The food is great... the portions are great.. both get 4 stars easy. That service, though. My trio come in every two weeks or so for dinner and yogurt next door. The woman we always see behind the counter is generally a little chilly, but never unprofessional or impolite... which is completely acceptable in a business where they stay busy, and food comes quick and delicious. So far, 4.5 stars. The two stars come from our visit last night, which was facilitated by a different woman at the counter. The restaurant participates in an app that tracks purchases across multiple retailers and provides rewards. After 10 entree purchases, we used a reward that claimed to offer 1 free entree after 10 entree purchases. That's it. No fine print anywhere. We call a pickup order for a Lamb Kabob plate (an entree, $12.99) and 2 small salads ($4.99, each), and when I arrive, I request to add a piece of baklava ($2.99) to the order, and I thought I saw the baklava go into the bag.. I am given the total of $28 and change after tax. I show her the reward app, and wait to hear a revised total of $14.27 due to the lamb entree being free. She tells me "New total is $23." When I ask about the math, she tells me "there's a weird rule where we have to take the cheapest thing off, you know what I mean?" No, I do not know what you mean. The reward states entree, and I don't think I am out of line to think that entree refers to a plate with a few items on it, like the lamb kebob plate, and not a small salad. In the event that I was in the wrong, when she told me their rules, I let her know that I wanted to 'unredeem' the reward points that had been used (I still planned on paying for the food we ordered, I just didnt think the reward was worth it). She started pressing buttons, and then said it would just be easier to give me the lamb plate, at which point I politely said thank you, and got the new total of $14, which I paid, as well as adding in tip. She turns around, has a conversation I'm not part of of, and starts shuffling things in and out of my bag. I get handed the bag, and in the middle of my "thank you", she turns away and moves on to the next customer. I get home, and we enjoy almost all of the food. I bet that the baklava would have tasted pretty good, if she didn't take it out of the bag before handing my the order. I don't know that it was on purpose, and I do know that I should have confirmed everything before leaving, but I think we'll be driving further into Bellevue to find kebab without the unpleasantness. read more

My whole family loves the Greek Express in the Factoria Mall, but this spot is much easier to access. The food is still delicious - seriously, I've never had such yummy chicken. The sitting area is clean but slightly off. Too many tables, maybe? Too cold? I can't quite figure what is wrong. Anyhow, check to make sure you won't bonk your head on a random decorative column. The staff here look a little demoralized, but are always very polite. The cook staff are first rate and sure know what they are doing. Our favorite meal is the chicken plate, with grilled veggies instead of hummus. I order a side of med babaganoush, extra pitas, and extra tzatziki sauce for my preschooler. I came to this restaurant after being recommended to do so by my friends. Until I had gone to this restaurant, I had never tried Greek/Mediterranean cuisine. However, this restaurant led me to enjoy a new cuisine that I never thought I would. I took the chicken shawarma (mostly because of that post-credit scene from The Avengers), as I had no real idea what any of the dishes were. The shawarma was absolutely amazing. Most of the people I had come with to the restaurant had ordered the chicken gyro, which was also quite tasty. Basically, I found the food quite good. The reason I took a star off was because of the service. One of my friends had ordered the chicken platter, but somehow the order was messed up and she got something with beef in it (being Hindu, she didn't eat beef). When she aired they gave her another platter with the same sides, which still had some beef in it. She was do disgusted that she could barely eat the third dish they gave her. Everyone makes mistakes, but mistakes should be taken care of, and not allowed to be repeated. Because of her experience, my friend's idea of this restaurant was ruined (while everyone else generally enjoyed it). Ultimately, I enjoyed the restaurant. The food war on point. The environment was generally nice. The service can be worked at to become more universally acceptable. Overall, this restaurant had definitely left a nice experience, and I definitely look forward to returning some time soon. read more

Wasn't sure if I wanted to eat here at first as I thought it looked like a fast food place from outside. The price was great for the amount of food I got. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable on the food. You order at the counter and you get your own drinks and silverware. This place is right next to Kukai so it's a lunch alternative if you can't get into Kukai or if it's closed in the afternoon. The food is very average though. It's a fast food type place and nothing stood out in the couple of times I've tried them. I prefer Garlic Crush or Mediterranean Kitchen over this place. The meat was not very well seasoned in my sandwich and the sauces were just ok. They stuffed my pita sandwich with too much lettuce. If I wasn't starving the last time I ate here I would have not got past the first 2-3 bites. It's not bad, it's just not very good. read more

There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of Greek restaurants around the area, so this chain is pretty much all we have. There's another franchise in Factoria, and the two are pretty consistent! The fries are always crispy and well seasoned, and the gyros are packed so fully and the meat is so flavorful!! I've also gotten their salads that come with some of the plates and they're really fresh! Overall, as chains go, this one is really consistent and will be enough to satisfy Greek cravings. read more

Had the shredded lamb gyro. They weren't very busy, so it only took about five minutes to get it. When it came out it was very hot with tons of meat. Meat was very tender and not overly juicy, so it was really good. Had to ask for extra tzatziki sauce and would have liked a bit more lettuce and tomatoes. Overall very good. Would come here again. By the time I finished my lunch and left though, I could see what other reviewers have said about being cramped and confusing about whether people are in line or waiting for their order to be ready when they are busy. I was hungry and was looking for a good place to eat at Kelsey Creek Bellevue near Walmart. I came across some choices which includes Japanese Ramen, Buffalo Wings and Greek Express. I chose Greek Express since the food looks healthier and attractively delicious. I ordered the chicken gyros with fresh meaty fries and was very glad that I did. It was very delicious and satisfying. The portion was generous and the price was very reasonable. I have been back several times already and have try their different dishes, and I must say I was not disappointed. I usually get the gyro here and the food here is decent. The pita is soft and the meat was seasoned well and was plentiful, normally comes in lamb, beef or chicken. It also comes with tzatziki sauce which I usually get on the side because sometimes it is a little overwhelming.I'm a little disappointed that it doesn't have the hot sauce like other greek restaurants, it gives Sriracha, which is asian hot sauce. Parking is plentiful and service depends on when you come here. During lunch time, maybe not so fast, but most of the time it is good. Not a lot of seating inside but has a few tables. Love having Greek Express so close to us! My husband and I order take-out from here about once a week. I'm not a gyro connoisseur by any means (I'll only get chicken gyro) but think this is one of the best gyro joints in Bellevue. Their portions are generous, especially if you order a plate. The chicken plate comes with deliciously seasoned chicken, a side of rice, pita, tzatziki sauce, hummus, and a side salad - so. much. food! If I'm not stupid hungry, though, I'll usually order a kid's chicken gyro and share a side of fries with my husband - it's the perfect amount! The only reason why I'm not giving them 5 stars is because 2 out of 3 times, they'll forget to include our side of tzatziki sauce (they charge for a little ramekin of the deliciousness). I've been eating at this restaurant for several years now. It's no doubt my favorite place to get a gyro on the east side. I'll go out of my way to get a bite here. They make their own Tzatziki which is the best. I love that they have sriracha to squirt on your food. The gyro meat is delicious. It has a hint of black pepper I believe. Gives it a little spice. And they usually prepare on a grill to give it a little crisp to it. Still moist. Their prices are competitive too. I feel you get a good value for your money. They have at least three locations. Factoria, Bellevue and Redmond. It's always fresh! Why get a greasy burger and feel bloated afterwards when you can eat healthy Mediterranean food at good value? read more

Best Greek express style restaurant I've been to. Ever since I tried it I have come back at least once a week. I have tried the gyro salad, traditional gyro and lamb. The gyro meat is melt in your mouth tender and delicious. The tzatziki sauce is made in house and excellent. You can also buy the sauce in a larger container if you are as obsessed with it as I am.
