We have been here several times and it's always lovely. Lisa is absolutely wonderful. She always remembers us and makes us feel special. The food is absolutely amazing and you can't go wrong with the Monday night dinner for 2! Summer is pretty quiet so I encourage everyone to come in for a wonderful Italian meal. We'll be back soon for family style Tuesday! Order steak rare-medium rare (or it will be over cooked. ...it continues to cook when off the grill. I recommend the Sterling, Pinot Noir! That said, the ravioli special could have included 2 more without breaking the bank. The portion was tiny compared to the steak dinner.

Simi Valley's local favorite Italian place. It's cozy, the restaurant features special menus, they have Italian classic dishes and the staff is always friendly. Food is always good, and the pricing is reasonable. I love coming back here.

Had dinner here last night with my grammy, it was so so so good! I ordered the linguini and clams, with a Cesar salad for an appetizer. The food was so good, mouthwatering! The bread that they give you is so fluffy! I also got a glass of Pinot Grigio! Such a great dinner and well priced! You definitely get what you paid for!! The service was pretty fast, although they will not serve your food unless everyone is finished with their appetizers and they take your plate first! The ambiance is very fancy, dark lighting and tea light candles! Perfect place for a little date night!

Beto's is a great place to catch up with friends or a romantic dinner. The inside is beautifully decorated with soft music playing in the background. The food is always delicious and the staff is very attentive. This visit I started with a glass of red wine ($5 Happy Hour) and my favorite meat lasagna for dinner. My friend had the chicken piccata, which she said was delicious. The staff checked on us through our dinner and gave us a chance to catch up. Let's not forget the delicious desserts. My favorite is the cannoli. My friend enjoyed the crème brûlée.

Is this place good for romantic dinners or date night?

I think so. We sat outside. We brought our own wine. It was nice. Food was good. And the prices fair. I would go back for anniversary or something.

    Are dogs allowed outside?

This isn't a place to bring dogs.

Tables were pretty close to each other but I don't think this was harmful to the experience at all just a thought. They had Christmas decorations still up. Food: We ordered the Calamari Fritti, the calamari was underseasoned but well fried and the shrimp that came with it was well seasoned but only came with 4 pieces. The pesto aioli that came with it was very tasty. Alfredo sauce in the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo was strong and its high fat content added a lot of body to it, very garlicky and American, but be warned it was very salty! The pasta was pretty overcooked. The Chicken Parmesan was well seasoned and quite a large portion, we chose to sub the mashed potatoes it comes with for a side of spaghetti (highly recommend for $4 extra). The spaghetti was a little undercooked but luckily the heat of the dish and rest of the food allowed it to get a little better as we ate. Service: We had called in and made a reservation ahead of time to make sure we could get a table. We got to the restaurant 10 minutes before our reservation and the host had somehow already crossed out my name, although that happened, they still had a table ready for us and we were seated within about a minute. The overall vibe that we got from our server was a little odd. She checked on us sporadically and it just felt that we were getting treated a little differently than others. With that being said, the bus boy was extremely professional and helpful. He brought out our food in a clean and calm manner. He was easier to get a hold of compared to our server and it felt that he was always willing and wanting to help.

The Food 5/5 As someone who follows a gluten-free diet, I had always avoided pasta restaurants, assuming options would be limited. I was thrilled to find an excellent gluten-free menu! I ordered the Salmon with Asparagus Pesto and a side salad. Both were absolutely delicious, the salad dressing is clearly homemade and very flavorful. My husband loved his Carbonara with Angel Hair, and our friends both enjoyed the Salmon Salad with asparagus and artichoke. We shared the Crème Brûlée to finish the night, and it was exceptional. The only downside was the service. Our waiter seemed a bit impatient from the start. Once our entrees were served, we didn't see him again until the very end of the meal. We all wanted a second glass of wine, but were never offered one, and our water glasses remained empty the entire time. It was a slow night, so the lack of attention was a bit surprising. The kitchen is doing everything right! The food is high-quality and safe for those with dietary restrictions. I will definitely be back for the salmon, and I'm hopeful that the service will be a bit more attentive on our next visit.

Absolutely terrible experience and some of the worst customer service I have ever encountered…read more We were planning my grandmother's 100th birthday celebration with approximately 50 guests. We met with Maria multiple times, visited the restaurant on three separate occasions, and were told we had a private patio room reserved for the event. Based on those assurances, our family moved forward with planning a once-in-a-lifetime celebration. Then, only a month before the event, we were suddenly told they could no longer accommodate us because it was a "busy hour." How do you tell a family they have a private space reserved for a 100th birthday, allow them to spend months planning around it, and then pull the rug out from under them at the last minute? This wasn't a casual dinner reservation--it was a milestone celebration that can never be recreated. What makes this even more disappointing is that my grandmother immigrated from Italy at 13 years old and specifically wanted to celebrate her 100th birthday here. That opportunity has now been taken away because management apparently decided that maximizing revenue during a busy time was more important than honoring a commitment they had already made. The ownership and management should be embarrassed by how this was handled. If they were unable or unwilling to host the event, they should have been honest from the beginning instead of leading us on for months. Their lack of professionalism, communication, and basic respect for customers turned what should have been a joyful family celebration into a stressful scramble to find another venue. If you're considering this restaurant for an important event, be aware that even after multiple meetings and what you believe is a confirmed arrangement, they may decide to cancel when it becomes more convenient for them. Our family will never trust this establishment again.

The food was awful, some poor excuse of a dry salad, microwaved pizza, and look at my photo of the chicken, did they boil it or something? What the heck kind of chicken looks like this? The service was mediocre, our waitress had an uninviting presence, no smile and looked upset. I get nobody wants to be at work but man I did not feel welcomed. I didn't like the antipasto toppings separated by topping. I like everything chopped and tossed together. I like to have a little bit of everything in one bite. Even after tossing the salad I still got a bunch of olives in one bite and red onions in another. The dressing was a little vinegar forward and caused me to cough. Pizza was okay. Nice thin crust. Not too doughy but also not a thin crispy crust. There was no cheese pull and maybe 1-2 pepperoni per slice. Our server was a decent server but not overly warm or friendly. She checked on us once or twice but very minimal. My salad plate and salad bowl was never picked up. She never asked if we wanted more water. The restaurant looks pretty dated. The booth we sat in was a teeter totter. Two girls sat on one side and as I slide in the bench went up. When my friend got up I wasn't prepared and I sank to the floor. My friend said the lights were the same ones she had in her trailer (50 years ago). We were there until 8:30 and didn't realize they closed at 8pm. A weird time to close but it is Simi Valley. I guess everything closes early like Mayberry. That's an old tv show reference to Andy Griffith Show for you young kids. It was nice they didn't kick us out but they did turn on all the lights and start wiping down tables so we got the hint.

Although the ambiance is a basic order at the cashier and pick-up, the pizza here is anything but ordinary. Whether it is New York, Detroit, Sicilian, or grandma style dough, it is expertly fermented, resulting in a crust that strikes that perfect balance between crisp and tender. It has just the right amount of chew, and a subtle depth of flavor that speaks to pure craft and technique. The crust is the foundation, and it just gets better and builds from here. The sauce! I can drink it up as it has all the right notes of sweet, tangy and flavor. The toppings feel intentionally selected for both quality and compatibility. Nothing is excessive, nothing is lacking; every component is beautifully balanced. Whether it's the brightness of fresh herbs, the richness of meats, qualty cheese, or the perfectly seasoned sauce, everything works in unison. We ordered the Hot Honey, Wiseguy, and Rosa. Each bite is indulgent and satisfying. You can taste the influence of a skilled chef in every detail, from the texture and flavor development of the crust to the thoughtful building of toppings and finishing touches. This is the kind of pizza that redefines expectations. It goes beyond comfort food and enters the level of an indulgent culinary experience. We also had an order of the meatballs to start; it was moist, flavorful, and indulgent. The meatballs were drownng in the sauce, which served as a great way to savor the remaining crust. They serve wine and beer which further elevates the experience, and really, there is no excuse to have pizza anywhere else!
