Went with a group of friends a while ago. Foods and services were great, love the environment. Especially the employees were welcoming as well.

I was craving Chinese food, and Green Bites Restaurant popped up as a recommendation. At first glance, I thought it was a vegan spot (probably because of the name), but it's not! Brampton isn't usually the first place that comes to mind when you're in the mood for Chinese food, but since we were going to be in the area, we decided to give it a shot--and I'm so glad we did. The moment we walked in, the appetizing aroma hit us, setting the tone for what would be a fantastic dining experience. The restaurant is cozy and well-lit, with a welcoming ambiance. The servers were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall positive vibe. We started with soup, which was absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. The highlight for me, though, was the Pad Thai--it's probably among the best I've had in the GTA. The dumplings (ordered soup dumplings with pork and steamed beef dumplings)? They were so good we were tempted to order a second round (couldn't because we were so full). The best part? It's all quite reasonably priced! We'll absolutely be returning. Highly recommended.

I've been here a few times now. First and second time were really good. Amazing dumplings! Great chicken, whether it's chicken wings or popcorn chicken. Even the fried squid was great. Last time I went they seemed incredibly busy. The dumplings were still good but seemed lacking somewhat. The popcorn chicken and other items were bland compared to last time and the portions seemed smaller. Still highly recommended. I hope next time I go there it will be amazing again.

A recent wing experience reminded me to write about the best ones that I had in the GTA. This shout out goes to Green Bites! Don't judge a book by its cover. In this case, don't be fooled by its title as a dumpling & tea bar restaurant as the chef owner knows how to make some fantastic Asian-style wings! What's special about Green Bites' wings, you ask? The chicken basket comes topped in assorted colours from the garnishes. Not only are the wings perfectly fried in a light HK-style egg batter, it is also garnished with jalapeño, red pepper, onion and basil for a little kick & aroma. Crispy, well-seasoned & all-around delightful. It's the must-order item. We dined in the outdoor patio, and ordered several of their popular dumplings as well. We weren't able to order their coloured varieties due to the limited menu for the day. Plenty of filling were in the handmade Pork and Shrimp-Vegetable Dumplings. Not spectacular but they arrived alongside house 'dragon' sauce (chillies, soy sauce & vinegar) for extra flavour. Green Bites even operates as a tea bar, if you are into the Asian tea tradition. We couldn't quite pin down a specific region for the food flavour as there seemed to be many influences. The restaurant is a little out of the way in a corner of Brampton. If you happen to be in town, it's worth coming by for a bite.

Love. Love. Love, this cute little place -- Quality is all fresh, steamy and hot, plate after plate. Nothings I've tried here is bad. Flavors are all on point. Sesame Wings, Singapore Style Rice Noodles, Steam Veggie Wrap Dumplings, Dragon Well Green Tea, Crispy Spicy Chicken, Squids, Veggie Tempura, etc.., I can go on and on. Service also mirrors the quality of the food. Would always come back.

Hands down one of the best places to get Chinese cuisine in the GTA. I saw many good reviews about this restaurant so my partner and I decided to give it a try. It's a very small cozy restaurant with friendly staff. My partner and I ordered the pork and shrimp dumplings in a steamed veggie wrap, chicken chowmein noodles, chicken wings, and honey sesame chicken. ORDER THE WINGS. It literally says on the menu 'Must Order' because they are absolutely delicious. They come fresh out of the fryer to your table, super juicy, and just the right amount of seasoning! I wasn't expecting much from the noodles but I was pleasantly surprised by the hints of smokiness from it! The honey sesame chicken was also great! The batter is a bit thick but super crispy and pairs nicely with the sauce. We tried the dumplings last and they were a little underwhelming just because of how impressed we were by the previous menu items. However, we still enjoyed them. Overall, it was a great dinner! The staff are friendly but don't come around often to check on the food or fill waters. Other than that, I'd definitely recommend this place if you're craving some good Chinese food!

I have flagged visiting Green Bites Dumpling and Tea Bar for what seems to be eons. I love dumplings! I recently did a staycation in Brampton. After work, I decided to order takeout from Skip the Dishes. The process was easy. The plaza's parking lot was pretty full when I got there. I nabbed the last available spot and walked over. There were two folks at a table at around 5 pm. I walked over and said that I had an order. The woman didn't come across as being warm. She asked for my order ID. That was different and a first for me. Considering that my order was the only takeout one there and that I'm the only Mary around, I found it odd. She eventually decided to drop the request. That's not my style if you make such an odd request. I pulled out my app and showed her the ID to make her day. I got my food. Karma is fun, though. I spent some time taking photos of the place. She looked puzzled at first, but didn't say a word. The interior is quaint and nice. I was pleased and left. I had my food in my hotel room. I ordered chicken Shanghai noodles, for I was in noodle mode. I also got steamed pork and shrimp dumplings. You pay more if you want your dumplings pan-fried. The chicken was tender in the Shanghai noodles. The noodles were chewy, which I loved. The veggies were crisp and I liked the taste. The downfall was that the dish was oily. I may need to make a note to have them use less oil. The steamed pork and shrimp dumplings were amazing! Dumplings are on the pricier side, but do shell out. It's worth it! I was not expecting a whole shrimp in each dumpling. Each dumpling was delicious and heavenly. I need to make a note to simply order dumplings here. I'd come back to either give dining in a try or pick up more delicious food. (483)

Great food and service! Honestly this place has the absolute best wings in Brampton. Don't sleep on the veggie tempura either. The employees are always so sweet and sometimes write a cute little thank you on take out bags. Highly recommend!

There are multiple parts to my experience at Green Bites. Past. Present. Future. TL:DR - place is cool and I got to relive part of my life! Past. Many years ago, I was introduced to "real" Chinese cuisine. Not the sweet and sour chicken balls, and fried rice bits that was prevalent "back in the day." After breaking me off the Panda Express type food, my friend told me it was time to have DimSum. She also told me that it was called YumCha - Drink Tea. I remember the story of how people would order tea and a basket of dumpling and spend the morning listening to their canaries. Though we never did a pure YumCha, we did do lots of DimSum! :D Present. I got to try YumCha at the most peculiar place! Brampton. Go figure!!! I've been on a bit of tear lately travelling Toronto and the GTA trying food from all over the world. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Tibetan, Indian, Pub, Gastrobar... and so on. My new passion is finding little gems and Yelp about it! Today I am Yelping about Green Bites Dumpling & Tea Bar! Located in a large plaza complex, parking is abundant and I did not expect much from the outside. Then again, never judge a book by its cover. Step inside and be greeted by wonderful decor, comfortable seating, and friendly staff. Green Bites is a family owned business. The type that you want to support because they really want to bring the best experience to everyone that steps through their door. Chef David prepares a wide variety of meals with Southern and Northern Chinese influences. Chef David's has a passion for tea as well. He has travelled to China to direct source the best variety of organic loose-leaf teas. Definitely not your tea-bag variety from a local "mermaid" coffee shop. I really enjoyed sipping tea and having a few different dumplings. I also enjoyed their tasty hot and sour soup too! If you are in a rush, they do have lunch specials and a definite must-try is there LA-style crispy Chicken Wing. OMG! DroolZ! Future. I, for one, would love for them to have opened in Richmond Hill. I would be there so often...they would have to adopt me! :) I have two clients out near their restaurant. I'm just waiting for a call from them so I can make my way out and enjoy more selections from their menu - and drink more tea. OR...I'm just going to have to make a day of it by heading out there on a weekend. :D Those of my readers and followers know that if any place hits the Foodie Trifecta (Great Food, Great Service, Great Value) it's an automatic highly coveted PeterM 5-Star! Oh...one more thing, if you want to know more about their food and how to prepare some on your own. They hold Dumpling Workshops! I'm hoping to find out when the next one will be...it will be so worth it! CHEERS!!!

    10pc chicken wings

The food was good didn't take too long considering everything is made to order, I had the BBQ pork fried rice with shrimp and wings (shrimp added on for $2) The rice was nice, not too salty and good amount of shrimp & pork The wings were nice and crispy, not burnt or undercooked Staff was patient and service was good Overall I would go back again.

An amazing authentic Chinese food place & tea bar in Brampton. Just the restaurant Bramption was in need of. As a vegan, vegetarian you have endless options here. I loved the noodles, lemon soy chicken, veggie dumplings with dragon sauce, soy chicken egg, vegetable tempura had an amazing basil flavour with made them just unique and so delicious. From the regular menu my husband loved their chicken noodles, sweet and sour chicken, shrimp vegetables, tempura, egg soup and a lot of endless selection. Now the tea, where to get started from... well Jasmine tea made from fresh flower buds, green-tea just perfectly brewed to my taste, oolong was my favourite of all. It was so aromatic that I could stop getting it refilled. Zero acidity, zero bitterness but 100 % flavours of freshness . I bought some loose leaves for home. So this is my new to go spot of Chinese place in Brampton.

New discovery in Brampton! When you think about authentic chinese food, Brampton is not usually where you would look. You think more east end: Richmond Hill/Markham/ Scarborough etc. But lucky for us west enders! There is an authentic dumpling place hidden in a plaza in Brampton! This family owned business makes great dumplings from scratch. And their crispy chicken wings are delicious. Makes me drool just thinking about it! If you are a tea person and you love chinese tea, they source their tea directly from china! I was in love with their oolong tea! Apart from all that, if you work in the area, they have great lunch special combos too! Give it a try! Oh! One more thing, they host dumpling workshops if you ever want to try and make your own. More info on their website!

Jenny made everything so smooth from ordering, to our requests and up until we finished up paid the bill. She was patient and kind which is what you need when being this busy. As for the food, well it's normal Congee Queen consistency. Normally good, maybe sometimes a little salty but nothing outstanding. Overall good for the price.

It is a nice local spot to get your Chinese food cravings fixed. Their menu seems to be the same for all locations, the only difference being the price, all locations potentially the same other than the downtown location. See their website: https://www.congeequeen.com/menu.php and select your location. It has been a while since we have eaten at the Congee Queen outside of the Toronto (Dundas/Yonge) location, so we were a bit surprised at the price difference (8-10% difference). This location (Heartland Town Center) feels like it has the right price for the menu. With cash, you also get a 10% discount. We were here on a Wednesday for an early dinner around 15:30 - 17:00 and it was about medium full for the main area. People were coming and going at a good pace. For our group of four, we ordered: - B3 Salmon Congee $11 ($12 downtown) - H11 Chicken Salted Fish Fried Rice $18.25 ($19.75 downtown) - K34 Fried Bean Curd with Veggie $19.50 ($21.50 downtown) - K42 Salt and Pepper Squid $16.50 ($18.25 downtown) - K53 Fried Chili Turnip Cakes $13.75 ($15.00 downtown) Service was a bit slow, but not the longest as there were only 2-3 staff taking orders that day for about 15-20 tables. If you signaled for assistance, they will come. Once ordered thought, the food came out in about 5 mins and all the dishes were ready soon after. Tea is refilled on request, just ask. As usual, the fried rice and congee is what they are known for, it was excellent as usual. Depending on the group you go with, YMMV, but for our order combination, this usually works comes out at the same time and everything is hot and tasty. The turnip cakes are the softer type and they even accommodated checking for shrimp. They are usually good about seafood checks. All in all, great experience. With the discount and tips all in, it was less than $100 total at $25 per person. It has been a while since we've eaten out with a group at that price point. Will keep in mind to meetup at any of the non downtown locations in future.
