Sigh, where do I begin. I'd never tried Earl of Sandwich before. This would later prove to be against my better judgement. By the time I returned, the dining area was completely empty. I was acknowledged, but there appeared to be only one person working--making the food, running the register, and handling whatever else was going on in the back. After ordering, I went to wait for my food. That's when I really started looking around and noticed that pretty much every single table was dirty, along with the floor. Not exactly encouraging. My sandwich was made and finished just as a few more customers walked in. Instead of simply handing me the already-completed sandwich so I could leave, the employee proceeded to take everyone else's orders first. I understand needing to help incoming customers, but it takes all of five seconds to hand another customer the food that is already sitting there finished. Anyway, the sandwich itself. A long sigh. It was basically a perfect reflection of the entire experience: bare minimum and downright depressing. For what it cost, the quality was absolutely not there. The cheese looked like it came straight from a government assistance package, the ingredients were scarce, and the whole thing felt like shrinkflation somehow made its way into sandwich form. There was nothing generous, satisfying, or remotely memorable about it but because I bought it, I ate it. My stomach later disagreed with my questionable choices. Honestly, you'd be better off buying the ingredients yourself, making a sandwich at home, and calling it a day. At least then you'd probably get a clean table, a decent amount of food, and cheese that doesn't look institutional. Unfortunately, this seems to be the norm these days. Whoever is in charge of concessions at T-Mobile Arena needs to do their job, because I have never been to a place like that where everything we bought was 1 star quality. For as much money as they charge for everything, it should be much higher quality. We've tried food from Guy Fieri's sit down restaurant in Phoenix when we lived there and it was surprisingly good so we gave this place a try. The sandwich was presented well (very nice for fast food) and most importantly the chicken in the sandwich was moist and tender. It also was fried nicely. I can't say for sure but I suspect that Guy's recipe wasn't followed because his food in Phoenix was powerfully flavorful. This sandwich that I tried had very little flavors of any kind. When we called attention to the waitress she picked the ticket and said she was going to have it corrected. Promptly she returned and told has that that was the price and no correction. My son talked to the manager who was very arrogant and told my son that that was the price and he was not going to changed, he tried to explain that he didn't order the entire meal and was told that was his problem! and that we had no understood the waitress correctly.
