The food is overall ok. I wouldn't say excellent but pretty good. I went here on my lunch break and. The service was pretty fast. I ordered the lunch chicken and mixed veggies..... The veggies were good but the rice was over fried. My soup (wonton) was bland and over cooked....lastly the egg roll was over cooked and tooooooo greasy....I would come here again on in a pinch.....hope this helps read more

I ordered the sesame chicken (that's my measure of how well the Chinese food place is) and it was SOOOO overcooked and hard, we ended up throwing more then half of it away. The bobo platter was barely edible but also, over fried and over done. Will not be returning. read more

I'll agree with another post; they do serve the best Chinese food in Brighton. That's not saying much. When I called in I had to repeat myself several times. It wasn't language barrier that was the problem. The young girl answering the phone sits right next to the fryer and blower. I was told to arrive in 15 minutes. I arrive in approx 20 minutes and my order wasn't ready. The young lady asks for my number and then starts rummaging through a bag waiting in the kitchen. Five more minutes later they hand me a bag and thank me for my order. I get half way to my car before one of the cooks comes running out after me telling me that they gave me the wrong order. Another 15 minute wait and I finally have my correct order. The food was good but customer service could use some work. read more

Once upon a time Great Wall was a great place for take out. The last time I ordered not so much and tonight was terrible. The Shrimp Lo Mein was very starchy and the meat on the bone-in ribs was brittle. In the past when I ordered the ribs they were meaty and very tender. Tonight if I had eaten the meat I probably would of torn holes in my throat that is.brittle the meat was. Possibly they cook a batch of ribs and than just put them in the microwave to heat as the orders for ribs come in. Maybe they have a new cook who ready doesn't give a damn how the food is prepared. Delicious Chinese, and I've tasted just about all the Chinese places in Brighton. Very good Kung Pao chicken, though I wouldn't mind it a bit spicier. Yeah, the crab cheese wontons are definitely yummy. Very good chow mein too. This is really a take-out place. The tiny dining room is more for waiting for your food than eat-in. Can almost always expect your food to be ready in 15 min. Can be a bit pricey when feeding the whole family, but they have coupons available in just about every Brighton publication. Not good food. The chicken is over cooked. It was chewy and hard.... They gave back the wrong change and I had to do the math for them and let them know how much I was supposed to get back. I wish I drove just a little bit longer to Panda Express! =( read more

These guys suck... Called in an order tonight and was told 40 minutes. Its been 2 hours and still not here...we live 10 minutes away. All they offered us was $3.00 off a $50.00 order. Kept calling and they kept saying 10 minutes. What a joke, will never waste my money there again and I'm a frequent customer. Ended up getting the boss on the phone and he thought it was funny....ya will probably be going down there tomorrow.(came just after 2 hours)....gave me $5.00 for my troubles....this was my son's birthday dinner....needless to say ruined. read more

I'm house sitting in Brighton for a month, and as such I was totally clueless about food in the area. I was craving some Chinese food and stumbled across this place. I ordered the Sesame Chicken and it was delicious. I was amazed how crispy it was. I got the combo and it came with two delicious crispy crab cheese wontons and fried rice. Ordered two entrées plus soup and the quality was below standard. All the meat was over cooked, tasting like the cooking oil was spoiled and chewy. The hot and sour soup was broth with little vegetables and even less meat. To add insult to injury when we called in to complain there only solution was to say "sorry" an "happy holidays" followed by hanging up. They've lost our business, I will not be recommending their establishment to others and hopefully our experience helps you make your decision when deciding whether or not to order from the great wall. read more

Definitely recommend for pickup ordering. Their hot and sour soup is unique and flavorful! Chicken is great as well.

I order take out once a month from Great Wall. It's always consistent and always good. I keep going back to the general tsaos chicken because they do it better than anywhere else I've had it. I've ordered large takeout orders when I've had movie nights, and they've always had great consistency, no matter how large the order. Everything I had had from them has been stellar. read more

reasonably priced, nicely prepared food, fresh vegetables, no msg, very tasty . would give this place 4 or 5 stars for takeout. they have 4 crummy tables for dining, and no real waiter service. you order the food at the counter and they bring it to your table. they seemed not used to people dining in. have to get your own drinks, etc. very nice people who aim to please. we should have gotten takeout and eaten in a nearby park. read more

This tiny family owned Chinese restaurant is as good as it gets for an american/chinese cuisine, being used to the european style Chinese and indonesian food I was surprised to (through our daughter mrs. Tari) how good the food is. And very cheap as well. read more

Excellent food. Not really a sit down place but the food is so good. Great sesame chicken and fried pot stickers. Wonderful hot and sour soup too. Delivery is fairly good time. Usually about 45 minutes but picking up is so much faster! Veg lo mein is also highly tasty. Yum. read more
