They are the best people on the inside, and I know how they care for their Clients and especially Dogs (most important!- I know Natalie's opinion on caring for the animals, and even offering an 'open door policy' during the grooming). I've been procrastinating getting my dogs nails clipped since they both HATE having their paws touched. I finally had a day off today and called last minute to see if they had time for two nail trims and they got me in an hour later without a problem! Let me begin by saying I have been taking my dog to Greco's for 12 years, with the latest groomer being Kim. Kim has been wonderful with my dog, very patient and kind. He is a 12 year old Havapoo and very excitable but a lovable dog. Today I was 10 minutes late picking him up due to a medical reason. I have always been prompt picking him up. When I arrived, I was ushered into the back room to find my 12year old, 15 pound dog chained (very heavy and thick) to a pole. The owner, Natalie, berated me for being ten minutes late, accusing me of always being late (not the case) and that my dog agitates the other dogs by barking. Dogs bark. I will never return to this grooming facility after being berated like a disobedient child. I felt it was cruel to chain my dog to a pole also. Zero stars for the owner. If she can't take barking and treat animals kindly, get out of the business. Very rude and unprofessional. read more

Out of all the 54+ lifelong years of having a pet and taking them to the grooming salon, this one is the best!!! They care so much about the dogs and are so personable and kind. We have been taking our dogs there for 3 years now and they go every 6 weeks. They dogs are excited to see them when they get there and come back so happy!!! I rarely write these reviews but just had to today. They came back with their Halloween look and were adorable. There is one groomer I would recommend here and the rest have been terrible- razor burns, cuts in genital areas, etc. Unfortunately even the one groomer I'd usually have reviewed favorable has now proven to be unprofessional. She'll tell you her life story, and every visit will magically have something worse. While I feel for her, it's more than I can handle from a groomer.....this place needs to handle customers more professionally. read more

Very disappointed this second grooming. My dog had surgery last November and had no right hip bone . I told the first groomer and that he is timid, sensitive to that area. First grooming was good after two adjustments . Yesterday, my dog limped out of the salon and continues to keep his right rear leg in the air. I have left several phone messages and sent a pm to Greco. No response yet. I told them to rip up my check. I rather have a phone call to pick up my dog if they can't handle 10.5lb grooming than have him hurt by the groomer. He is still limping !!!!! Greco hurt my little guy and he's in pain read more

I use Greco's about 4 times a year - and have been going to them for about two years now. I have always had a good experience going there. They do a great job on the dog and they are good at keeping to their schedule. Last groomer I had was Natalie. My dog was blowing out her coat and she got every last dead hair out. We've taken our dogs here for years, and they've always done a great job. The owner is kind and thoughtful and you can tell she really cares about animals. The staff are experienced and knowledgeable, and take the time to make sure they know what you want. When we first started going there we were taking a very senior Newfoundland, and Laura went out of her way to take care of her special needs. We currently take three dogs there of various ages, breeds, and sizes, and they do a great job with all three. I would highly recommend them, as I trust them with our fur babies. read more

My pooch had a great experience at Greco's - came home looking beautiful and was at ease (which is surprising, given her nature) Greco's has very reasonable prices and takes the time before the after the groom to chat with the dog owners. I have been taking our rat terrier to Greco's for about 2 solid years now and have gotten nothing but patience and great service from all of the staff. They have always been flexible with getting me in for nail clipping or the rare other services we've needed. Natalie (owner) has been exceptionally patient and the other staff likewise. I've been reading a fair amount of negative reviews about this business lately, but I cannot see why. Perhaps one could gripe about the shop's overall appearance, but the low pricing for services is the trade-off to that I suppose. read more

I have had two long-haired dogs groomed at Greco's over the years. I tried other groomers for both dogs, and the results were terrible even when the other groomer came recommended by friends. Greco's has always done an impeccable job on my dogs. They come out looking smooth and beautiful, and the groomers know how to take out the undercoat so the dogs are cooler in the summer. And to cap it off, Greco's is competitive in price to their lousy competitors! Not only do they groom well, but they also take the time to get to know your dog and find out your expectations. The last time I took Bailey in, the groomer must have spent 10 minutes with me talking about her anxiety and how to handle her. You can tell that they love the animals and take a lot of pride in their work. read more

JUST AWFUL! We just moved to the area from the city where they know how to groom dogs. I have a beautiful purebred miniature schnauzer and brought him in for grooming and told them to give him a standard schnauzer cut and specifically told the groomer to keep his beard. I come back and they have absolutely butchered him -they unevenly hacked his beard, completely cut off his eyebrows (complete with bald spots!!) and all of his withers. It is clear that the groomers have no idea what a schnauzer cut is. When I called to advise that I was unhappy with the grooming session, the gentleman did not offer any fix and was unapologetic and rude. They obviously have ZERO interest in customer service or professional reputation. They also have no parking and rush the dogs in and out in an hour & a half- that should have been the first warning that they are rushing cuts. They also say they cannot let the dogs out to the bathroom (huh??). I've never experienced this in 8 years of groomers. Very unprofessional- avoid this place! Wish I could give zero stars...this place is a hack shop. read more

I wouldn't bring my furry friend anywhere else but to Greco's. Natalie isn't a groomer to us, she is now a family friend. My dog, Penny, pulls on her leash just so she can get to Natalie faster. Penny comes home to us so sweet smelling and cute every time, with little bows as finishing touches. The staff pays very careful attention to all their clients, are professional but yet kind and compassionate. We are so grateful that Natalie is in our lives! read more

The staff is very nice and are attentive to my pup and seem to be to every dog customer. Agnes is wonderful, takes her time and makes sure he looks great and isn't anxious. The next day on his walk he will pull to try to go back in to visit. Now THAT'S a great outcome! Beautifully groomed with no anxiety! They let me know how long it should take and call 10 minutes before they are done, so no having to guess when to return to pick up my hairy baby. We love the fact that they do not cage dry and have a variety of shampoo/conditioning products for any sensitivities. We highly recommend Greco's! Two paws up! read more

My Morkie London always looks beautiful and smells so good after each visit, main reason I love this place is because London seems happy there, she's not scared to go, we had a horrible experience somewhere else and we would have to drag her in until it finally hit me something was wrong, they always cut her hair perfect, I don't even need to tell them what i want because they already know, I have stage 4 Cancer so I really can't take her as much as I would like, so by the time I take her she's a mess but when they are done she fabulous. Greco's is a great salon, they are caring and take their time which I love. They even tell me if they see something is not right so I can take her to the vet asap. UGH! I took my under one year old puppy there four times, and the grooming got worse each time I went. At the third visit, I SPECIFICALLY told Hugo not to cut all of the hair off my maltipoo's muzzle. I wanted a beard, and even gave him a photo. When I came back, my little guy's entire muzzle was shaved!!!!! I complained and received an offer of 25% off the next grooming. I let my little fellow go for 8 weeks without a groom so that his muzzle had some hair on it to return it to it's original shape. When I cam back to pick him up, the groomer complained bitterly about how knotty his hair was, and he was nearly shaved down to bare skin. I brush my dog daily, so I couldn't understand what she was griping about. His muzzle, however was fine. When I got home and my dog sat in my lap, I noticed he had about a half inch cut near on his sanitary area. No one informed me that my dog had been cut. He's very docile and timid, and extremely well-behaved when being groomed. I was livid. Needless to say, that was my last visit to Greco's. I now take my dog to The Grooming Spa in Arlington Heights. It's a longer drive for me, but well worth it to have my pet receive expert and humane care. The groomers are caring and very skilled. In addition, the shop is extremely well-kept. Give them a try and avoid Greco's. read more
