Let me first say that I'm 100% Greek. This place is legit. Savanna the waitress greeted us like we were family and was so kind. The owner "Spiro" was warm and welcoming as well. Updating to 1 star based on owner's response. The owner is right, no employee should have to endure rude customers. I commend him for caring for his staff in that way. And just like he said, mistakes happen in any business, and what matters is how they're handled. That's the whole reason for this review. But that's not what I got. When I called about the mistake, the staff member wasn't calm or kind the way the response describes. She was defensive, told me she had nothing to do with placing the wrong order, and said I "talk confusing." There's a difference between a rude customer and a frustrated one who isn't being listened to. I was the latter. I had to send someone all the way back during a party that had already started, and instead of acknowledging that, I was made to feel like I should be grateful the mistake got fixed at all. If the owner cared the way this reply suggests, he would have called himself, or had the manager reach out. Instead the response doubles down and recasts my frustration as disrespect. It sounds like you've been around a long time, and I wish you all the best. Like I said, there are dishes here that are really good, and for some people that'll be enough. But for those who also care about the customer experience, I'd suggest eating elsewhere. read more

I was a bit disappointed when I went here recently. The menu price is not what they charge you. The gal at the cashier said that the price fluctuates daily and the owner increases it or decreases it depending on his mood. She pointed to a small sticker at the bottom of the menu stating that they reserve the right to increase the price, or something like that. I ordered a Gyro sandwich - nothing else was included and they charged almost $20. Menu said it was $17 and even that is high. Paying $20 for a Gyro is ridiculous. Gyro was good. The menu and service here is amazing. The servers are friendly and helpful. They check on you often and our beverages are never empty. The food never disappoints. The gyro is always tasty. The seasonings are perfect and its always cooked just right. The meat is tender, no matter what part of the spit it is shaved from. The salad is fresh and crisp. The avgolemono soup is my favorite. It is warm and tangy and perfect on a summer day. Another table ordered saganaki and they did present it very well by turning off the lights to get the full effect. I have yet to order it at this location but I am sure it is phenomenal as the table ordered another. Overall, Greek House Cafe is my favorite when I am craving Mediterranean food and visiting the area. read more

We got a Veggie Combo Plate and Fish & Chips on June 27th and both meals were very good. We got the same meal today and it's terrible. it's like the food came from a completely different restaurant. My fish was burnt black and very dry. Last time the chips (fries) were golden brown and very tasty. This time they were dry and tasteless - as though they'd been fried twice. My meal wasnt edible and cost $20.00. I don't know if the place changed hands in the lady two weeks or whether it was a different cook but I would NOT have served this meal to a customer. read more

We LOVE Greek House Cafe! The food is worth the price! It's quality, consistently delicious food and they use the best ingredients. We've had Eddie serve us a handful of times and he is always kind and gives his tables great service but the whole staff is kind and helpful. We drive all the way from the valley to go there because it's the best around. We usually order the souvlaki chicken (butterfly cut,) the tallow fries, Greek salad, pita and tzatziki, chicken tenders and of course their home made banana pudding which is a must order! This place is incredible! I went on a Thursday night, thinking it closed at nine but was mistaken and it closed at eight. I walked in at 8:26 realized they were closed and asked if I could get something from the dessert case and they were more than happy to help me. They are so kind there. They show so much love to their customers. Their food is absolutely fantastic. We arrived about 25 minutes before closing, but we were welcomed and seated anyway. The food was delicious and authentic with the large portions that Greek food is known for. My only complaint was that they switched to online menus and their offerings are so extensive that the website you were brought to was overwhelming because you could only see one dish at a time. I asked for a couple of customizations to my order, and they were able to accommodate without any issues. The food is consistently good, and so is the service. Very attentive, informative, and helpful. The restaurant is clean and simple with a focus on cleanliness, order, and just an overall pleasant experience. The bathrooms were remarkably clean and fresh. We come into town about once per year and we will definitely come here next time. (I later found out that it is the same family, and the son took over, and made it into more of a sit down restaurant) We walked in and was greeted with the desserts in the cabinet. That's dangerous! We sat and ordered. I had the Gyros wrap lunch combo. My wife ordered the gyros plate. We also got the Calamari appetizer. That was amazing! It was very fresh. My Gyros wrap was large, stuffed full, and very tasty. My wife's plate was equally large. She asked for rice and was mistakenly given fries. She mentioned it, and immediately got a plate of rice with no discission. That's how a correction should be done. So the service was great, the food was great and we definitely enjoyed our meal. Not a bad place. I love seeing a Greek restaurant that serves saganaki. The spinakopita was excellent. Probably my favorite dish. I also ordered the gyro pizza. The meat and flavor was good, but it didn't work as a pizza. It needed a meltier cheese to bind everything. Every time I'd pick up a slice, the toppings would just tumble off. Very good quality with fresh ingredients. I love that they use beef tallow to fry their French fries and other foods, it makes everything so flavorful and a much healthier option than canola oil.
