Absolutely ruined our dog. We called ahead of the appointment to explain what was going on with our sheepadoodle. We prefer to keep his coat long, however, with snow he had a few mats. All the other groomers we have brought him to they have attempted to comb them out they cut around them. They didn't even try, they just completely shaved him down except left his bushy tail. Not to mention there were spots underneath they left giant tuffs of hair. The shaving is not even. It honestly looks like it was first time shaving a dog. Been going for YEARS MULTIPLE DOGS will tell you they have on ALL screwed up on the nail trims (my bad I blamed on my babies) no this LAST & FINAL TIME charged me 125.00 on OCT 27, ,2023 Just got back from our farm she was pretty DIRTY from RUNNING & Playing with HORSES however upon dropping her off & WALKING her to the cubicle for her turn to be groomed NO PROBLEM However upon my return to pick her up she was laying on floor moaning and KATHYS only RESPONSE WAS 'I THink she had hip dysplasia!" So now KATHY @ CLASSY CRITTERS is a VETERINARIAN she proceeded to charge me ,125.00 offered no assistance in taking her out I had to litterly drag her out cause she couldnt grasp due to nails were not trimmed due to TIME I waited till next morning to take to to VETERINARIAN WHO was astonished that 1st of all she was at GROOMER (she was filthy) 2nd that the GROOMER DIAGNOSED her condition, treated wounds on her paws and legs AWFUL JUST AWFUL, IN the end MINNIE had to have med for pain and wounds treated. I went back to CLASSY CRITTERS to let her know to go back to VETERINARY SCHOOL since the problem was NEGLIGENCE ON HER PART. I said her you know we have coming here for YEARS with condition MINNIE was yesterday YOU NEVER CALLED ONCE to check on her, I told you should be ASHAMED IF YOURSELF, I STILL WAITING ON MEDICINE & MEDICAL BILLS oh and the vet did say THE DOG REALLY AT A GROOMER she's really dirty" KATHYS only response EXCUSE WAS "OH this construction going on in the front" Again I told her you should be ASHAMED She did ask me not to say anything since WOULD RUIN HER, however at this time I am still waiting for REIMBURSEMENT so here the review. New to the area and searching for the right place to take my dog. I called about a nail trim and was told walk-ins welcome. Great! Upon arrival I took my dog back to the table and was instructed to hold his head while one other lady held his body and the younger girl cut his nails. He squirmed quite a bit which I knew he would. Most dogs don't like their nails cut. She ended up cutting them too short and one of them bled all over and it was very upsetting to watch. The only response I got was blaming him for moving around too much. After getting home, I can tell that a few of them are bothering him as they look a little jagged and short. Maybe the nail clippers weren't sharp enough. Disappointed and sad my dog is in pain. read more

Hate to be the sour one of the group, but took my dog there for the first time recently. Since everyone else was booked. Everything seemed ok and left him there for his cut. When he came back, he had razor/trimmer cuts all over him. Under the front legs, over the ears. I almost thought I should take him to the vet for all the cuts. Called the business, but no answer. Our fuzzy buddy needed a haircut so we tried a new place. Best price in a long while, and the pup came back looking fuzzy as EVER! He is the softest he's been in his life probably and has all his whiskers! They did an especially great job on his paws (he gets hairy toes). I think they specialize in Golden Retrievers. Updating my review from a few years ago. We now have two huskies that Kathy and her crew do a great job on. They don't even seem to mind the husky "talking" with the other dogs in the shop. Had a very horrible first experience. I called the day before asking about an appointment for nail trimming, they said they accepted walk ins but proceeded to hang up on me. I gave them a second chance and assumed they were busy. I went in the next day with my six month old puppy and as soon as I walked in, I received dirty looks from an older women who was shaking her head at me. Right away, I felt very uncomfortable. A younger women took me right away to the back and asked me to lift my dog up on a table. I understood this process because my dog is obviously comfortable with me. My puppy (being scared) peed on the table. The lady cutting her nails told me not to worry about it and was very nice about it. She was very quick and I was right next to my dog to calm her down (which I really liked). When she was done cutting her nails, she took her off the collar and just let my dog JUMP off the table. The table was about 4 feet high off the ground. I was not impressed with the way they handled my dog and was not impressed with the service. I will definitely not be taking my dog back here. She was traumatized and they did not make her feel comfortable. For a puppy, a first experience is EVERYTHING. If you are looking for a new place to bring your dog, this is not the place. read more

I have been going to Classy Critters for over 20 years. The staff at Classy Critters are very friendly and loves my small Chihuahua Riley. I love the bandanas they put on him, they were adorable and a great touch! Their prices are super reasonable and they always have time for us, even when I call for the same day grooming. I really like the owner Kathy and the staff are so wonderful with the dogs! They also do an exceptional job on the paws, they take extra time on the pads and nail for a perfect groom look. I highly recommend the services at Classy Critters and the dogs will not be disappointed. They also have redecorated and it looks so clean and welcoming! There are no cages, the dogs are put in stalls, which is less stressful, and the dogs can see what is going on. I would never take my dog anywhere else! Love this place!! read more

One of my Wheaten Terriers had a negative experience at another groomer and was getting physically ill every time we tried to take him for grooming. The staff at Classy Critters took on the challenge and handled him beautifully. They figured out what was causing his anxiety, babied him a little and things were perfect. We've had dogs for over twenty years and CC is the best groomer we've ever had! They do an amazing job with our dogs and most importantly, they treat the dogs like their own!
