Nice soothing atmosphere with clean private rooms and prices are reasonable as the deep tissue massage for one hour was about 60 bucks and the lady was non stop working on my aching back , etc. They also do skin care and other types of body conturing. Ever look in the mirror and think, "God, when did I get so old?" After having one of those moments, I impulse booked a hydradermabrasion facial here at Green Aura Spa. Though the site showed that they had no availability on this date I called and was able to be fit in that same day. The receptionist mentioned that my esthetician Rebecca had a language barrier, but she and I got on perfectly fine during my hour long service. She started with cleansing and steaming my face, then got to work using the microdermabrasion and hydration tools which felt like a small suction running up and down my face. I'd never had any type of dermabrasion done to my face before and was a little nervous about how uncomfortable it would feel, but the facial was virtually painless. My skin was feeling a little hot after the treatment, but luckily the next step was a cooling facial mask that smelled kind of like eucalyptus. Rebecca massaged my arms and neck while I had this on, which was my favorite part of the facial. She applied some cream as a finish at the end, and when I looked at my face again my skin looked notably less dull. My blackheads were no longer so visible, and even my pores seemed tighter. This facial was on the pricier side, but I was happy to learn that they have more inexpensive options like the glow and go facial - just $65. The spa itself is beautiful and brand new. It's a relaxing atmosphere which is hard to cultivate when you're stepping in off busy Steinway street. I will absolutely be back. read more

The treatments are absolutely fine. The space is pretty albeit a bit noisy as the walls seem thin. But when i checked out at my first visit they sold me on a spa package (facial + derma planning + red light + head massage) which we booked right then and there. It was at a set price and advertised on their monthly specials. I came in for the treatments and they were also fine but when i checked out the amount charged seemed higher than i remembered. i asked the counterperson if i was getting the package price and they said yes. I went home and checked their promo post.. i had been overcharged $75. So i called.. they apologized for the simple mistake and said they would refund me promptly.. only they didn't. I called again and same story. Then i started receiving marketing calls from them to ask me to book again.. every time i asked about my refund and was told "oh yes we will process that now"... it's been over 5 months.. read more

The front desk was friendly and helpful. The esthetician was knowledgeable and friendly and efficient. She asked questions to ensure my facial was targeting my problem areas. Paid $120 for a "Sports Massage," yet wasn't communicated with about any of the issues going on with my back. The masseuse didn't say a word the entire time nor asked about which parts needed tending to. Pro: Massage wasn't bad but not special. Cons: No communication when this was supposed to be a specialized massage. Was not a sports massage. Could have got the massage for $50 down the street. Advice: get the basic package here. This place is not only beautiful and clean the staff makes you feel relaxed and are knowledge. I had a facial done by Lynn and she taught me alot on how to take better care of my skin. I did a massage with Evelyn and it was relaxing and the right amount of pressure. She concentrated on my neck which is my problem area left feeling new . After I was given a tour of the facility and learned and the other packages available. Can't wait to return . This is a hidden gem in Astoria. I felt like a took a trip to relaxation town . There is no reason to spend 120 for a massage here when you can get a massage for 40 on basically any block in Astoria. When I asked if the masseuses were licensed massage therapists, the owner moved mountains to not answer the question and implied I was racist for asking. This is funny bc I never saw my masseuse. I was facedown on the table and when I flipped a cloth was put over my eyes. Ryan Reynolds could've been massaging me for all I know. The only interaction was at the end when the person said "thank you" and then left the room. Today my back is sore in the middle by my spine. Do not go here.
