Came here twice because I'm a huge One Piece fan, and both visits were great experiences for different reasons. The first time was back in May with a friend during a special event that had a costumed character and a pretty long line outside. I also came back recently to try their limited-time Captain Buggy dessert and stopped by about an hour before closing. The atmosphere is easily one of the biggest reasons to come here. The entire inside is decorated to look like the interior of a pirate ship, and the walls are covered with the characters' wanted posters. If you're a One Piece fan, there's a lot to look at and it definitely makes the experience more fun. Service was great both times. During the first visit, there was a long line because of the event, but the staff were still really friendly and helpful despite the crowd. The second time I came in right before closing, and the staff were still welcoming and didn't make us feel rushed. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the food and drinks. The first visit we ordered the matcha horchata, onigiri, katsu sandwich, and fried rice. Everything was better than I expected, especially considering this is more of a themed cafe experience. On my second visit, I got Captain Buggy's Carnival Crunch dessert, which actually tasted better than I was expecting! You'd think the fried PB&J uncrustable covered in fruity pebbles and topped with vanilla ice cream and sprinkles would be overwhelming, but surprisingly the flavors and textures went really well together! I'd honestly get it again. Overall, I really enjoyed both visits. The prices are pretty standard for an LA restaurant, so I didn't have any complaints there. Obviously, the biggest appeal is being a One Piece fan, but even beyond the theme, the food was solid and the staff were great. Definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of the series, especially when they have special events or limited-time menu items. Went over here about a month ago and ordered the Zoro's Matcha Horchata. "Trendy" i said in my head "Regretful" I thought even before my first swig $8 and you get some green sludge from a milk bottle. You would assume baristas would put a little more work into it, especially with how they try to reimagine drinks, but this aint not Rum and Coke. Bruh give me something, not some thick floury boogers, this was pure slop * I want to emphasize that when I received my drink it was not drinkable and it made me sick to my stomach. This was floury, slimey and overly sweet, it overpowered the matcha flavor and was by far my worst experience at any cafe. LA is filled with shit holes such as this one. The OP Cafe is an awesome experience for fans. The employees are amazing. They're all super welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Shout out to Xeandric, Tony, and Tati for being so energetic and for making my grandma's birthday so much fun! G-Ma had an unforgettable time! Service is quick. There's a good amount of indoor seating and a few outdoor tables, but it can get packed quickly. The interior is so thoughtfully designed (didn't get everything in my video), all the way to the restrooms. Street parking or nearby garage parking is available. Mild-moderate noise level. The prices for food/drinks are fair to slightly higher, but nothing excessively so for a themed cafe - especially for one based off of such a popular anime. Everything we ordered was actually really flavorful and filling. Definitely try the onigiri! The drinks are as sweet as they sound, so keep that in mind if you prefer milder flavors. They have a lot of options, but there's an online menu so guests can plan ahead. Plenty of merch to choose from, including t-shirts, keychains, bottles, lamps, plush toys, etc. Prices are pretty fair, and the quality is sound. I love Luffy. Driving to LA from San Diego to visit the one piece cafe was great. I had been wanting to come and visit. There was a line to get in, however it does move fast. The food was await but you really don't seem to notice the time. Just being with one piece fans makes the experience all worth it. Ambiance is cool with a well decorated interior. The service and staff were polite with our large party of kids and adults. The food took longer than expected to make with ~45min for the franky burger meal. The presentation was interesting enough with the box and red buns. I had a memorable, fun experience at the One Piece Cafe (Los Angeles). I ordered the Franky Double Burger & Fries ($24.50). It's HUGE!! This burger made a beautiful photo, but the meat patties are unfortunately overcooked. The THICK, big burger is dry; however, the cheese and sauce helped. Still, the experience is very charming! (Important: Cash is not accepted. Bring Card. Also, the location has about eight interior tables, so there's a real possibility that you might not even find inside dine-in seating due to the crazy popularity. I arrived near opening time, and the line to the counter took about 45 minutes. The line didn't even shrink when I'd left.) I arrived at the One Piece Cafe (Los Angeles) on Sunday (around 11:08AM). There was a very long line upon arrival. They had a security guard to monitor everyone, so I felt safe. Parking is difficult since it's Los Angeles. Street Parking was very hard to find, so I parked at the nearby Parking Structure (Sho Tokyo Garage - $15 Flat Rate on Sat or Sun). It's a short two minute walk to the One Piece Cafe (Los Angeles). Staff is professional and polite. Staff worked hard despite the HUGE line of customers. It took about 45 minutes to reach the counter. And my food was completed within 14 minutes. I was lucky enough to find an open table inside. As mentioned, I ordered the Franky Double Burger & Fries ($24.50). This burger is definitely a fun spectacle, but it was also a fairly dry & overcooked burger. It was presented lovingly on a bed of crisp, well-seasoned fries. At the very least, it's HUGE!! I had plenty of leftovers. However, if I ever revisit, I'd focus on the fresh popcorn chicken or refreshing drinks. I had brought my fanatical One Piece buddy on this trip, and my friend's food tasted way better than mine. On ambiance, the One Piece Cafe (Los Angeles) is absolutely lovely if you're able to find an available table. The "windows" show the animated ocean's waves as if you're inside the One Piece boat. There's also screens showing the top pirates in a fun animated way. The location is very clean, and it felt whimsical like a themed cafe inside Disneyland or Universal Studios. The One Piece Music also plays as you wait outside in line and sit inside as you dine. If lucky enough, the experience is very special. Overall, I had a happy, cheerful experience at the One Piece Cafe (Los Angeles). There's many families, young ones, and anime enthusiasts happily adoring their One Piece Themed dining experience. As a fan of One Piece I was looking forward to coming here. I don't know what I was expecting but it was a little disappointing for me. The cafe is small and sure it was decorated but if you compare themed cafes in Japan to this it's not that impressive at all. Unfortunately I didn't get to try the food as most of it was sold out when I went so I got Robins drink which was recommended by the staff. The pricing seemed decent for most of the items. It was sweet but very watered down, to me it tasted like a grape propel drink....not my favorite. I noticed a lot of the drinks were premade into cups already. I don't know how I feel about that as the freshness aspect isn't there but maybe they were slammed when they first opened and that was the best way they could get peoples drinks out. As a huge One Piece fan, I'll keep coming here until it closes. The food is just okay and a bit pricey for what it is, but you're really paying for the experience. I usually get the chicken and the Nico Robin drink, which tastes like Kool-Aid. The chicken is crispy and solid. The portions are large, the quality is good, and I don't find the price too high for a themed cafe in Los Angeles. We got in line about 45 minutes before they opened for a friend's birthday party (we had a large party) and it was a delightful experience. The chicken katsu sando is my favorite one I've ever had in Little Tokyo and the french fries RULE, always a good sign. As a fan of One Piece, this cafe has me on a chokehold with ambience and theming. The entire place is covered with One Piece photo opportunities, including the bathrooms. To eat here is an experience and the staff seem genuinely excited and happy to be working here. The cafe collaboration with outside companies to bring community events makes this food spot a stand out! On Tuesdays, they host One Piece Trading Card Game tournaments. On Wednesdays, they host board game nights. I have not personally gone to any of these weekly events but I did get a chance to go to the Kess sponsored pop up when they were featuring their "Dawn of Liberation" kickstarter game, as well as their "Luffy's Bento Picnic" party games. This particular event ran smoothly and made me excited for future collaborations!My only feedback would be to have more tables or eating space. The outside patio could definitely host more tables and chairs. The merchandise they sell seemed higher than market price to me but then again, this is LA! For food, we tried the Chicken Katsu Curry and the Chicken Katsu Sando (can you tell how much I love chicken katsu?). The chicken katsu was tender and well-cooked. The panko coating crust was perfectly crispy, light, and seasoned, providing that satisfying crunch. I was a little disappointed by the veggies on the chicken katsu curry because they were a little too pickly for my taste. The curry sauce tasted flavorful but felt overly thick on some parts. Presentation overall was vibrant and inviting, with the garnishes enhancing our overall happiness levels. Cute little One Piece themed cafe in Little Tokyo! We decided to stroll in and grab a snack/drink since it didn't look busy. Thankfully things moved quickly and we got our refreshments and a table outside. The cafe is well maintained in terms of cleanliness and all the decor added to its charm. They also sell some merchandise but it's all quite pricey. We enjoyed our drinks (ube horchata and tangerine slushy) and kept the cups. as big one piece fans, my boyfriend and i have had this spot on our list for ages, and we finally made the trip out this weekend! i'll be completely honest: going into it, i didn't have the highest expectations. i hadn't really looked into it since it first opened, and i kind of assumed it would be more of a cash-grab situation with mid food that's overpriced just because of the theme. so i am SO happy to say i was completely wrong. the decor was way higher quality than i expected. you can tell a lot of thought and detail went into the design of the cafe. i loved that they had wanted posters of different pirates scattered around, and the straw hats' posters across the register. they also have giant screens showing rotating fan rankings of the top 100 characters, which was super fun to watch. the whole place kind of feels like the inside of a pirate ship with the wooden walls and windows, and there's even a video by the kitchen of sanji "cooking" the food, which was such a nice touch. as for the food, everything was honestly so good, i'm already craving it again hours later. i ordered zoro's spicy tuna onigiri and hatchan's takoyaki, and my boyfriend got the franky burger and fries. we both got robin's flower-flower power refresher. the total came out to about $65, which is a bit pricey (but expected), but the portions and quality made it worth it. the burger was a really solid size, and my small bites were cooked perfectly. the takoyaki was crispy on the outside and soft and gooey on the inside, and the onigiri was so good, my stomach's grumbling just remembering it. i honestly wish i had ordered more to take home. even the drink cups were nice and sturdy, so you could easily keep them as souvenirs, and i loved how everything came in themed trays. the staff were all really kind too, and worked as quickly as they could considering how busy it was. even with a bunch of people ahead of us, we only waited about 20 minutes for our food, which honestly felt worth it, and it gave us time to look around and take in all the decor. i also liked the range of merch they had, even though neither of us ended up getting anything. i will say that the seating was a bit limited. we were lucky to snag a little table as someone was leaving when we got there, but there isn't too much seating inside if it's a busy day. there is some outdoor seating as well, but you may be stuck waiting for a bit if there aren't any seats. this is where the wait for food may come in handy lol. overall, this was such a fun stop for both of us. if you're a one piece fan, whether casual or diehard, this is definitely a must-visit! read more

Don't wait until you have to go! If you are into One Piece, this is a solid 5 stars on theming and execution of the restaurant and menu options. Don't factor in the food isn't hot or the prices. You pay for the experience. Also...outside of the OP Cafe sweatshirt for $68(!), most other items are available on Amazon for 1/3 less. The puzzle was $30 but online it was $20. I had to go and check it out, so here I was. It's located a block away from Little Tokyo. It's also close to the Metro station. Once inside, I was amazed with the animated screens welcoming the guests. The interior looked like Thousand Sunny Go. I don't know if the Las Vegas version updated their interior to match Los Angeles, but the former didn't have this many animated screens. This one really felt like I was inside the aquarium area of the ship. One Piece opening and ending songs, some from the movie, played in the background. The menu looked similar to the one in Las Vegas, so I chose the horchata drink (one I didn't order at the Las Vegas cafe). The weather was on the chilly side on this day but for this moment it was just right. I guess this cafe is a great way to connect with fellow fans because whoever goes into this cafe is bound to be a One Piece fan. read more

We took our mid-teen son here because he's been hyped about this place for a while thanks to the show. Mom & Dad duty activated. I'll be honest...I walked in with cautious expectations. I'm a foodie, and themed spots can sometimes lean hard into the theme and forget the food. Happy to report: the food was better than I expected. Not life-changing, not "book a return trip tomorrow," but solid. Pretty good. Decent flavor across the board. We came on a busy day and the place was buzzing. Line outside, lots of families, couples, fans, and people who clearly planned their outfits accordingly. The menu has a nice variety, so even if you're not fully committed to the theme, you'll find something that works. The onigiri (rice balls) were actually good--probably my favorite bite. Comfort food that does what it's supposed to do. The barbecue - just ok. Prices are higher, but that's kind of expected when you're paying for food and an experience. Street parking worked this day but lost hillier. All in, we had a good time, my son was happy, and I didn't leave grumbling about the food--which is a win. Four stars for the total experience. There were a few parties entering throughout the time that we were there, but it didn't get very busy. Really the hardest thing was finding a street parking spot, given the Little Tokyo location. Also FYI there are some shady areas at night a few blocks away from this (away from the action of LT), so may want to be careful where you park, especially coming with kids. We arrived in a Saturday by 6pm. The place wasn't packed but parking was hard to find. I ended up parking in the alley way where there are visitor parking spaces in the apartment complexes next to this place. We got here not too late but there weren't any pastries available. That's why I rated it four stars. I can't wait to come back and when I try the pastries I know it'll be a five star experience. The drinks were so good. I had the berry one and take my advice, don't drink it with a straw, use a spoon and scoop it out every time. It'll be the perfect balance of any dish there. The matcha horchata was great too. It was nice and cinnamony with no overwhelming matcha taste. I got the sando and omg it was good but just a little too savory. It would be perfect if it had some more lettuce but that's just my preference. It's a great sandwich but both pieces were cooked a bit differently as one was chewier than the other. The fries were so good. They resemble seasoned curly fries from Costco except better. Truly if the fries came with the curry as well it would a great combination. My partner had the curry and he liked it. He just mentioned that he would have loved more rice for the serving. For both entree and drinks we paid about $60. For any fan of the show I would recommend coming! It's so cute. The ambiance is clean and you'll feel like you're inside the thousand sunny! The staff is friendly too! I can't wait to come back and this time I want to try to the meat platter dish. I was scared the first time to try it since it's the most expensive on the menu but after loving three out of three things I know it will be something I won't regret! Very cool cafe with no wait on a Saturday evening. Staff was nice and the interior decorations were very cute. The merch was cool too. Ube horchata was a good balance of horchata and ube. This is such an awesome cafe! I had been wanting to come here ever since I seen it online, and I'm a huge fan of One Piece. I parked at the Japanese Village Plaza Parking Garage on 111 S Central Ave ($4 every 15 minutes or max of $20) and just walked here since it's not that far, and there's plenty of anime stores to check out on the way. The service was excellent and very attentive. The worker saw that my friend and I were taking photos, and he offered to help us with the photos! And he checked with us several times if the food was ok and if we needed anything else. We ordered the Zoro's Onigiri and Brook's Chicken Katsu Curry. The portions were big, and we were so full when we were done eating. They were flavorful. For drinks, we got Robins Flower-Flower Power Refresher and Jinbe's Ocean Burst Slushy. Very refreshing. Since this is a theme restaurant, the interior and merchandise are all One Piece related. The walls near the restroom and in the restroom are decorated with the wanted posters. Finally went here as my son wanted to try this restaurant for his birthday. We arrived around 4:30 on a Saturday so there was no line. Checked the menu out and chose the mighty meat platter, Sandi's yakisoba, Zoro's onigiri with tuna mayo and we ordered soda and a strawberry drink. If you're a fan I guess going here should be in your list. Like any themed restaurant at least you need to be satisfied with the ambiance and feel of the place and I think my son was and I took pictures of them they both like manga so they enjoyed the place. The meat platter was shared between me and my son - it was a huge portion but I wish I ordered the fried rice. The onigiri was good and I recommend ordering that if you're looking to just try out the place without spending too much. The portions are generally small (except for the pirate platter). We had to eat some sushi when we got back to the valley. When we left the place was packed so I suggest go in between meal times. read more

The food is pricey, you're also paying for the experience and the food is good! My kids and I are fans of One Piece. It was raining the day we came. It was busy and we had to wait outside before we ordered. I felt rushed ordering because of the long line behind us and people waiting outside in the rain. It would be helpful if there was a menu outside or a laminated menu could be offered while we stood in line with a tent covering or umbrella. It should say what items they are out of. It was hard finding a seat. We are a family of five and I was worried we wouldn't find a seat. The outside could be used and umbrellas and heaters for busier days. Possibly have one of the workers assist with seating. When we were there a couple sat at one of the biggest tables that could fit 8 people and there was only two of them. Families with little kids kept coming in and standing waiting for a seats to open up. The experience was immersive. if you like One Piece this place is great. There is a big Luffy statue and a screen behind with different characters popping up. Behind that area it shows other screens where it feels like you are below deck. In the front there are port holes with screens with different scenery. They DO NOT accept cash. Make sure you get your receipt when you order because we were missing two items. My wife was not given a receipt. Our order was on two kitchen print outs, they were able to find it, and we got our order. Service: There was a security guard on the outside. The cashier was friendly and answered questions we had. You order at the register and they give you a pager. You pick up the food at the counter. We ordered: - Baban's Pepper and Egg Fried Rice - Sanji "Diable Jambe" Chicken Katsu Sando - The Franky Burger and Fries - Brooks "Soul King" Chicken Katsu Curry - Mighty Meats Pirate Platter - Zoro's Nigiri: Tuna Mayo - Zoro's Match Horchata - Franks's Coke-A-Cola Ice cream float - Cotton Candy Sadly they did not have any of the assorted donuts for dessert. They had Icecream and cotton candy. You have to find street paid metered parking or a parking garage. We found street parking. Overall, the food was good. My kids were really happy to be there.
