Not super hungry so ordered Greenburg's Pastrami Reuben samwich on rye bread. I was happy to see the employee pull out a big thing of pastrami and slicing it to order. My family and I frequent this deli because we've had so many great experiences here. This last time was not one of them. One of the things that we really appreciate is the dill pickle spear that we get with each of our sandwich orders. Having that pickle on the side really makes the order feel complete. It's like having a burger and fries or chips and a sandwich. At the deli, you expect the pickle with your sandwich. This was not the case the last time that we ordered food from here. We stopped in on Mother's Day. We ordered our sandwiches. Everything seemed fine. Our sandwich containers got pushed along the line and when they were ready, they called our name. Simple right? No. Not exactly. The cashiers were quick to take our money and we were just as quick to bring our sandwich back, upset and disgruntled. We felt gypped. None of us got pickles. We didn't know why. The hubby was upset! He went to the cashier to complain. He told them that he would like to be refunded his tip, simply for the fact that they never mentioned the fact that there were no pickles available today. He was not asking for a refund on his sandwich. He just thought that they could've pasted a bit better discretion and making sure that all of the customers there knew that there were no available for Sandwiches today. I can't even tell you how upset he was. Like I said, I know it seems like a silly thing, but it's like missing the fries to your burger or the chips to your sandwich. The whole entire sandwich felt incomplete!!! So like I said, a refund for the tip was requested. Instead, the cashier ended up refunding the entire cost of one of the sandwiches. We tried to compromise with the deli, asking that maybe we buy a side of potato salad, but instead because of the problem with the pickle being unavailable, maybe they only charge half of the regular price of that sign. We're trying to upsell ourselves. Not Conley. The cashier didn't say anything. She just had a crunching. She didn't make eye contact. She never said sorry. She just went ahead to refund the cost of no one and that wasn't. Now, granted that was still a good amount, but the whole ordeal really so simple to dissolve. We were really disappointed in the lack of enthusiasm in the cashier trust us. We were also even more upset with the fact that the deli wouldn't let people know ahead of their ordering that there were no pickles. The hubby suggested that maybe they put out a sign saying that there were no pickles available today. One of the employees said, "oh no, we can't do that!!" I have a feeling they were worrying about the pickle situation and announcing it because then people would turn away from the restaurant. But, I understand that. For some people, a pickle is serious business. I know it seems crazy but at the same time. I get it. There's plenty of ample seating in and outside of the deli. It's always fun to sit there with people watch. Sometimes the line at the deli is exceedingly long, but don't be discouraged. Unless of course they're out of pickles, the line moves pretty quickly. Hopefully the next time that we pay this deli a visit, the pickle situation will have been resolved. read more

Solid breakfast special considering it's inside a casino, where everything seems expensive. For about $12 you get a breakfast item with a coffee/tea. Time to pack up and leave back home so we decided to get a quick bite so got a Sammie from this deli. It was looking like lunch time at Cafeteria styled shop with a long line of people in it so it looked like a good sign. It was the usually pick from white, wheat, sourdough and of course sourdough was the chosen one. There wasn't much to see as staff asks if you're okay with everything on it and whether you wanted your bread toasted or not. The sandwich was nice stacked with picks in both halves. It came with a deli pickle which was more salty than pickled as I'm use to. The sandwich was great with the chipotle sauce. I would've done the pastrami but it looked a bit heavy and would probably have gotten it if it were later in the day. Just as it should be, turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato and Mayo. Excellence on sourdough! Service is a little slower here depending on what you get but it was morning and here I am eating a huge ass club. Greenberg's is definitely not a place with any ambience, but really good sandwiches, Your basic Jewish deli meats (pastrami, corned beef, turkey, etc.) you can mix and match on your choice of bread (rye, marble rye, sourdough, ciabatta, etc.). The sandwiches are not overloaded but in good proportion of bread to meat. What's beautiful is they slice your meat to order so your sandwich is fresh and succulent. When we walked by, there was a line that made us want to check it out, but we decided to wait a bit and went into the casino. When we got to it in the afternoon, there were only two people in front of us, but it took a little bit of time because they were slicing that juicy pastrami. I tried to order a combo with corned beef, but they had sold out so we had a pastrami and turkey and a pastrami sandwich. They came with a pickle that was too salty for me and lacked flavoring in the brine. We also tried matzo ball soup which made me understand why it is a remedy for whatever ails you. I'm sure somebody's mom makes a better one, but it sure warmed me up. If you have a big appetite, the portion is perfect, but for the wife and I, it was a little too much and we took the rest back to our room. It comes in a plastic box so no issue with that and it was a good late night snack. I recommend Greenberg's as an alternative choice from the more visible eateries around. read more

This popular deli is located in New York New York in the unique street scene part of the casino that has other restaurants in it. I had lunch there last week and ordered the classic turkey club sandwich for $15 with another order of chicken noodle soup for another $7. Watching them make my meal at the counter where I also ordered it was fun. The interior has seating along with seating on the "street" outside of the restaurant but still inside the casino. The sandwich had turkey, bacon, lettuce and tomato on my chosen (toasted) rye bread with a big pickle on top. This club sandwich was very good tasting with obviously fresh ingredients and was a quality product all the way around. Ditto on the pickle. I enjoyed it. The soup was also very good tasting with pasta and chicken pieces in a delectable broth. A quality product. I enjoyed this meal and recommend Greenbergs for any meal. Not bad, but not that great either. The pastrami was the best part of my sandwich as well as the French roll, but the roast beef was a little too tough and not cooked well, nor very tender. The pickle was good and at least it was part of my $18 cold sandwich. Was it something quick and easy to eat, yes...but was it worth the money, eh. I think the ladies at the counter were great at making the sandwiches, just the quality of the meat or way it was cooked could be a little better if they want to claim it being "New York" style. Delicious food for a quick bite! There was an ordering kiosk and QR code available to order ahead, but the breakfast specials were not available with these methods so we waited in line. It was a little loud inside as we ordered. I think it contributed to our order not being exactly what we ordered. The food is prepped in front of you almost immediately after placing your order. They missed one of our breakfast specials so our order took a little longer. The line otherwise moves pretty quickly. Paying was a little odd because we had to repeat our entire order to the cashier for her to charge us. The breakfast special was a steal at $9.95 (pastrami and egg bagel w/coffee). It was a little dry as we forgot to grab ketchup and hot sauce. There is no cheese or sauce on this sandwich. Overall, the contents themselves were quite yummy and filling. The New York Skyhigh was so good! We ordered this to go with sauce on the side for our flight. It travels well. They ran out of rye, but the whole wheat was a great sub. Greenberg's Deli is worthy of being called a Jewish Deli cause this kosher sandwich exceeded all expectations of a pastrami sandwich. For those who've dined at KATZ in NYC would appreciate a fine meal here. Now I'm not saying this beats KATZ but it's a damn good alternative if you're in Las Vegas. Nice thing about the dining experience is you can order your creation and watch the man carve up the meat and make it I front of you. It's a fast experience and seating does exist inside but you'll locate somewhere to consume it close by. New York New York has an amazing assortment of eateries, but I felt like I had to visit a deli. Greenberg is all about the sandwiches and they did not disappoint. I opted for the Greenberg Rueben because it had everything I like in it already. Greenberg Rueben: 8/10. I went with the Pastrami version and was not disappointed. They did not hold back on the meat and the bread was nicely toasted. Personally, I felt the sandwich was good but the pickle was a bit underwhelming. Also, I am sure some others would want either more Sauerkraut or Russian dressing. I would definitely say that Greenberg is worthy of a visit in Las Vegas. If you're up early (or stayed up until the morning), check out this deli for breakfast! On the strip and Inside New York New York is this little gem serving up deli treats to hungry people! As someone who loves pastrami and NY delis, I was so disappointed. I had a pastrami on rye with coleslaw. Encouraged, as the server was quite friendly and engaged. The sandwich, though, was disappointing. The meat was fattier than ideal (you don't want lean pastrami, but you don't want it to taste largely of fat) and the quantity was nice for a normal sandwich but would embarrass a NY deli. Staff was efficient and nice. We got our order quickly. Sat at a booth inside the deli, but there was seating outside and on the side - all inside MGM Grand Hotel. That's good since it was 102° outside. The Caesar salad was excellent. Lots of chicken, and even though I have never had small tomatoes with a Caesar before, I liked them! Husband says his corned beef was okay. He would have liked more meat and the bread could have been softer. It was dry and he didn't eat all of it. He DID eat all the meat. Prices were decent.
