I had a memorable, fun experience at the One Piece Cafe (Los Angeles). I ordered the Franky Double Burger & Fries ($24.50). It's HUGE!! This burger made a beautiful photo, but the meat patties are unfortunately overcooked. The THICK, big burger is dry; however, the cheese and sauce helped. Still, the experience is very charming! (Important: Cash is not accepted. Bring Card. Also, the location has about eight interior tables, so there's a real possibility that you might not even find inside dine-in seating due to the crazy popularity. I arrived near opening time, and the line to the counter took about 45 minutes. The line didn't even shrink when I'd left.) I arrived at the One Piece Cafe (Los Angeles) on Sunday (around 11:08AM). There was a very long line upon arrival. They had a security guard to monitor everyone, so I felt safe. Parking is difficult since it's Los Angeles. Street Parking was very hard to find, so I parked at the nearby Parking Structure (Sho Tokyo Garage - $15 Flat Rate on Sat or Sun). It's a short two minute walk to the One Piece Cafe (Los Angeles). Staff is professional and polite. Staff worked hard despite the HUGE line of customers. It took about 45 minutes to reach the counter. And my food was completed within 14 minutes. I was lucky enough to find an open table inside. As mentioned, I ordered the Franky Double Burger & Fries ($24.50). This burger is definitely a fun spectacle, but it was also a fairly dry & overcooked burger. It was presented lovingly on a bed of crisp, well-seasoned fries. At the very least, it's HUGE!! I had plenty of leftovers. However, if I ever revisit, I'd focus on the fresh popcorn chicken or refreshing drinks. I had brought my fanatical One Piece buddy on this trip, and my friend's food tasted way better than mine. On ambiance, the One Piece Cafe (Los Angeles) is absolutely lovely if you're able to find an available table. The "windows" show the animated ocean's waves as if you're inside the One Piece boat. There's also screens showing the top pirates in a fun animated way. The location is very clean, and it felt whimsical like a themed cafe inside Disneyland or Universal Studios. The One Piece Music also plays as you wait outside in line and sit inside as you dine. If lucky enough, the experience is very special. Overall, I had a happy, cheerful experience at the One Piece Cafe (Los Angeles). There's many families, young ones, and anime enthusiasts happily adoring their One Piece Themed dining experience. as big one piece fans, my boyfriend and i have had this spot on our list for ages, and we finally made the trip out this weekend! i'll be completely honest: going into it, i didn't have the highest expectations. i hadn't really looked into it since it first opened, and i kind of assumed it would be more of a cash-grab situation with mid food that's overpriced just because of the theme. so i am SO happy to say i was completely wrong. the decor was way higher quality than i expected. you can tell a lot of thought and detail went into the design of the cafe. i loved that they had wanted posters of different pirates scattered around, and the straw hats' posters across the register. they also have giant screens showing rotating fan rankings of the top 100 characters, which was super fun to watch. the whole place kind of feels like the inside of a pirate ship with the wooden walls and windows, and there's even a video by the kitchen of sanji "cooking" the food, which was such a nice touch. as for the food, everything was honestly so good, i'm already craving it again hours later. i ordered zoro's spicy tuna onigiri and hatchan's takoyaki, and my boyfriend got the franky burger and fries. we both got robin's flower-flower power refresher. the total came out to about $65, which is a bit pricey (but expected), but the portions and quality made it worth it. the burger was a really solid size, and my small bites were cooked perfectly. the takoyaki was crispy on the outside and soft and gooey on the inside, and the onigiri was so good, my stomach's grumbling just remembering it. i honestly wish i had ordered more to take home. even the drink cups were nice and sturdy, so you could easily keep them as souvenirs, and i loved how everything came in themed trays. the staff were all really kind too, and worked as quickly as they could considering how busy it was. even with a bunch of people ahead of us, we only waited about 20 minutes for our food, which honestly felt worth it, and it gave us time to look around and take in all the decor. i also liked the range of merch they had, even though neither of us ended up getting anything. i will say that the seating was a bit limited. we were lucky to snag a little table as someone was leaving when we got there, but there isn't too much seating inside if it's a busy day. there is some outdoor seating as well, but you may be stuck waiting for a bit if there aren't any seats. this is where the wait for food may come in handy lol. overall, this was such a fun stop for both of us. if you're a one piece fan, whether casual or diehard, this is definitely a must-visit! read more

My son really loved this place. Its a One Piece themed cafe with plenty of photo opportunities. We were able to get a table quite easily. There were a few parties entering throughout the time that we were there, but it didn't get very busy. Really the hardest thing was finding a street parking spot, given the Little Tokyo location. Also FYI there are some shady areas at night a few blocks away from this (away from the action of LT), so may want to be careful where you park, especially coming with kids. He didn't feel like eating so just had a drink, which was surprisingly really good. Came in an interesting one piece cup. read more

As a fan of One Piece I was looking forward to coming here. I don't know what I was expecting but it was a little disappointing for me. The cafe is small and sure it was decorated but if you compare themed cafes in Japan to this it's not that impressive at all. Unfortunately I didn't get to try the food as most of it was sold out when I went so I got Robins drink which was recommended by the staff. The pricing seemed decent for most of the items. It was sweet but very watered down, to me it tasted like a grape propel drink....not my favorite. I noticed a lot of the drinks were premade into cups already. I don't know how I feel about that as the freshness aspect isn't there but maybe they were slammed when they first opened and that was the best way they could get peoples drinks out. Took family here who are big one piece fans (I personally have never watched it myself), and they loved it. It was super on theme, and the inside really made it feel like you were on a ship. There was a line when I came which took about 15-20 minutes. I ordered their chicken kastu curry, popcorn chicken, onigiri (spicy tuna), and their burger and fries. Everything was pretty yummy and loved the theming on it. There's both inside and outdoor seating, but try for the inside ones since the ship decor is so cute. Their restrooms even have cute decor. As a fan of One Piece, this cafe has me on a chokehold with ambience and theming. The entire place is covered with One Piece photo opportunities, including the bathrooms. To eat here is an experience and the staff seem genuinely excited and happy to be working here. The cafe collaboration with outside companies to bring community events makes this food spot a stand out! On Tuesdays, they host One Piece Trading Card Game tournaments. On Wednesdays, they host board game nights. I have not personally gone to any of these weekly events but I did get a chance to go to the Kess sponsored pop up when they were featuring their "Dawn of Liberation" kickstarter game, as well as their "Luffy's Bento Picnic" party games. This particular event ran smoothly and made me excited for future collaborations!My only feedback would be to have more tables or eating space. The outside patio could definitely host more tables and chairs. The merchandise they sell seemed higher than market price to me but then again, this is LA! For food, we tried the Chicken Katsu Curry and the Chicken Katsu Sando (can you tell how much I love chicken katsu?). The chicken katsu was tender and well-cooked. The panko coating crust was perfectly crispy, light, and seasoned, providing that satisfying crunch. I was a little disappointed by the veggies on the chicken katsu curry because they were a little too pickly for my taste. The curry sauce tasted flavorful but felt overly thick on some parts. Presentation overall was vibrant and inviting, with the garnishes enhancing our overall happiness levels. I went here for my birthday. I regret it. It was 11am, there was a small line, we waited at the end of the rope but it took us 45 minutes to get inside to order. There is no shade outside and we waited in the hot blazing sun. I felt so bad for the people behind me because they didn't have hats on and they were beet red by the time they got inside. They put so much effort into the restaurant theme with no regards to creating sufficient seating or shade for their customers. We luckily got a seat inside (2 of us) but it was so uncomfortable to eat there as people are literally crossing their arms with daggers in their eyes waiting for you to get up so they can sit. They might not have enough staff or something because i saw a staff member angrily leaving, practically ripping off her apron and there was a security guy, in uniform, that was picking up after people and cleaning the tables. The items we came for were on the online menu but once we got there, the outside menu showed the items we came for were not available. So that was a bummer. I thought at least the food was going to be good. The food was awful. The popcorn chicken was both burnt and pink on the inside. The sandwich had no flavor. The fries were cold and soggy. The presentation was nice to look at but the quality and taste were subpar. I don't think Sanji would be proud. The drinks were good! I'll give it that. I went to the bathroom and came back to finish my fries/drink and the security took my tray asked me if I was done. I guess I was. The location is cute but I don't recommend the food. Cute little One Piece themed cafe in Little Tokyo! We decided to stroll in and grab a snack/drink since it didn't look busy. Thankfully things moved quickly and we got our refreshments and a table outside. The cafe is well maintained in terms of cleanliness and all the decor added to its charm. They also sell some merchandise but it's all quite pricey. We enjoyed our drinks (ube horchata and tangerine slushy) and kept the cups. The ube horchata was nice and creamy and my slushy had a nice tang too it despite how sweet it was! Definitely a great place to check out if you're a fan of One Piece. read more

My kid loves one piece anime so we had to stop by here while we were in LA. Easy to find and plenty of street parking. The cafe is not too big but plenty of chairs inside. When we walked inside the shop, Luffy was greeting us. We ordered Franky burger, Takoyaki and Robin drink. We wanted to try Luffy' chicken but it was out. Id definitely say that the seating and lines were very huge I think the only form of critic I would say is that the seating situation was very bad you kind of have to fight tooth and nail for a table but luckily we got a spot very last minute, for the amount of big wait times the service and food really made it up! I had to go and check it out, so here I was. It's located a block away from Little Tokyo. It's also close to the Metro station. Once inside, I was amazed with the animated screens welcoming the guests. The interior looked like Thousand Sunny Go. I don't know if the Las Vegas version updated their interior to match Los Angeles, but the former didn't have this many animated screens. This one really felt like I was inside the aquarium area of the ship. One Piece opening and ending songs, some from the movie, played in the background. The menu looked similar to the one in Las Vegas, so I chose the horchata drink (one I didn't order at the Las Vegas cafe). The weather was on the chilly side on this day but for this moment it was just right. We took our mid-teen son here because he's been hyped about this place for a while thanks to the show. Mom & Dad duty activated. I'll be honest...I walked in with cautious expectations. I'm a foodie, and themed spots can sometimes lean hard into the theme and forget the food. Happy to report: the food was better than I expected. Not life-changing, not "book a return trip tomorrow," but solid. Pretty good. Decent flavor across the board. We came on a busy day and the place was buzzing. Line outside, lots of families, couples, fans, and people who clearly planned their outfits accordingly. The menu has a nice variety, so even if you're not fully committed to the theme, you'll find something that works. The onigiri (rice balls) were actually good--probably my favorite bite. Comfort food that does what it's supposed to do. The barbecue - just ok. Prices are higher, but that's kind of expected when you're paying for food and an experience. The food is pricey, you're also paying for the experience and the food is good! My kids and I are fans of One Piece. It was raining the day we came. It was busy and we had to wait outside before we ordered. I felt rushed ordering because of the long line behind us and people waiting outside in the rain. It would be helpful if there was a menu outside or a laminated menu could be offered while we stood in line with a tent covering or umbrella. It should say what items they are out of. It was hard finding a seat. We are a family of five and I was worried we wouldn't find a seat. The outside could be used and umbrellas and heaters for busier days. Possibly have one of the workers assist with seating. When we were there a couple sat at one of the biggest tables that could fit 8 people and there was only two of them. Families with little kids kept coming in and standing waiting for a seats to open up. The experience was immersive. if you like One Piece this place is great. There is a big Luffy statue and a screen behind with different characters popping up. Behind that area it shows other screens where it feels like you are below deck. In the front there are port holes with screens with different scenery. They DO NOT accept cash. Make sure you get your receipt when you order because we were missing two items. My wife was not given a receipt. Our order was on two kitchen print outs, they were able to find it, and we got our order. Service: There was a security guard on the outside. The cashier was friendly and answered questions we had. You order at the register and they give you a pager. You pick up the food at the counter. We arrived in a Saturday by 6pm. The place wasn't packed but parking was hard to find. I ended up parking in the alley way where there are visitor parking spaces in the apartment complexes next to this place. We got here not too late but there weren't any pastries available. That's why I rated it four stars. I can't wait to come back and when I try the pastries I know it'll be a five star experience. The drinks were so good. I had the berry one and take my advice, don't drink it with a straw, use a spoon and scoop it out every time. It'll be the perfect balance of any dish there. The matcha horchata was great too. It was nice and cinnamony with no overwhelming matcha taste. I got the sando and omg it was good but just a little too savory. It would be perfect if it had some more lettuce but that's just my preference. It's a great sandwich but both pieces were cooked a bit differently as one was chewier than the other. The fries were so good. They resemble seasoned curly fries from Costco except better. Truly if the fries came with the curry as well it would a great combination. My partner had the curry and he liked it. He just mentioned that he would have loved more rice for the serving. For both entree and drinks we paid about $60. For any fan of the show I would recommend coming! It's so cute. The ambiance is clean and you'll feel like you're inside the thousand sunny! The staff is friendly too! I can't wait to come back and this time I want to try to the meat platter dish. I was scared the first time to try it since it's the most expensive on the menu but after loving three out of three things I know it will be something I won't regret! My siblings and I have visited this cafe three times now and it never disappoints!! The ambiance here is just so whimsical and delightful, you can't help but feel excited and be in awe once you enter. All the One Piece music that plays also adds to the atmosphere. Granted the cafe is small, so if you're there during rush hour it may be difficult to find a spot to sit and eat. Somehow we were able to find a spot every time while waiting for our food to be ready. The line can also be long during rush hour, but it moves along quickly thanks to the staff who're quick on their feet. They're a chill, kind, and helpful bunch, which I appreciate. The food and drinks here are also pretty good! I didn't expect the food and drinks to be good quality but here we are for a third time lol We haven't tried everything yet, but we're planning to! The batter to octopus ratio is good. They put on a good amount of bonito flakes and sauce on there too. It'd be perfect if the outside was slightly more crispy but other than that solid dish! Franky's burger and fries - 4/5 Pretty standard cheeseburger imo! Bun is cool, patty's not dry, toppings seem fresh. Fries have good texture and flavor too. Popcorn chicken - 4/5 Pretty standard popcorn chicken! Would be awesome if they had that seasoning I usually see on popcorn chicken. I know it's too much to ask for the thai basil but that and the seasoning's what would've made it 5/5 for me. This is such an awesome cafe! I had been wanting to come here ever since I seen it online, and I'm a huge fan of One Piece. I parked at the Japanese Village Plaza Parking Garage on 111 S Central Ave ($4 every 15 minutes or max of $20) and just walked here since it's not that far, and there's plenty of anime stores to check out on the way. The service was excellent and very attentive. The worker saw that my friend and I were taking photos, and he offered to help us with the photos! And he checked with us several times if the food was ok and if we needed anything else. We ordered the Zoro's Onigiri and Brook's Chicken Katsu Curry. The portions were big, and we were so full when we were done eating. They were flavorful. For drinks, we got Robins Flower-Flower Power Refresher and Jinbe's Ocean Burst Slushy. Very refreshing. Since this is a theme restaurant, the interior and merchandise are all One Piece related. The walls near the restroom and in the restroom are decorated with the wanted posters. Finally went here as my son wanted to try this restaurant for his birthday. We arrived around 4:30 on a Saturday so there was no line. Checked the menu out and chose the mighty meat platter, Sandi's yakisoba, Zoro's onigiri with tuna mayo and we ordered soda and a strawberry drink. If you're a fan I guess going here should be in your list. Like any themed restaurant at least you need to be satisfied with the ambiance and feel of the place and I think my son was and I took pictures of them they both like manga so they enjoyed the place. The meat platter was shared between me and my son - it was a huge portion but I wish I ordered the fried rice. The onigiri was good and I recommend ordering that if you're looking to just try out the place without spending too much. The portions are generally small (except for the pirate platter). Our favorite was definitely the katsu curry because of how spicy, crispy, and juicy the chicken was! Though the portions look small, they were pretty filling. We're already planning on coming back for other things based on overhearing nearby tables talk about how yummy their options were! There's limited seating inside, but plenty of space outside. If you're a fan of the Anime and have access to this restaurant due to proximity, you kind of owe it yourself to check it out. :-D There is usually a line, but it generally moves fast so don't be intimated (unless it snakes around the block and you're super hungry--take care of yourself first). Bring your camera because there a few good photo ops inside that could be the envy of fellow fans who are not able to get to this restaurant. I (with the help of my Youngest for the pronunciation) ordered and consumed the "Sanji's 'Diable Jambe' Chicken Katsu Sando. It comes with fries and is solidly delicious--I especially liked the sauce on it. It's also expensive ($19.50 at the time of this review) but I wasn't expecting a cheap eats situation because it's a themed restaurant and the high prices are expected. Another delicious dish to try is "Sanji's Beef Yakisoba" because it's flavorful. For a drink choice, I recommend "Robin's Flower-Flower Power Refresher", it's delicious and well...refreshing. :-D Their restroom is gender neutral, clean, and themed. I stopped by here twice during my trip because the drinks are so good. It's a smaller cafe but it's nicely decorated with One Piece merchandise and makes you feel like you're on the ship looking out. The fruit punch drink was my favorite but the yuzu lemonade was also very refreshing. I also tried the fried rice with egg and bell pepper which was okay. It comes in a cute box but isn't meant to be taken to go. I wish it came with some protein. Overall I would come back for the drinks. read more

Such a fun themed cafe, themed music playing as well. They have a monitor that changes out characters so you can get a pic with your fave. They don't have as much merch as the one in Vegas on top of having different food items as well. That all said customer service here is top tier. I had the katsu at both locations and honestly I think LA does it better, more spices and better flavor. read more

My husband is a huge One Piece fan so as an anime otaku he had to visit the One Piece Cafe in Little Tokyo. We got there later in the day so many food items were already sold out. We got the special of the month Zoro's Onigiri - Spam and Kimchi flavor. It came with 2 big size rice balls served warm with spam and kimchi filling. It was tasty and the size was ample. We also got the Jinbe's Oceanburst Slushie which was a good slushy consistency and not overly sweet (compliment). It is mango, strawberry, apple and pomegranate flavored. The cup is very cute and can be taken home as a souvenir cup. The price for the food was fair, not overly expensive. They did sell some merch which I thought was a litttle pricey but that's to be expected for official One Piece merch. The cafe had decorations of all the One Piece characters and lots of wanted posters all over the store, even in the bathroom! The decor makes you feel like you're inside the ship. If you're a One Piece fan, this will be a very place to visit! read more

I rate this place more of a 3.8...but bumped it up to a 4 because the service was nice. The security guard was extremely helpful monitoring the line, assisting the customers with tossing the trash and helping customers finding a seat and grabbing chairs. The place is tiny so there is a line to get in. Inside seating is limited. There is outside seating but no shade. Order at the counter and you get a little beeper that will go off once your food is ready. We tried the katsu chicken sandwich - non spicy. We also ordered the popcorn chicken, French fries, and the pepper & egg fried rice. We also tried the gum gum ube horchata. Our favs were the popcorn chicken and katsu chicken sandwich. All the chicken were crispy and soft inside. The fries were good, but nothing too special about them. We didn't enjoy the fried rice too much (except for my husband) . The kids and I felt there was too much going on for a meatless fried rice. There were yellow bell peppers, onions, and green onions...so it tasted VERY onion-y lol. But to each their own... if you like all of that...you'd probably enjoy. The ube horchata was a hit. Ube and cinnamon work well with each other and the horchata was very creamy. The place is a bit pricey...you are paying for the One Piece aesthetics...but it is very cute! If you're down this way, definitely a place to visit to at least grab a snack and take a quick pic with your fav one piece character. read more

This place is perfect for a bite to eat while in little Tokyo. We got the chicken katsu curry which was surprisingly good! Their medium level is spicier than most, so go easy on the spice if you can't eat super spicy. Their yuzu lemonade was refreshing and not too sweet. The decor is cute and I love that their bathroom also had a bunch of wanted poster and a mirror frame one too. Prices are reasonable and employees are super friendly! read more

It's good! Just don't expect much. The one piece cafe is one of those touristy food attraction sort of places. Which means... you can expect the food to be average despite how yummy and interesting the menu items seem. It's full one piece theme, they have merch, seating inside is limited but they do have outdoor seating and as for parking... you'd be better off finding a parking structure since it's in the heart of little Tokyo - which is very walkable. Service was friendly and the food wasn't bad. I'd go again if someone really wanted me to tag along. read more

Food was much better than I was expecting but was still pretty much about average. I did enjoy the chicken curry which was a pretty decent size contrary to what it might look like in a picture and the ube horchata although it was a lot of ice and not too big of a size. Fries tasted to similar to Popeyes fries so no real complaints on flavor but do wish they could have added some twist like furikake or something to theme it a bit . Normally I would give a place like this 4 stars but my party and I were unhappy about our 25 minute wait when there was only one party who had already ordered some time before we got there and there was no one else before us. read more
