The OP Cafe is an awesome experience for fans. The employees are amazing. They're all super welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Shout out to Xeandric, Tony, and Tati for being so energetic and for making my grandma's birthday so much fun! G-Ma had an unforgettable time! Service is quick. There's a good amount of indoor seating and a few outdoor tables, but it can get packed quickly. The interior is so thoughtfully designed (didn't get everything in my video), all the way to the restrooms. Street parking or nearby garage parking is available. Mild-moderate noise level. The prices for food/drinks are fair to slightly higher, but nothing excessively so for a themed cafe - especially for one based off of such a popular anime. Everything we ordered was actually really flavorful and filling. Definitely try the onigiri! The drinks are as sweet as they sound, so keep that in mind if you prefer milder flavors. They have a lot of options, but there's an online menu so guests can plan ahead. Plenty of merch to choose from, including t-shirts, keychains, bottles, lamps, plush toys, etc. Prices are pretty fair, and the quality is sound. You can tell a lot of thought and love went into building this space for fans. I hope they stick around for a long time. Happy 1 year anniversary to the OP Cafe!

I love Luffy. Driving to LA from San Diego to visit the one piece cafe was great. I had been wanting to come and visit. There was a line to get in, however it does move fast. The food was await but you really don't seem to notice the time. Just being with one piece fans makes the experience all worth it. If you're planing to visit I recommend to come with a lot of time Enjoy. Love you Luffy. "I'm the king of the pirates" The straw hat crew :) wink

Ambiance is cool with a well decorated interior. The service and staff were polite with our large party of kids and adults. The food took longer than expected to make with ~45min for the franky burger meal. The presentation was interesting enough with the box and red buns. Family ordered other food that didn't have similar quality and expectations I wish I had photos for.

I had a memorable, fun experience at the One Piece Cafe (Los Angeles). I ordered the Franky Double Burger & Fries ($24.50). It's HUGE!! This burger made a beautiful photo, but the meat patties are unfortunately overcooked. The THICK, big burger is dry; however, the cheese and sauce helped. Still, the experience is very charming! (Important: Cash is not accepted. Bring Card. Also, the location has about eight interior tables, so there's a real possibility that you might not even find inside dine-in seating due to the crazy popularity. I arrived near opening time, and the line to the counter took about 45 minutes. The line didn't even shrink when I'd left.) I arrived at the One Piece Cafe (Los Angeles) on Sunday (around 11:08AM). There was a very long line upon arrival. They had a security guard to monitor everyone, so I felt safe. Parking is difficult since it's Los Angeles. Street Parking was very hard to find, so I parked at the nearby Parking Structure (Sho Tokyo Garage - $15 Flat Rate on Sat or Sun). It's a short two minute walk to the One Piece Cafe (Los Angeles). Staff is professional and polite. Staff worked hard despite the HUGE line of customers. It took about 45 minutes to reach the counter. And my food was completed within 14 minutes. I was lucky enough to find an open table inside. As mentioned, I ordered the Franky Double Burger & Fries ($24.50). This burger is definitely a fun spectacle, but it was also a fairly dry & overcooked burger. It was presented lovingly on a bed of crisp, well-seasoned fries. At the very least, it's HUGE!! I had plenty of leftovers. However, if I ever revisit, I'd focus on the fresh popcorn chicken or refreshing drinks. I had brought my fanatical One Piece buddy on this trip, and my friend's food tasted way better than mine. On ambiance, the One Piece Cafe (Los Angeles) is absolutely lovely if you're able to find an available table. The "windows" show the animated ocean's waves as if you're inside the One Piece boat. There's also screens showing the top pirates in a fun animated way. The location is very clean, and it felt whimsical like a themed cafe inside Disneyland or Universal Studios. The One Piece Music also plays as you wait outside in line and sit inside as you dine. If lucky enough, the experience is very special. Overall, I had a happy, cheerful experience at the One Piece Cafe (Los Angeles). There's many families, young ones, and anime enthusiasts happily adoring their One Piece Themed dining experience. If you're able to arrive early, I happily recommend. 4.5 out of 5

Made a pilgrimage to One Piece Cafe from SD. Well worth the trip. We made several Animae stops and this was one of them we made for my daughter. The restaurant was decorated with the One Piece theme. Very nice! The food was actually really good and the prices were not bad at all. All the items we ordered were delicious. Although the drinks were on the sweeter side. The service was top notch. Very friendly staff. Overall, a great experience. I loved the service, food and atmosphere.

Great tasting food and presentation. Service is quick and friendly. The ambiance is comfortable with tv screens that are aquariums. Pretty cool concept based on an anime.

Extremely cute place, my older sister is obsessed with One Piece so we came here it's about an hour from where we live and the wait was about 35 minutes or so! The food was actually DELICIOUS. You know some places are hyped because of the actual spot and esthetics but this place was that AND the food was amazing. The only problem that day was there was only one bathroom open and the wait was 30 minutes :( it's definitely the cafe vibe you order then you find a seat! It's smaller than I thought but definitely worth a spot to check out! Everyone was super sweet and nice!

As a fan of One Piece I was looking forward to coming here. I don't know what I was expecting but it was a little disappointing for me. The cafe is small and sure it was decorated but if you compare themed cafes in Japan to this it's not that impressive at all. Unfortunately I didn't get to try the food as most of it was sold out when I went so I got Robins drink which was recommended by the staff. The pricing seemed decent for most of the items. It was sweet but very watered down, to me it tasted like a grape propel drink....not my favorite. I noticed a lot of the drinks were premade into cups already. I don't know how I feel about that as the freshness aspect isn't there but maybe they were slammed when they first opened and that was the best way they could get peoples drinks out. The souvenir cup was a nice touch but I personally wouldn't come here again.

Great experience, not too long of a wait on a Friday during lunch. Security guy outside is AMAZING! He was cleaning tables and also helped us secure an inside table when there was only outside ones open! Theming is very cute and the food tastes good. Only complaint is it's pretty pricey and we didn't leave full! But One Piece fans will love this spot.

So typically you expect themed cafes to have bad but cute food as a tradeoff for the cool ambiance. The food is FANTASTIC here. The portions are large, the quality is good, and I don't find the price too high for a themed cafe in Los Angeles. We got in line about 45 minutes before they opened for a friend's birthday party (we had a large party) and it was a delightful experience. The chicken katsu sando is my favorite one I've ever had in Little Tokyo and the french fries RULE, always a good sign. Jinbe's Ocean Burst Slushy and Jinbe's Watermelon Tide Slushy are the best drinks on the menu, TRUST.

Great experience for people who love One Piece, me and my family went here and the food was great the first time I when i got the Zoros onigiri, and Luffys red hawk popcorn chicken which was very good and choppers cotton candy lemonade, and dragon fruit strawberry punch, its was so good I had to go again and get the robin flower flower refresher , gum gum ube horchata, snd the Franky burger. The service was good doing their jobs fine, nothing special, and the ambiance was amazing it has a very good vibe inside with all the One Piece decorations that make you feel like you're in the One Piece show which I love! But there's sometimes a big line for the bathroom and to go inside, still 5 fives!!!

As a fan of One Piece, this cafe has me on a chokehold with ambience and theming. The entire place is covered with One Piece photo opportunities, including the bathrooms. To eat here is an experience and the staff seem genuinely excited and happy to be working here. The cafe collaboration with outside companies to bring community events makes this food spot a stand out! On Tuesdays, they host One Piece Trading Card Game tournaments. On Wednesdays, they host board game nights. I have not personally gone to any of these weekly events but I did get a chance to go to the Kess sponsored pop up when they were featuring their "Dawn of Liberation" kickstarter game, as well as their "Luffy's Bento Picnic" party games. This particular event ran smoothly and made me excited for future collaborations! My only feedback would be to have more tables or eating space. The outside patio could definitely host more tables and chairs. The merchandise they sell seemed higher than market price to me but then again, this is LA! For food, we tried the Chicken Katsu Curry and the Chicken Katsu Sando (can you tell how much I love chicken katsu?). The chicken katsu was tender and well-cooked. The panko coating crust was perfectly crispy, light, and seasoned, providing that satisfying crunch. I was a little disappointed by the veggies on the chicken katsu curry because they were a little too pickly for my taste. The curry sauce tasted flavorful but felt overly thick on some parts. Presentation overall was vibrant and inviting, with the garnishes enhancing our overall happiness levels. Will be back to try other items on the menu and to see if they have other seasonal recipes that they cook up. Exciting to have a themed cafe thrive in Little Tokyo.

When we came here, the line for the food was pretty long which is to be expected because of how popular one piece is! The food was able to come out in a decent amount of time. However, the onigiri was not the best. The rice was not cooked that well because the middle of the rice grain was still pretty hard. Overall, it is an okay experience because of how cute the decorations were! They also sell merchandise as well!

What immediately stood out is how well the cats are treated -- they have full freedom to roam, plenty of toys to keep them entertained, and they're well fed and cared for. You can tell this place genuinely prioritizes making it a warm, comfortable space for the cats while they wait for their forever home. It's not a shelter -- it feels like a home. The staff made the whole adoption experience seamless. Jude especially was incredibly kind, helpful, and knowledgeable -- exactly the kind of person you want guiding you through the process. The rest of the team matched that same energy, and it made everything feel easy and stress-free from start to finish. My girlfriend and I couldn't be happier -- we found our girl Pinky, and she's already stolen our hearts. 10 out of 10, would recommend this café to anyone thinking about adopting. Don't hesitate, just go.

My wife and I have been married for 50 years, and throughout our marriage we have had all kinds of pets--dogs, rabbits, and cats. We have always loved and cared for our animals, and they have all lived out their natural life spans. In fact, we currently have a one-year-old cat whom I brought home from a shelter last year. Last week, I visited CatCafe Lounge and immediately fell in love with one of the cats. I wanted to give her a loving home. We own our home, already have a well-cared-for cat, and have a long history of responsible pet ownership. Nevertheless, my adoption application was rejected without any explanation. When I asked why, they would not give me a reason. I can only assume that our age may have worked against us. As you might have guessed, my wife and I are senior citizens. I find it disappointing that our age could be considered a reason to deny us the opportunity to adopt, especially given our long history of loving and caring for animals. CatCafe Lounge is certainly a wonderful place to visit and interact with cats. But if your intention is to adopt, be aware that even with a stable home and a long history of responsible pet ownership, there is no guarantee that your application will be accepted.

HAPPY 3,000th REVIEW!…read more In honor of this milestone (like I did for the last 1k), I HAVE to give an updated review on MY FAV BUSINESS & 2023 YELP SERVICES BEST FRONT OF HOUSE STAFF WINNER, ASAYORU MAID CAFE!!! 2 years have passed since my last update, & they just keep getting better. Check my 1st review & last update if you want to see how far they've come. They finally had their grand opening this year, & from soft open to grand opening, the location has evolved once again! From start to finish, the attention to MOE detail & decor is to die for. Since this is an updated review, I'm focusing on the big & new, so feverishly points below LOOK AT MY OLD REVIEWS IF YOU WANT BASIC MAID CAFE & ASAYORU REVIEWING!! The events they host are SO, SO FUN & unique. Some are ticketed, while others are special shifts reserved through Yelp. The theming is always fantastic, whether it's a maid birthday, costume event (office day, shrine maiden, flight stewardess, etc.), or Maid with Love event, where a maid chooses a special menu for that day. These are GREAT! Where else can you have lomo saltado, nasi padang, & super-caffeinated drinks prepared 4 different ways at a maid cafe??? I also LOVE the events featuring guests & talents, including overseas idols & V-tubers. I normally wouldn't listen to this genre or become a fan, but I've discovered so many groups & artists simply because I attended an event or collab at Asayoru on a whim. I'm grateful they've expanded my horizons further into otaku culture (every day I become less of a normie & more powerful, thank you). They also have seasonal limited menus, plus menus exclusive to Asa morning & Yoru evening shifts. I'm not a morning person, but I NEED to level up & attend Asa shifts for the morning food, relaxing atmosphere, & Asa chekis with the maids. (The long, elegant maid dresses are TO DIE FOR.) This part is for the people who actually read this far & are okay with my denpa schizotypical ravings (I know like 1 GUY WHO READS THEM). This isn't for everybody. But if it isn't for you, can you really say you're enjoying life? What are you doing besides being a surface-level NPC? But I digress. All the maids are incredibly nice & fun. Getting to know them is one of the best parts, & if you're cool enough, you'll eventually have a favorite (oshi). THAT'S when the cafe gets SUPER fun!! The maids have image colors, so you can get pen lights, order an oshi float in their color, buy merch, cheki, bromides, etc. to support your oshi. You can take pictures of your chekis (Polaroids) or merch with your food or during outside adventures & tag them. It's SO fun! Asayoru is also a great window into oshikatsu culture. If you haven't experienced the true & pure love of having an oshi, visiting Asayoru is a MUST! Your life will change for the better! Trust! Which SEGWAYS into the merchandise. CHECK IT OUT IN THE LOBBY! Almost all (like 95%) is designed & produced by the maids themselves. Acrylic stands, keychains, stickers, buttons, bromides (THE PHOTOS ARE AMAZING), apparel, bags, towels, & much more! Instead of supporting a K-pop idol who will never know you exist, support an Asayoru maid! (JK, don't crucify me.) LEADING ME TO MY NEXT POINT: Asayoru also hosts Hyperstellar, a maid showcase modeled after Japanese idol taiban shows. The maids perform solo or in groups, sometimes with themes or fun costumes, alongside idol groups. It's a great intro to idol culture or simply a fun concert experience. Afterwards, there's buppan, with cheki Polaroids & meet-and-greets. You can also attend Milkyway Marketplace at Atlantic Times Square, hosted by Asayoru. There's an Itasha showcase, participating plaza businesses, anime-themed artists & vendors, a stamp rally, & an outdoor stage with performances all day. Also, to everyone who goes here after I recommend Asayoru at my panel or elsewhere & then malds at waiting (or at me specifically in your review): open a mobage, read a VN, talk to your friends, or SOMETHING. The maids are working hard & doing their best. I wrote this before & want to reiterate it: Asayoru Maid Cafe is truly a passion project & manifestation of the love, effort, & dreams of all the maids & staff involved. I will always love Asayoru Maid Cafe. I've supported them through years of growth & change, & I can only hope to update this review again for my 4,000th review & see how much they've changed by then!

I was hoping to have my own AE86 built and ready when I finally stopped by, but maybe for the new location. As an honest critique of the actual storefront, the appearance and decor is very charming. In a very bright, Japanese themed cafe kind of way. But because this is an Initial D themed drink and snack spot, I can see this being a place where mostly guys use this place as a meet-up hub. Especially for a small car meet. Very niche right? Especially for the dying breed of 1980's 1990's - 2000's JDM cars. That said, how many guys in the city could you actually get to come here regularly for soy and soy-based accessories, drinks, and snacks? The dessert was okay, and I wasn't in love with the drinks. Light, tofu refreshing, but not captivating. Personally, the menu doesn't appeal to me, since I try to avoid soy since it tends to be a pro-estrogen consumable. I don't think they had to box themselves in into being a purely tofu-only cafe. They could sell tofu products, and also have something simple but repeatedly addictive; like In-n-Out, Wurstkuche, Howling Ray's, Tea Master Matcha Cafe, Savoy, Langer's, etc. The closest idea I can think of that would be forced into tofu would be like really excellent, authentic mabo tofu, agedashi tofu, or like a karaage or Tokyo fried chicken style fried chicken with a mabo tofu dipping sauce, heavy on the ma-la flavors. Hell, I might even stop by more if they imported more car parts, from like Impulse, TRD, or Apex'i. But the way the AE86 market is, it makes more sense to sell online to the global niche. Wonderful atmosphere and mood for the Initial D/MF Ghost/Subaru to Subaru fandom. It was fun just to follow on instagram and catch a glimpse of all the influencer personalities in the car community stopping by. I'll look forward to what their next Project T(ofu) looks like. See you next time, Space (cow) boy. Oh-oh-oh. I need you babe.

I really liked how well decorated this place was, it looks way better in person than in pictures. Next, the drinks were delicious! I got an horchata cold boo with cold foam (cold foam is extra) it was really good I will say the flavor is unique, the horchata flavor didn't come off very strong but it was still delicious nonetheless! My boyfriend got the cookie butter (Iced) he thought it was pretty good, on the sweeter side and he said the aroma was pretty good! It was like a medium espresso just the right amount, the espresso does not overpower the sweetness. The service was quick, we waited about 5 minutes in total, and there was no wait time! *We paid $14 in total for these drinks.

I really wanted to enjoy this matcha, but it just wasn't "matcha-ing" for me. I ordered the ube matcha, but they handed me blueberry instead. I didn't want to waste more time waiting for another order. Not only was it the wrong one, but it also just tasted like straight-up sugar. It's tucked away in an alley inside a mostly empty plaza, so you'll need to look for the sign.
