If you're looking for authentic Lebanese food, this is by far not even close. Been hesitant to give this place a try but the options are limited in the Seattle area. Walking in, you don't get the Lebanese food aroma or feel. Already I was considering to turn back and leave but I had to commit and not judge by looks. I ordered the shish tawook and tabouli and was very disappointed. As someone familiar with Lebanese food, this was nowhere close to authentic. The flavors were bland, rice is not how it's done in Lebanon (yellow basmati?), the tabouli was underwhelming and dry (Lebanese do not add quinoa either to it), and the portions were surprisingly small for the high prices. Also, no toum but instead something similar to tzaiki? Odd. Unfortunately, the quality and value just weren't there. read more

The meats are quite good. The 5-6 person kabob platter had several appetizers and several meats. The price per person to get everyone full is not crazy, something in the neighborhood of like $30-$35. The main knock against them came at the end of the meal when I asked for an order of falafel to take home. I checked in on the order about 10-15 minutes later and the guy said he would check on it. Another 10-15 minutes later I asked again (people are getting antsy to leave now), I was told that the order never got put in. Under normal circumstances I would have just cut bait at that point but I didn't think I would survive the wrath of my wife who only had been left at home with a grumpy breastfeeding newborn on the one condition that I bring her falafel. So now finally about 30-40 minutes after people had taken their last bite of food, my falafel arrived, for which I was charged full price plus 20% mandatory gratuity because I arrived with a group, regardless of the fact this was a takeout order. read more

The restaurant looked fairly empty, and we were seated right away. The waiter brought us some pita and dipping sauce within 10 minutes and took our orders. Unfortunately, he seemed to forget about us after that. People who arrived later received their food much earlier. When the waiter finally brought the food to our table 45 minutes after we had ordered, he apologized and explained that the kitchen had messed up our orders and gave us a complimentary dessert. We weren't in a rush but would have appreciated being informed of that earlier, especially since the restaurant did not look busy at all. There was an "optional" 5% service charge that was automatically added onto the bill. Food: We got the shawarma combo ($27) and chicken shawarma ($25) plates that each came with a cold side of our choice. We picked the hummus and muhamarra, which is a roasted red pepper and walnut dip. The dishes were small relative to their prices. We filled up on the unlimited pita. I've been to and love the Tanoor in Westlake, so was expecting a similar experience here. Free parking is the biggest plus here, but the space in the Westlake location is much nicer and more aesthetic (IMO). On a weekend evening, there was no wait which was nice and we were given fresh pita for the table along with their herb and oil dip. For food, we got the arambeet, and 2 entrees. Arambeet is 100% a must, and the entrees were not bad either. I would've liked more sauce though as the meat on its own can get dry. Ordered the beef and lamb Shawarma for takeout on a Saturday, and it was ready on time waiting for me. The portion size is huge! Two meals worth of food for $30. The babaganoush and toum are amazing and so flavorful. So much meat. I felt like the shawarma dish itself was kinda dry. It was flavorful but it felt heavy, just lots of rice and meat. I did like the pickled onions and tomatoes they put on the side, but definitely wished for more given the ratio. Overall, good price value and flavors! I might try another dish next time read more

They had plenty of space for us and were accommodating. Plenty of items in the menu, kind of pricey but honestly the food is really really good. We ordered the Batata harra which were fries with garlic sauce or something in top of the fries. It was absolutely delicious! Even better was the harra sauce that came with it. I wonder if they'd sell that to take home, so good! For the main entree, I got the Spicy grilled lamb and veggies. I was truly amazed by how tender the lamb was, the spice and the seasoning on the veggies and the lamb were absolutely delicious. The only thing I didn't like was that there were waaay too many tomatoes on the plate and not enough lamb meat. I got mixed rice to go with it and I'd highly recommend doing that. Great pairing! We came here on a Tuesday for dinner around 8pm. We had no issues with getting a table, in fact they were pretty empty on that day/time. We tried a couple different dishes as a group. Two of us shared a normal platter of lamb which is $32 and comes with an appetizer. The serving size is pretty good and you could probably take leftovers home. Another part of our group split the big platter between 5 people and they had a ton of food leftover to take home. Overall The serving size is really good but you pay for it in price. Came here for lunch on a Wednesday and it was great! You enter the restaurant from the main mall-like building YOU CANNOT enter from the outside! It took us a while to find it because after parking underground we accidentally walked across the street to the other mall only to realize it was right above us in the parking lot.  We should have taken the time to read the menu a bit more clearly because I wasn't aware that the plates that we were ordering comes with an appetizer (I was expecting to see that written at the top of the menu page or something like that, instead it was written on each of the items on the page as if it were an ingredient) so we both froze and ended up ordering the same thing, the Batata Harra fries.  The gyro plane was definitely worth it though my chicken was nothing to really rave about because it was a little dry. ~~Parking: There's 3 hours free parking but you have to register through the Parking app.  ~~Service: Good. There was only 1 other couple dining when we arrived. We were seated fairly quickly and they gave us the time we needed to decide what it is we wanted.  ~~Best Part: The batata harra sauce! For some reason I didn't think that Mediterranean food could be spicy (but it could be because all of the other places I've gone to didn't really have the level of spice I was expecting). This is a great Lebanese spot in Bellevue, though it can be a little tricky to track down especially if you end up parking in the garage. Parking's free for three hours once you register, which is nice. We ordered the dinner plate that's meant for two to four people, and it easily fed our group of four along with a couple of appetizers. Service was warm and attentive, and the food delivered. This is the best middle-Eastern food I've had in my entire life. I have tried at least a dozen different places before (all in North Carolina) and none of them come close. The falafel is so perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the hummus is nice and creamy, and the shawarma combo plate is absolutely packed with flavorful protein. We ordered the shared platter meals to share between 3 people and it was plenty of food for sure! We got the hummus, baba ghannouj, and cheese fatayer to start. I've heard a lot of great things about Tanoor and was in the area, so decided to give them a try. We came in on a rainy Monday afternoon and were the only ones in the restaurant. We were promptly seated, given menus as well as water and complimentary bread with olive oil and zaatar to dip it in. We ended up ordering the mixed grill for 2-3 which includes beef kabob, lamb kabob, shish tawook (marinated chicken breast) and kefta (ground beef with spices formed into a kabob). It also came with your selection of 3 vegetarian appetizers. So we picked: -batata harra (Arabic word which translates to potatoes hot, they're in house made potatoes, with garlic paste on top and served with a side of shattah- which is a hot sauce/paste) -arnabeet (Arabic word for cauliflower- served with tahini paste that is mixed with lemon juice) and -stuffed grape leaves served with Tzatziki dip. Overall, all the food was great, fresh and flavorful. The meats were tender and perfectly cooked. The sides all tasted great. The garlic dip was perfectly garlicky. The portions were definitely more than enough for 3, maybe even 4 people. The restaurant did charge a service fee that I don't understand and the cost of the food was on the higher end $95 (after tax and the service fee), so on the pricier side - but again it was all freshly made and it's hard to find authentic Lebanese food in the state. The service was equally warm and welcoming. While I tried their mezzes, entrees, and dessert, this review is all about their mezzes. Mezze dishes, whether appetizers or mains, are the heart of Middle Eastern & Lebanese cuisine, and Tanoor so excels in them that I felt their mezzes deserve their own spotlight--so here it is! Halloumi Fries Strips of halloumi cheese, lightly coated and fried to a golden perfection, created a crisp exterior while remaining soft and chewy inside. Bursting with rich, vibrant flavors, every bite was absolutely amazing, the most flavorful mezze on the table! Batata Harra Hand-cut fries topped with creamy toum and a sprinkle of Aleppo pepper are a flavorful treat. Toum, a traditional Lebanese garlic sauce added a slight tangy velvety kick and the batata harra sauce added spiciness and smokiness--this is my all time favorite. On this particular occasion the fries were not much crispy but it always was in my previous visits. Falafel Patties Fried patties were perfectly crispy, use herbs & spices to the spot and it was moist creamy inside. served with pickled turnip, pepperoncini & tahini I enjoyed it. Muhammara Muhammara is probably the most complex mezze where you taste everything , smokiness from of roasted red peppers, nuttiness from walnuts, creaminess from breadcrumbs, angy sweetness of pomegranate molasses, freshness from parsley and olive oil add freshness and a silky finish, I love you Muhammara and Tanoor does justice to your name. I tipped 20% on the mobile device before seeing the itemized receipt, only to realize I'd been overcharged through these hidden tactics. Dining out is expensive enough--if restaurants try to deceive their customers, they won't see us back. To top it off, the tea menu listed a pot for $6, yet we were charged $12 for one single pot. Love love love Tanoor! We've had this catered a few times and finally made it to the restaurant in person. We made a reservation for 14 people ahead of time and they had the tables reserved for us. The service is pretty good, our server immediately clocked that we'd be pretty loud and distracted so he made some announcements ahead of time to help keep the ordering process easy and organized. Several of us got different plates, including Shawarma, spicy grilled lamb, cauliflower, potatoes. A group of four got the mixed grill plate which they felt was definitely food for six or seven people. Overall, the portions are large, one plate can definitely feed two people since it also comes with rice and a cold appetizer. The food tasted really well, the spiced lamb was extremely tender and flavored really well. I tried the batata Hara that somebody else got and loved the texture of the fries. Today was my first time at this restaurant. I was there for a late lunch around 2:30. The restaurant design is a little strange starting with the restaurant main entrance. After waiting for few minutes to be seated finally the young gentleman who was baking the bread called someone to get me seated. My server was a nice lady and she recommended the beef kabobs sandwich as it was her favorite. So I went for it and the sandwich was delicious with good quality beef. There was there enough beef where every single bite I took has beef in it. So the sandwich was very good. I ordered a side of Humus which was an average. I had much better. They also provide freshly baked pita bread which was good when it was hot only. . The Zaatar dip that goes with the bread was a nice touch too. The prices at first glance seem high but the main dishes come with appetizer and rice so it's actually quite a lot of food. The free pita bread they give in the beginning is DELICIOUS. Honestly probably my favorite part. I loved all the apps. My beef schwarma was a bit dry. We were a party of 3 and went around 1:00-1:15 PM on a Saturday. Parking in the garage needs a registration and the qr code info is on the restaurant entrance/door. (3 hours free parking). We did get a table soon and didn't have to wait long. The location is nice and so is the ambience. We ordered the following - Beef and Lamb Shawarma Beef and Lamb Shawarma sandwich Chicken Shawarma (half and half - yellow and lentil rice) Each platter comes with a side and we ordered the hummus and the muhammara. The pita bread served along with the sides was fresh and good. The main plates were decent and I wouldn't say it was good or great. However, the lentil rice was good. The service was good except for the fact that she forgot to get us the pita we asked for and remembered when she passed by us. For a party of less than 6, they have an optional service charge of 5% which was made mandatory on my check/bill. I had to reduce the tip amount considering that I have paid 5% along with the bill. There was a mention on the bill/check, asking if we would like to get that optional charge removed, we need to talk to their staff (i noticed that only after coming out of the restaurant). read more

All the vegetarian mezze (small appetizers) that we ordered with the combo were delicious, but my fav were the halloumi fries (basically cheese sticks), cheese fatayir, and the hummus. I'm usually not a hummus person, but their hummus is delicious. They split the main dish into two plates for easy sharing. Everything was good but a bit too well done IMO, maybe that's because I was expecting medium rare, but that's not an option lol. I ordered a hot tea halfway, but they forgot about it until we were almost done with our meal. I got the Wassim Tea, which is a mix of black tea, Saddaf Earl Grey, Moroccan mint green tea, and hibiscus tea. Wassim is the owner's name, and he mixed the tea leaves for brewing. It's like a minty English breakfast tea with a hint of hibiscus. It's interesting but not my cup of tea :p. This was my first time visiting this restaurant. There is free parking in the garage with the Park Mobile App. We were seated but water was not served until after we had ordered and after the homemade pita with dip came out and after I had to ask for water. I asked what the dip was made of as it was more like a paste. Apparently sesame seeds, olive oil, sumac and some other spices. It wasn't exactly a dip but also wasn't easily spreadable either with a knife. The waitstaff appeared to be very young, inexperienced and not intuitive (how can you not serve water when customers are seated?) though they were pleasant enough so I rounded up their rating for that. We ordered the fried cauliflower plate with mixed rice (yellow rice and lentils), The cauliflower was OK but everything else was bland including the tahini sauce. The "salad" which was just lettuce, a mound of chopped tomatoes and a purple pickled vegetable (radish perhaps?) had zero dressing on it: In other words: no flavor. Perhaps the tahini sauce was supposed to be put on the "salad" but as I mentioned previously the tahini sauce was also bland. It needs more salt and garlic and maybe some acidic component to it. We also ordered the chicken Schwarma plate with mixed rice but it only came with yellow rice. The chicken was sliced very thin (thinner than deli meat) and then broken up into very small pieces of meat. The dish itself hardly had any meat. It was mostly rice. The baba ganoush was good with a nice smoky flavor. The complimentary pita was good while it was hot but as soon as it cooled, it was hard. It's a large restaurant space but I think it's a strange set-up with waitstaff milling around behind a half wall of part of the long narrow dining area. I also saw a group of patrons come to the outside entrance and then had to go through the restaurant to the other entrance where the host stand was only to be led back through the restaurant to their table. To me this shows strange set-up and/or lack of experience from the staff. I'm puzzled by the high reviews and am not interested in visiting this restaurant again. Maybe we didn't order the right dishes but it was a mediocre unmemorable experience with below average service and food that was flavorless. read more

Staff is friendly and the food was awesome. The gyro plate was the best I've ever had. Definitely coming back.

To start, food, service, ambiance was welcoming and fabulous. We had the halloumi fries - fabulous fried cheese and arambeet plate with fried spiced cauliflower, rice and lentils, a side of labneh all accompanied by freshly baked warm pita with olive oil and spices as accompaniment.
