return to a hotel with blood stained bedding? I think I have already paid enough for what is considered to be a 4 star hotel. After leaving the resort unsatisfied and feeling dirty, I gave the hotel another opportunity to rectify their obvious lack of consideration and gave the head office a call to explain the repugnant circumstance. After two days of "investigation" I received a called back from a manager at their head office who thought it would be overly generous to offer me a 50% discount on my next visit. This hotel is not only insulting but a disgrace to customer service! I advise all future customers to think twice before booking. read more

Great Wolf Lodge is truly not worth the money that we work hard for. The rooms are dusty, the beds have hair on them and the room we stayed in the sink in the room made loud noises, we called the front desk where they sent up a "technician" to look at it and he said couldn't do anything about it that night. When we brought it up to management they said they can't do anything about it since there was no report made on our room. when I asked about the guy they sent up, I was told he WAS NOT a "technician". Seriously......so we were told they couldn't do anything about it since there was no report. I am disgusted by Management and will never go there again. I hope this review has people thinking twice about going there. read more

My sister and nephew shared the pull out couch in family suite 2052 and both awoke with an undeniable case of bed bug bites, confirmed by our doctors, only to receive an "inspection report" from the hotel indicating there is no trace of bed bugs in the room and telling us she is sorry we developed "a rash". How passive aggressive of them... After looking into past reviews, I've seen complaint's lodged before about bed bugs in the rooms. I don't recommend this hotel for the reason of cleanliness. read more

Terrible spa experience. I went for a birthday facial and massage. I came out of the spa with nail marks all over my face from the lady trying to do extractions. I had no pimples going in, but had huge red marks all over my face the next day following the facial. When I went in the next day to complain, the lady just laughed me away. Literally just came back from Great Wolf Lodge and was quite impressed. Prior to visiting I had concerns as I had read several bad reviews about the musty rooms, subpar food, and crowdedness (lobby, waterpark, and everywhere else). I was told that the lineup to check in would be ridiculous, people are rude when lining up for the waterslides, and bathrooms did not have soap or shampoo. Well then I must have gone at the right time because our family had a great time. I arrived at the lodge around 3:45 and did not have to wait to check in (2nd one in the line). The room was fine as the beds were clean, there were a sufficient amount of towels in the bathroom, and despite numerous complaints that there wasn't any soap, shampoo, or toilet paper, we had everything there. Nevertheless, we brought our own soap, shampoo, and toiletries but it was nice that all of the things people complained that weren't there, were actually present. The only issue I had with the rooms was with the bed sheets (for the bunk bed and the regular bed). The sheets were too small for the mattresses and they kept coming off when we slept. Waterslide wait times were great as my kids and I went on the waterslides over and over and over again. Food was pretty decent as I did not have any expectations (expecting burgers, fries, and junk) but was pleasantly surprised with steamed mussels, what appeared to be spicy coiled sausage made in house, steamed and pan-fried fish, bbq chicken, and other decently prepared foods. I also purchased the magic wand package for both my kids and they had so much fun with that. They also enjoyed the arcade downstairs and I was also impressed with the fitness centre on site. I also told the front desk that my kids birthdays were around that time and they both received wolf ears and each a free scoop of ice cream (single scoop but the staff there scooped soooo much, it looked like a triple scoop at other places). I was thoroughly impressed with the staff there, with the exception of the kitchen staff at the buffet as some of the remarks were a little unnecessary. Other than that, the staff in the waterpark, front desk, front of the restaurant and wait staff, and workers at the restaurants were all very good. I was also thoroughly impressed with the lifeguards on duty in the waterpark. They take their jobs very seriously as I watched all of them pace back and forth diligently to ensure that there wasn't anyone in danger. Thanks for making my overall experience at Great Wolf such a good one. My recommendation is to go during offseason as it makes the experience that much better. I would've given them a full 5 stars, but the kitchen staff kind of put me off. Despite this, I had a great time; keep up the good work! read more

Just back after two days. Third time I took the family there. Based on this visit we feel GWL is going down hill in a big way. First, the package we booked was not what they gave us when we checked in. I tried and tried to get it fixed but to no avail. The two days cost me $150 more than what I booked for. When I got home, I called the central Reservation centre and they said that the GWL at Niagara Falls was wrong in the package they gave me, and Imwas right. I was told it would be fixed, but it never was. No one got back to me. Next problem, I asked for a room half way down the hallway due to mobility problems. It was in the reservation and I confirmed this days before checking in.. But when I booked in all that was available was a room at the very back of GWL. It was so far from the main area that I could only make the walk at most twice a day. Again, when I got home I checked with the central reservation centre and the reservation stated I needed accommodation. The buffet has gone down hill, quality of the food is poor, and smaller selection. The staff seemed disinterested in their jobs and the guests. And the worst part is that if they make a mistake, no apology, no interest in fixing the problem. This visit we felt that all GWL wants is our money, and don't care about providing the service or honouring the deals they offer and we bought. read more

First time there this weekend. Water park is good, room was good, pull out couch sucked but every pull out couch does. I thought the buffet was over priced at $25 for an adult. You almost get stuck eating there bc the pizza place and cafe/deli have a total seating of 12 combined. Story time was great for the kids. They liked the arcade too but dont expect much for the tickets you win ha. Parking is ok too. My biggest complaint would be that several rules are ignored by guests,and not enforced at all. Ppl waliking throughout the hotel barefoit, shirtless, soaking wet ect. Ppl claiming tables in the water parks by putting their stuff there for hoyrs without returning or actually using the tabke (rules say 60 min max if youre not at the table.) Kids can run wild and act as bad as their jerk parents let them bc while the staff is friendly and prompt, they arent there to be parents. We will def go back but will try for days that arent busy. All we have to say is, VERY MONEY HUNGRY PLACE. My wife and our 4 sons just stay at the great wolf lodge for first time on AUG 17, 2012. We have heard so many great things via. advertising adds over the radio the TV and online. VERY OVER PRICED for what you get, when we checked in we didn't even get a welcome package of any kind them, the only thing we got was 6 bracelets for our pool pass and a coupon to save $1.00 off some hand wax place on Clifton hill, you would think that they would have given us some discounts on their own activities at the great wolf lodge and give the kids a free SOLMETHING or ANYTHING after us spending $1000.00 for two nights. EVERYTHING at the GREAT WOLF LODGE cost money and the PRICES ARE CARZY HIGH. We are not asking for hand outs but when you spend $500.00 dollars a night you would think that you would get more than a standard room and few water slides at this price. This will be our first and LAST time here. We will go to FALLSVIEW WATER PARK the next time for half the cost. read more

I just visited the great wolf lodge last weekend. July 16th & 17th 2016 and I saw a bed bug. I even took a picture and called a worker to come and look at it. I've seen bed bugs before I know what they look like. She tried to tell me it's a bug that is attracted to moisture so they come in from outside. I had read recently that they had bed bugs but I didn't believe it. We were there with another family so we couldn't leave. We were very careful and didn't put anything on their furniture. I will never be visiting them again. In the past I have visited one- three times every summer. This was my first and last visit this summer. I have no need to make up anything, I never write reviews, I'm simply writing this so others understand the risk when entering this hotel. Bed bugs are no joke, taking only one home with you can invest your whole house and you'll spend 100times more than what you spent for that hotel to get rid of bed bugs and get new furniture. By the way I spent 1000 for that weekend, wasted a grand. Which is good for such a fun place for the kids just the bed bugs are such a big no I will never visit again. read more

OK - so third year in a row we have been here. This place is tailored for kids. There is lots to do and the staff is very attentive and friendly. Our 8 year old loved it (again). Now, on to the "buffet"... Niagara Falls has a vast variety of restaurants in close proximity but for the grown-ups... go the the Antler Shanty for dinner. Shockingly good. Great variety and very flavourful! In the last 3 dinners we have enjoyed perfectly cooked flank steak with corn / poblano relish, braised beef poutine with fried onion strings and blue cheese, red skin mashed potatoes that were rich and very well seasoned,pan seared fish made to order, mussels, ground turkey sliders, smoked chicken, etc.... I could go on. The cooks are attentive and display true attention to detail . We spoke to Matt (maybe not the "executive chef" but wearing a white chef shirt and clearly in charge. It was clear he was passionate about serving quality products that both the kids and the adults would enjoy. The service was also great - attentive and knowledgeable.
