    Beef Shawarma Wrap
    Edenielle A.

Food: I ordered the beef wrap I didn't think it was going to be huge but when I got the order it was big. I think the wrap could have used more sauce but lucky enough they gave me hot sauce with it. Service: the service was quick and easy Ambiance: casual restaurant

Classic mediterranean/gyro spot!! We had tried going to the Korean BBQ spot nearby but they wouldn't sit us so we had to find a last minute alternate and Sahara was right by! It's fast casual which is great and the staff was super nice to us. We got some greek fries to share and then I got a lamb wrap. The greek fries were delicious and had tons of toppings. Big hit for everyone at our table! The lamb wrap was good and flavorful and I loved the toasted tortilla. Overall a delicious meal and priced well!

Best prices given the quality and portion sizes, even the kids menu. Outstanding service. Need to call ahead or come in earlier on the weekends for the Mansaf. Don't let the strip mall location and proximity to Whole Foods fool you - this place is the real deal.

    Mixed Grill Plate ($24.99)

Wow! Sahara has been in Redmond for at least several years now, and I can't believe I've just tried it for the first time. It is a gem! The restaurant is primarily a quick eats spot as most people opt for takeout, but there are also a few tables inside for dining in. Two of us each put in our order for the MIXED GRILL PLATE ($24.99) which includes chicken, lamb and a kofta (ground beef) kabab as the main items. It also came with salad, rice, pita, hummus and two cups of their sauces. Keep in mind that this dish will take some time to prepare since all the meats are grilled fresh. We could see straight into the kitchen where the cooks literally skewered the raw meats and kept rotating them over the grill. That said, your patience will certainly pay off! All of the meats were delicious and lean. The white meat chicken was still juicy and liberally seasoned with warm spices. I also enjoyed the kofta kabab which was flavored with parsley and onion, among other seasonings. The lamb was pretty tender as well and not too gamey. For added oomph, try each meat with both of the sauces. The thicker white sauce tasted like a combination of yogurt, garlic, various spices and had a little acidity... it was SO good! The tahini sauce had a nutty flavor, as expected, and was surprisingly slightly bitter. I didn't love this one as much, but that just comes down to personal preference. As for the sides, the hummus tasted so natural and fresh, pairing nicely with the toasted pita bread. The side salad was tossed in a light vinaigrette and included crisp greens, red onion, tomato and cucumber. This meal was super filling and I had a small serving leftover for lunch the next day. While the $25 cost is a bit steep for one plate, I considered it to be worth the value for the amount and quality of food I received.

There's not much to review about the vibe of the place, usually if you go for gyros you go for the food not the atmosphere. The food was delicious, their gyro plate and gyro sandwich was well seasoned. One bummer is that they don't have a pure lamb option, only mixed with beef. The Greek fries are wavy fries which I'm not a fan of, I like the OG Greek fries that are straight and crunchy with garlic (yum yum). But overall it was a good place and I'd go again, it wasn't my favorite but it's definitely better than some of the others out there.

    Lamb Shawarma Wrap ($12.99)

4.5 Stars Casual Mediterranean spot located in a plaza. I got the Lamb Shawarma Wrap ($12.99) - the portions were awesome (it could have basically been two wraps) and it was stuffed full of protein. It also had peppers and tomatoes and such in it. Super tasty. The white and hot sauces we asked for on the side were the cherry on top. Cons: my friend noted it was very greasy and wasn't a very "authentic" shawarma wrap (too minced). I loved it though. Order at the counter and sit down.

This place is incredible, highly recommend you go! The Baba Ganoush is garlicky, give it a good mix and spread it generously on the warm pita bread they give you. Really good portion size! The Lamb Shawarma Wrap is soo delicious, I couldn't stop smiling while eating it, in which the owner saw me. The size is big enough that I had leftover the next day, and yes, it made me smile again when I ate it. I love fast food Mediterranean places like this that are SO Delicious yet causal.

Was craving Mediterranean last night and wanted to switch it up (I frequent Garlic Crush!) so we came by Sahara. The space is very clean and has a fast food vibe, which is fine and expected. The food was made fresh in the open kitchen and in a good about of time, and the portions are huge! I have yet to find another place that gives so much bread alongside the rice in a gyro plate like this. The shawarma wrap was really greasy on the bottom, but most of it pooled at the bottom of the tray so it stayed out of the way. Tasty sauces and generous! Service was friendly and we had a great quick bite for dinner. Had enough leftovers to bring the next day for lunch! Will definitely be returning when I get another craving :)

SO DELICIOUS! I wish I could give this place 10 stars. The food is so flavorful, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. Always made fresh for you. This is not a fast food joint, this is freshly prepared high quality food. I've had many things from the menu and it has all been great. Affordable and highly recommended. Friendly staff and easy to eat in or take out. Don't forget to try their baklava, this is a must...soooooooo good!

I'd love to give this place 5 stars, it's our favorite fast Greek in the area. It is just a little more sparse on seating and decoration (water machine awkwardly center aisle, some holes in the wall). Still, the staff have always been nice and prompt and helpful and the food is good. I'm going 4 stars for the environment and wishing just a bit more from the falafel which is hot and flavorful but can be dry inside. That said, note how I have no pictures of my falafel on pita because I dug right in and was half way done before I remembered! The gyro fries are great with this buttery garlic sauce throughout that we don't see at other locations, and the fries nicely crisp under the sauce. Even the hummus is a step above in taste and presentation with a good portion, healthy olive oil topper, and nice spices. Sorry, I'm reserving my Greek five star for a place with the perfect falafel that is both crisp and hot but retains some of that inner moisture while staying crumbly. I know I'm asking a lot but I've had it before and it is so worth it!

This place knocks it out of the park! Unassuming little place that was well worth the find-- huge portions of fresh, flavorful, food that you can tell was cooked with love. I particularly loved the Baba Ghanoush and Kofta, but I looked jealously over at my friend's enormous Gyro and had to demand a few delocious bites. Wonderful staff and a very pleasant place to come eat. I can't wait to come back!

The space is clean, the atmosphere is relaxed, and since it was a sunny day, we were able to sit outside on the patio, which made the meal even nicer. We started with the eggplant dip, and as someone who has never liked eggplant, I was honestly surprised by how good it was. It has a creamy, hummus‑like texture and a really balanced flavor. I would absolutely order it again. The gyros were solid -- nothing overly fancy, but exactly what you expect and want from a good gyro. No complaints there. The service was friendly, and you can tell the owners take pride in what they do. Overall, great food, great service, and a business I'm happy to support.
