Disclaimer: rarely 5 stars, as there is always room for improvement. I've been eyeing this place for quite some time because I'm always looking for Greek/med food. I was finally able to try it this past week. The restaurant itself is in a mini-mall outside downtown Prescott in an area I'd never been before. Parking is ample and it's rather nondescript from the outside. Interior is clean with a large family table in the center as well as wall counter seating. I suspect more of their clientele takes out versus sit down, but there are table options. The menu is fairly large with the traditional Greek basics. I ordered the mixed grill dinner which included lamb/beef gyro, chicken and kefta (ground beef) on a bed of basmati rice. I upcharged to hummus in lieu of salad and because I absolutely LOVE hummus and could make a meal of just it and pita! My friend had the kefta sandwich and a side of garlic fries. The dinner was an incredibly sized portion of meat, grilled onions and grilled tomato. I don't eat tomatoes, but I ate these. Everything was well seasoned and tender. Too many times I've had dry skewers and the meat was tasty. I ordered additional pita which came out warm and seasoned as well. The tzatziki was the perfect accompaniment. The owner makes everything from scratch and mentioned they do a lot of catering as well. She has owned several restaurants in the Verde Valley the past 15-20 years and runs this with her husband. I'm such a fan of family owned businesses! My meal was two meals and actually tasted awesome the next day when the flavors all melded. The highlight was the dessert...homemade baklava. OMG. This stuff was a small brick of honey/pitashio/crunch goodness. I don't have a pic because I ate it later and forgot but do NOT sleep on this treat. This is a great "don't judge a book by the cover" eatery. Food is authentic...owners are great and it's worth taking the beaten path to get to. Only wish they had tabouli salad and my meal would've been complete! read more

I was excited to try this restaurant because I love Greek food. The meat was dry, I tried chicken and gyro. The man was grouchy and rude. He tossed the food carelessly into the container. The rice was very dried out...so disappointing. I told him that the prices online are very different than posted in the restaurant. He got angry and put out saying he has no control over that. It was not a pleasant experience and I will spare his attitude and not return. read more

Well, I usually only write positive reviews, but I feel compelled to share my negative experience at Greek On with the community. First and foremost, the dark-haired gentleman who I suspect is the owner was incredibly unfriendly and unpersonable. I initially thought he might have had a bad day, but that didn't make it any better. I ordered a Greek chicken sandwich with a side of baba ghanoush, while my friend opted for a falafel sandwich. When I opened the wrapper, everything looked fine, so I took a bite. To my dismay, the chicken was as hard as leather and had absolutely no flavor. I even tried to rip it apart with my fingers, but it was impossible. I tried the other pieces of chicken, but they were just as bad. The chicken was devoid of any seasoning, and the tzatziki sauce tasted like plain yogurt. I couldn't bring myself to eat another bite. To make matters worse, my friend went to use a squeeze bottle of ketchup that was on the table (since they didn't have any sriracha or hot sauce). To our surprise, a bunch of dead ants came out with some vinegar! Good thing he didn't shake the bottle first, or we might have missed the ants. (See the picture and zoom in.) At that point, we both threw away our food. My friend informed the owner about the ants and showed him, but he didn't seem to be very concerned and simply walked away. I really wanted to love this place. We love Greek food, had an amazing place in Australia that we frequented a lot and also a favorite in the town we live in here in Arizona. They both set the bar pretty high and this one didn't reach it. The worker at the counter was nice and efficient and got our food out to us quickly. The front area is clean and pleasing, with a table or two, plus some places to sit while we waited for our food. We ordered a combo meat salad and a combo meat dinner platter. Plus an order of spanakopita. The bag was pretty heavy, so we were excited to get to our air bnb and dig in. Both entrees had very little gyro or chicken meat in them. One was mostly rice and the other mostly romaine lettuce with a couple tomato and cucumber chunks. The little meat we had wasn't seasoned much at all. The appetizer had a flaky crust and lots of spinach, but lacked seasoning. For the cost, we probably won't be back. read more

So my boss called in an order. 2 Gyro sandwiches, $11.85 each Side of.falafel 10.95. =$34.2 + tax 3.18 $37.38 He charged us $40.6. I gave him $50 got $8 or $9 And gave him this tip I didn't see the prices as my boss had done the order. When I got back, my boss says you've been overcharged. Ironically, the Greek on owner already figured in the tip to get $40.60 ... I didn't realize that.. So I got overcharged and I overpaid. I work at a hospital in a critical care setting so we were starving as we had not stopped. After this, I will not go back there. Plus my boss is Greek and he thought it was so so meal anyways. :-( read more

I like Kal. He's been making my belly happy since the Prescott Valley days. Like me, he's from back east. We know food. Always a fun smile. Survived the covid restaurant days... they brought it out to the cars in PV. Guess he's the only one in the kitchen these days. I moved to Chino, the few times I'm in town, and I can use a great lunch sandwich, I cruise on over towards the Goodwill on Iron Mountain, and breeze in to Greek On to ask Kal for a couple of takeouts. Happen to be driving by the area of this restaurant on iron Springs Road. Decided to stop with my friend and have lunch. We walked in and it's a small place understandably, but there were absolutely no tables inside. So you cannot go in there and sit down to eat. There were two small little tables outside and so we chose to sit at one of those. We were having a late lunch so didn't want to eat a great amount so we just ordered sides of gyro meat and pita bread with tzatziki. The portion size was nice. My only disappointment was that the Gyro meat was not mixed with any tomatoes or onions, but I should've asked about that and ordered it that way. I saw they had spanakopita on their menu and I'm definitely going back to try that as it's one of my favorite Greek dishes, as I mentioned, I definitely would go back, but I would get the food to go and take it home., instead of sitting on a sidewalk area in a strip mall. read more

I've been here 1/2 dozen times, I'd say it's usually at a 4 star level for me. Last week I was feeling a little extra hungry, and instead of a single gyro I was going to step up to the Gyro Plate. The regular gyro here has been loaded with meat in the past so the gyro plate ($4.50 more than a gyro) must come with a little more right? That's at least been my experience at every other Greek restaurant I've been to. Unfortunately not the case on my visit. There was MAYBE the same amount of gyro meat that the gyro usually comes with, and that might be pushing it. The meal came with jasmine rice and a tiny side salad which you can add feta and olives for $2.29, eh not really worth it. After tip I was out the door for over $20.00 and I really wish I just bought 2 gyros. The food was fresh and worth eating, I don't feel I quite got my moneys worth though. I've stopped by for lunch several times. The business is a to-go and catering only with no dine in. The waiting area is comfortable with Greek posters and videos playing. The owner is friendly and puts the food together in a reasonable time. I love their gyro sandwich and always get that. The meat and fillings are fresh and tasty, served in a soft pita. read more

Went here for the second time today and food was great again. There was a little confusion as my order was picked up by someone else but they were very gracious and immediately made it right. I really wanted to be highly satisfied by Greek On. They are located close to my house, and it's nice to have some good Greek food every now and then. Unfortunately they fell a bit short of our expectations. We ordered a mixed combo and a chicken combo, and had one of the salads upgraded to a Greek salad. It's take out only and when we got home the take out trays had a good weight to them so we were getting excited to enjoy a good meal. We started with the salads which were just ok. Then began eating the entrees, which had the meats served over a bed of rice. Once we started eating the meat items it became clear that we received VERY small portions of meat strategically placed over a very huge serving of rice. The prices at Greek On are not particularly low, so we were expecting much more meat than we were provided, and less rice. The ratio of rice to meat was laughably high. I've honestly never seen such an enormous serving of rice. I'm a very large man, but I could barely make a dent in the serving of rice I received. My wife ended up throwing away probably 80% of her rice and I threw away easily more than half of mine. No wonder the takeout trays were so heavy! They were almost all rice and very little protein. So even though we were full on rice we were completely disappointed with value we received. We'll be looking elsewhere the next time we get a craving for Greek food! read more

We have been here twice in the last 3.5 years. The guy was super rude 3.5 years ago and food was just ok. We tried again tonight. Kal (name on receipt) was rude again and the food was just ok again. The hummus was missing an ingredient or two. Disappointed. read more

This food is AMAZING! I am gluten-free so I always get the gyro plate because the salad, rice, plus gyro meat is SO fantastic. No worries if you can't eat the pita (even though it looks incredible!) there are plenty of other GF options to choose from. Deeeeelicious! Holy smokes! The gyros! My gal and I dropped in for the first time today to check this hole in the wall out... man oh manischewitz are we glad we did! The babaganoush, the hummous, the gyros were all very tasty. That gyro was packed with meat! The vegetables were fresh and the tzatziki sauce plenty delicious. Nice soft pita... warm... mmmmmmmm! It's tucked away in the Goodwill shopping center next to Waffles and More with plenty of parking. The restaurant was very clean and the owner nice and funny and sure knows a good gyro! I'm traditional gyro guy, lamb and beef, but I plan to try the chicken gyro. They have a nice appetizer menu that'll get worked, as well. It's a simple straightforward menu. Easy to read. Nice. Oh! I almost forgot the fries! Crinkle cut hot and fresh! It was a surprise to see on the menu... a nice surprise. I dunno what else to say except... yeah... if ya like a good gyro, give these folks a try. No regrets here! read more

I don't post Many reviews on here. This deserves one. I have been meaning to try this place for about a year and today I finally did. I had read some of the reviews, good and bad. This is my experience. The lobby looked very nice and clean. Not sure what that other reviewer was talking about. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. Now the food. I got the garlic chicken sandwich spicy. Wow what great flavor. It was packed with chicken. I wish I would've taken a picture, but I devoured that thing right when I opened it up. The hot sauce was not too much, it was there but didn't take over the sandwich. The tzatziki helped to cool it all down. Great sandwich!! I also got an order of the spicy garlic fries. The spice on both the chicken sandwich and fries was not over powering. I would say it was about as hot as a Medium buffalo wing. Great flavor! Whatever spice they put on the fries is delicious. I would suggest maybe putting a dish together like Greek nacho fries. Add the chicken to the spice garlic fries with the hot sauce and tzatziki and Feta on top. Anywho, this is getting long winded. Over all was a delicious lunch and I will definitely be going back as much as possible. read more

I've eaten Greek On's food for the last several years and generally the gyro's are decent. Lately and particularly yesterday the food was entirely disgusting. Ends of the tomato used on the gyro, no slices. No slices of gyro meat, just burned, greasy, gross bits of meat. Were you too lazy to cut more meat? In the past you would have a stuffed sandwich with slices of meat. Now it's about half the amount but nothing but greasy bits of meat now. I will never eat at this restaurant again. Gyro meat was good. Pita bread was plain and store bought. The chicken was decent. Would have been better if it was in smaller pieces. Hummus was good. They had no tahini sauce which would have really made everything better. Probably won't go back. read more

The management (assuming he's the owner) is incredibly personable and accommodating. I'm basing this low(er) review on 2 things - both of which I think can be changed. I believe they only recently opened at it is just a crazy difficult time for restaurants. I do however thing that having a few tables in the wide open space they have would make an abundance of difference - I know it would have in my review. We wouldn't have even stayed if it weren't for the ability to eat on the patio at there bar next door (Windsock). They allow you to do so as long as you purchase a beverage from them. Fortunately the weather also allowed this. Greek On will even deliver your food out to Windsock's patio for you. Now, for the food itself ... my husband liked the Gyro more than I did. It was good, but I've had better - even from the Gyro place in Arrowhead Mall. Neither of us cared for the Greek fries. They were nothing more than Kringle fries with oregano, dry cheese and some type of red seasoning. They were very dry - definitely had better. The food did come out quickly. Again, being that the place appears to be new, and the challenges restaurants are facing, we will certainly be giving this place another shot. I LOVE Greek food and look forward to coming back to try more items! read more

Overpriced for what it is and food is under seasoned in my opinion. I got the Greek chicken sandwich and fiancé got a gyro. Overall: Meh.

Great food, portions are enough to share. Always get the baklava! You can save it for breakfast.
