I was referred to Dixie Vets and called and they told us to come right away. When we arrived the inside was clean and smelled wonderful. They offered us water and coffee multiple times also which was very nice. All of this is extra and nothing they have to do, but still do it. That tells me a lot about them. The receptionist was excellent and you could feel that she cared. She actually got up and walked to our room. I have never had a receptionist do that. The veterinarian technician came in shortly after and she was also amazing. Once again you could feel that she cared about our cat. I actually thought she was the veterinarian. She was really nice and comforting. The veterinarian came in after and (I know I keep repeating myself, but this is a good thing) She was amazing. She was very gentle and compassionate with our cat. She was upfront with the cost and gave us a couple choices. I can normally read people very well and it is easy to see if someone is genuine or not. They were all truly genuine. It is doctors like her and people like the receptionist and vet tech that can help or hurt the reviews and if you are coming back or not. The old vet is about 8 minutes away and Dixie is about 30 minutes away. We will be coming back to Dixie without a second thought. I recommend anyone looking for help to go to Dixie Veterinary Hospital.

I gave them a call and they said to bring her in right away. We got there and there were a few other emergencies they were dealing woth. I waited about a half hour and that was ok because Lola was in no major pain at that time. She was bleeding, but when your nail is ripped off, what do you expect? My one complaint was that they seemed almost too lax that Lola was getting blood all over. I was told not to worry that they would clean it up. We went back to the room, then vet came in right away and took and look, then shared the plan. They took her in back and 10 minutes later she came out woth her paw all cleaned and wrapped. I felt very happy with how clear the vet was in regards to the treatment and her care she was receiving. I could hear the staff in the back talking to her and comforting her as they gave care. They didn't try to get me to run extra tests or provide extra services so when it was time to checkout, the cost was half the price of the last time this happened and we took her to a different ER vet. It was such a relief as these times are tough. I was very happy with this place and will likely Make it our regular vet! Thank you!

If you are looking for a vet who will show compassion not only throughout your pet's life but also…read moreduring one of the hardest days you'll ever face, I encourage you to carefully consider your options. Based on our experience, I would recommend considering VCA BRIGHTON ANIMAL HOSPITAL before here. This review is not simply about the heartbreaking loss of our dog. It is about how this vet treated our family during one of the most difficult moments we have ever experienced. Our dog was a patient here for years. We adopted him as a senior dog, knowing his medical needs would likely increase with age. Throughout that time, we invested thousands of dollars to ensure he had the best quality of life possible, only because we understood that was the only option. During the final months of his life, we were at this clinic monthly, if not more often. Everyone knew our dog. As his condition declined, getting him into a vehicle became extremely difficult. We made the painful decision to provide him with a peaceful, in-home euthanasia through a hospice service. We elected to have his cremated remains delivered to Towne & Country for pickup because the hospice provider routinely works with this clinic. When we called Towne & Country to ask if his ashes had arrived, we were told they had not and that we would be contacted when they did. After following up directly with the crematory, we were shocked to learn that Towne & Country had REJECTED delivery. The crematory informed us that when they contacted the clinic to clarify, they were given a "hard no." Unable to understand why this would happen, I drove to the vet in person. I was told that because our dog had not been euthanized by Towne & Country, they would not accept delivery of his ashes, even though he had been an established patient there for years and had received extensive treatment from this practice throughout the final chapter of his life. At a time when compassion should matter most, this response was devastating. We were already grieving the loss of our beloved dog, and instead of being met with empathy, we were left scrambling to figure out how we were going to bring him home one last time. To make matters worse, while I was visibly upset trying to understand the situation, a member of the front desk staff laughed at my reaction. This experience also reflected a broader pattern that we experienced during our dog's care there. When we sought a second opinion, Towne & Country was unwilling to send his medical records to another veterinary practice. Every pet owner deserves the ability to seek another professional opinion without added obstacles. I understand that every veterinary practice has policies. However, policies should never come at the expense of compassion, communication, or basic empathy, especially for long-standing clients experiencing profound loss. A simple conversation or willingness to help us navigate the situation would have made all the difference. This experience permanently changed how I view this practice. Losing a pet is painful enough. No family should have to endure additional heartbreak simply trying to bring their beloved companion home one last time. I rarely write negative reviews because I know every business can have an off day. Unfortunately, this was not a minor inconvenience, it was one of the most important moments of our lives, and Towne & Country failed us when compassion mattered most. VCA Brighton Animal Hospital was amazing. We wish we would've had his ashes brought there.

I just Googled around and found that this clinic was also near my home. I first took in my dog. She was adopted from the shelter and had recently turned one. I took her in for an exam and she needed no vaccines. However, her coat was falling out and it concerned me. I was given some fish oil which greatly helped her coat. I then decided to go ahead and transfer my kitties to this clinic. I brought in Safiyyah and it was a great appointment. All my concerns were addressed. The doctor was very kind and interested in my cat's health. She also recommended a great cat food. Everyone is friendly. I enjoy the atmosphere, even though they are currently renovating. Even other clients are friendly.

Then they let him go to a nerve…read moredisorder which was a shame because he was excellent and could have verbally trained some new staff. He was a WONDERFUL VET. Then I started noticing little things that irritated me yet they called me a difficult client. They had treated my two cats. One had diabetes and other issues. This one girl never got along with me from the get go. She had an attituede and apologized for it a couple times, but yet still marked me as a difficult client. Well it is supposed to be an animal hospital...I ask you does an Animal HOSPITAL, have a right to call it's business this when they won't treat pets after business hours even though they have the appropriate equipment to treat them. I had a problem ONE TIME when they decided to treat my fur baby on a SATURDAY. The TECH they sent in to meet me was exadtly that a TECH, not a vet, yet they decided she would be good enough. WRONG....and the charges were astronomical!!! Then one time that I was leaving there I saw the receptionist give this woman the remains of her deceased dog, and just say "HAVE A NICE DAY"..... She was crying. I followed her out to her truck and asked her if she was ok, then she really started crying, and told her it was ok and asked her dog's name. Then I sat there and listened to her tell me stories about him. The poor lady. They should have had someone walk the lady out and listened to her for a few minutes. I couldn't believe it. FINALLY WHAT IT CAME DOWN TO WAS: My KITTY was sick and it looked like she was throwing up blood, i called the clinic and the lady said if you bring her right in the vet can see her, and I told her it would be a few minutes, because i knew it would be hard to get her into her carrier because if she is sick she hides. The girl said as long as your here before noon...and "Oh yes, you will be charged for the visit as an emergency. I got to the clinic and called them and told them I was there, and then they told me I coudn't get in to see her now because we had already made an appt. for MONDAY. I said yes we did as a f/u to today. And you told me that I could get in if i got here before noon. She kept insisting that I could not get her seen. After all the money I spent there. Each visit no matter what it was always costs almost 200.00 and they don't even give out complimentary nail cutting. Dr. Howe used to do that. I mean this business spent millions revampin g the place then raised their rates. I had beeen a client for over 10 years and probabvly put millions into it. And to have this business treat me like my kitty and I didn't matter was just horrible. It makes me wonder if i SHOULD TRUST ANY BUSINESS THAT CATERS TO FUR BABIES IN A NICE ENVIRONMENT. THEY GO THRU STAFF LIKE THEY ARE " disposable goods." THE WHOLE PLACE IS A SCAM FOR MONEY NOW. I had the utmost respect for it when DR. BOUVERETTE they were the initial owners. I can't believe they still own it. Then the vet has the audacity to tell me my kitty is overweight AND IF YOU KNEW HER SHE IS DEFINITELY A HYPOCRITE!!! And her husband worked there. Matter of fact I became a client back when they were first opening and the office looked poorish and they had a space heater. Dr. Bouverette came into meet my kitty and got down on the floor with it, and was petting it and talking so nice then they started upgrading and there were no good vets that would spend five minutes with you and discuss your furbaby. they did a sanitary shave on my baby cuz she has a birth defect and cut her and then tried to downplay it. meanwhile she got an infection. I wouldn't recommend this place if my life depended on it. I wish Dr. Bouverette still was a vet there and SAW WHAT WAS GOING ON THERE. LORI FOROOZANDEH 2015-2025

They charged him $800 just for an X-ray and fluids. Told him the cat needed surgery it was going to cost no more then $7,000 and no less then $4,500. Wouldn't work with him. So he had to leave with the cat. My son lives in Midland and went there because it was the only place he found that was open because of the holiday weekend. I have also had to take a few of my pets here and they are WAY overpriced. My dog threw a small bone up hole, which then caused her to vasovagal. We didn't know that's what was wrong with her, but I had already read reviews that they like to blame animals getting a hold of marijuana as reason for the pet to be sick. When we got there, which was around 4 PM. They took her in the back said they were gonna do some labs and an x-ray and then around 10 PM. Finally called us back. The first thing he asked is do you have marijuana in your house. I said no and he says well what we think happened is that she had vasovagal episode when she threw up. So $600 for them to keep her in a cage for hours to tell us that she vasovagaled and was fine.
