God, I love Cheba Hut. I absolutely love places like this. The sandwiches here are awesome. I cannot remember what I got last time. This time I got a ham sandwich that had pineapples on it. I think I got some pepperchinnis on it and it was phenomenal. I should have got a bigger sandwich, but I didn't want to overdo it lol They do have a bar in here. I would like to come here for a bite to eat and to sit at the bar for a drink. The atmosphere feels kind of like The Record Exchange in Boise, Idaho. I don't really know how to describe it. We discovered Cheba Hut when vacationing in Denver. We loved it so much, we had to google it, and sure enough there are locations in Vegas!!! It is our favorite go-to place for sandwiches. We always do a build your own (love those options, because we are all picky), but they never disappoint! Definitely make sure to get the shake and the spices! I love the added pickle on top!!! Be patient... a good, toasted sandwich does take a bit of time, but it's well worth it. Ambiance is a little different... very artsy, but I assume this is from the Colorado roots. First time ever and i loved the atmosphere and service. I enjoyed my sub but it was very salty which could totally be my fault. As a firdt timer i didnt ask about added salt and i definitely should have requested olives on the side (personal preference). Service was amazing. We liked Cheba Hut a lot. Didn't realize they had a bar too. Hubs liked that PBR was only $4. I was happy to see a hard cider on the bar menu. The sandwiches were very good. As you can see on the photo, we finished them at the restaurant. I was planning on saving 1/2 for my dinner, but the bread was so good and toasted I couldn't stop myself from finishing the whole thing. The inside seating area/bar was fun. Every wall has some cool painted pop art graffiti style artwork on it and SpongeBob was on the TV. I forgot to take pics because I was totally enjoying my warm toasted sandwich. The person taking my order was super nice and didn't rush me through the process and also gave me some tips of things I should try. He seemed to really love his job. Cheba Hut is in a shopping area a few doors away from a pot dispensary. The interior has murals that are references to using pot. When my first two choices for dinner didn't pan out (one permanently closed, the other had no parking spaces) I came here as number 3 on my list. I didn't find it right off because from Sahara, it's sort of hiding behind a convenience mart. Eventually, I made it. You enter on the left side. That's the ordering area and kitchen. If eating in as I did, you're given a sign for your table so the server knows where to bring your sub. I ordered the Kali Mist which the menu describesd as --Roasted turkey breast, bacon, chipotle mayo, jalapeño, avocado, pepper jack, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, Shake & House dressing. The name is a reference to a kind of marijuana. You have your choice when ordering ti make it a combo. You get a drink and you have your choice of chips or one of the bakery treats. I got the drink and a "Special krispy," a treat made from forming cereal pieces with marshmallow and with chocolate chips and some other treats in the cereal. I was given a table marker and I went in the dining section. There's a bar there and the walls have some murals alluding to marijuana culture. I got my drink and waited for about 15 minutes. They were very busy. A server brought my toasted sub. It's the first time I've tried a toasted sub and I liked the crispness of the bun with the toasting. As for the Kali Mist, it was lacking in protein. One or two slices of turkey lunch meat, and I saw nor tasted any bacon in the sandwich. There was a wedge of cucumber but that was the only green other than lettuce. I also didn't find any jalapeños in the sandwich. It's listed on the menu as a spicy club. Spicy it is not! If you find it spicy, you have an eating disorder. Overall, I did enjoy the sandwich, but it was more like a non-meat sub than what the menu described. I enjoyed the vibe of the place. I had not known the theming meaning until later when I got home and read about Cheba. This is good for a second try sometime in the future but I won't hurry back. read more

I came here for the first time being a skeptic. Had very low hopes for the food and the restaurant. Did I eat my words fast! First it's a great atmosphere, the decor is great, all the staff was very friendly and my wife has a bad dairy allergy and they even came out to make sure what she could and couldn't have so she could enjoy the sandwich. That would have earned 4 stars just with that alone but then they brought out the food and was it damn good. I had the 5-0 and she had the teriyaki chicken and both were soooo good. Plenty of size, great bread, good ingredients, there was not one complaint on anything. I came hungover and this sandwhich brought me back to life. This is now going to be a typical spot for me. I'm sitting here writing the review wondering when I should go back to try the white widow. If you have any doubt, go here and you won't be disappointed. Placed an order tonight (4/20 I know lol) for 2 pacific blue, 1 Italian sub, Kali mist salad, and garlic bread. They got my order ALL wrong. They ran out of tuna, and we were asked to replace the sandwiches. Ok cool, we get the AK-47. We get our order but when we get back to home there is no au jus for AK-47, I get my kali mist salad with no chicken or bacon, no dressing, and there's no garlic bread but there's marinara sauce?? lol I know today is a busy day but I we couldn't even enjoy our meals. OK, so I really do wanna love this place so I went back and tried it again. I love the whole decor. I love their promotion. I love their cups. I love everything about this place. Now for the sandwich, I did get a veggie no cheese they did make it wrong. The first time they added cheese to it it's not a big deal but they did remake it again which I do appreciate it just took longer than normal which again I understand everything does take time. The sandwich, though I don't know what the deal is I just don't taste flavor in it I asked for extra pickles they put 3/4 in it. Maybe I should've been more specific in the notes extra extra extra pickles, but I was excited to try it it's just actually I didn't taste any flavor. It's so weird. I don't know what it is asked for extra oregano. I'm not sure if they gave you some cause. I said I didn't taste it for some reason. I did get the pretzel bites. They were OK. The Parmesan mix on top of it added a smidge of saltines the mustard did assist it. I am happy. I was able to try this twice. I guess that's the last time I'll be going back. Has me thinking that next time I'm gonna have to try the onion soup. I like the option of additional veggies, had me adding olives. I'm kinda mixed on it but I think I'm on the side of no additional chocolate chips. It just made it too sweet tasting.
