Got the smash burger. Outstanding. Bun was perfect, moist, potato style but not the cheap kind you get from a store. Meat was juicy, flavorful, and hot! The onions were pressed in, Oklahoma style and they were a great flavor boost. Cheese was super melty and American Cheese, the way it should be on a smash burger. I got the high point Swim Test, good beer/great price. 5/5 experience, clean, polite, fast, quality food. For a burger combo, a high point beer, upgraded to tots and extra cheese dip being the price it was, this place is a gem. I really shouldn't be sharing this because I don't want it to get too popular, BUT this is the best location yet! Great beer and good eats. Our favorite is still their classic Smash Burger. Only thing is the French fries aren't as good as the Costa Mesa location (sad because I judge all restaurants based on their fries). Ocean views from the top deck with the same great food and drinks as the other locations. This one is still DOG FRIENDLY on the patio. Parking is limited in the lot but there is lots of street parking near by. You could also easily bike down the beach to this location as well. We've already been twice and will be back many more times to this location. read more

A great place to bring our dog after a couple hours at the dog beach. We hung out on the patio, which was cool as long as we were next to the heater (1of 1 working). Makes for a nice evening enjoying their beer &Sunset Beach area vibes. read more

Horrible customer service!! I really hope the manager reads this so they are aware of their rude employees. I wanted a burger but I don't eat meat so they have a "make it vegan" option which is $0.50 more. So when I ordered the burger & asked for the vegan option- Kayla who rang me up said the only option on her computer was "sub patty" which was $5.00 more when it clearly states on the menu it's $0.50 more to make it vegan so when I asked her why she was gonna charge me $5 she gave me an attitude and proceeded to finish the transaction So I was over charged and she didn't even bother apologizing to me since she was in the wrong and made the mistake of overcharging me. We had a menu at our table cuz we wanted to order more stuff and a guy (wish I got his name) came to our table and pointed to the menu and rudely said "u done with that!" and just grabbed the menu. Apparently they need to order more menus. They have great beers, but unfortunately their service doesn't match. Coming from working in management In customer service, I definitely won't be returning to this location due to their lack of care for customers. Very disappointing to say the least. read more

Been seeing this place as I drive to Goldenroad frequently. Finally got a chance the other day to try it out. Love the set up they have. If it wasn't cold and rainy I would've gone up on the patio (great in the summer I bet). Food was amazing. The burger is a must have and so is the pretzel. It's huge and the cheese is bomb. Loved the beer but felt like they had a lot of Double and Triple IPAs and not many hazy or normal IPAs and pales. Still loved the beer, just hope for a little more variety my next stop in. Went here with friends last night. I used to go here when it was Harry's... loved their burritos! We chose to try Green Cheeks because of their craft beer, the outdoor patio, and ease of parking. What a great surprise that the food is actually decent, and the beer is quite good! So you have good food, very good beer, good service, wonderful ambiance, all for a reasonable price. The food is great, but me and my friends went in and the ginger cashier got mad at us for the fact of not paying all together. Also he said Jesus under his breath Judging us and had a really terrible demeanor. Hopefully he can learn that he is a cashier and should not be having an attitude like that. read more

MEH...have eaten here many times, was excited to have a great burger and beer joint in the area but too often they close early, turn off the grill early (even when we called ahead to see if we could still order and arrived in time), throw out attitude, but the kicker for me is their meat seems to always be burnt. I don't mean crunchy around the edges, I mean black/burnt. When I have to wait in line to order, pick up all my own utensils, go back up to pick up my food, I'm really over it if I have to go back up and wait to return my burnt meal. It happens most every time lately, maybe I missed the memo that "burned meat is yummy" but not for me. In reading through the reviews this seems to be a common issue...why the BURNT FOOD Green Cheek?? My last meal was not only burnt but missing the lettuce and tomato. For the price, it should be a bit bigger and properly cooked. They also changed their fries not too long ago, what used to be sublimely battered fries which when paired with the Lavender Lemonade and ocean breezes was so awesome that I could choke down the burnt, but no more battered fries and now I'm not feeling it anymore! Had a great time. Really nice vibe. Ocean view patio with top shelf craft beers. Not sure about the names of the beers, but they sure tasted good and the light lavender lemonade seltzer was a hit for those who don't like beer. The smashburgers are super tasty and had double patties which was a nice surprise. Went there opening weekend and the place is a winner. Lots of people getting food, drinks, AND drinks to go. We went with a group of 5 on the first sunny Saturday of June (it's been May gray up til then) so it was pretty busy. This place is pretty new (Sunset Beach) and we'd never been before so had no idea what to expect. Staff is great, amazing beers, amazing burgers and tater tots! Great rooftop with good music and a glimpse of the water/beach. We will definitely be regulars! read more

If you are looking for a cool relaxing vibe and some beers and food. Then this is a great option if you are in Huntington Beach/Sunset Beach. Parking was available in a small parking lot. We were able to find free parking on the street fairly easily behind the location. They have indoor and roof top seating. The interior is clean and they have bathrooms on the bottom floor and roof top. The beer is amazing and leans toward IPA's. They do have beers from other breweries as well. We found the selection to be fantastic. You can also get cans to go as well. We had the tater tots and fries which were both hot, crispy and we particularly enjoyed the sauce on both. Portions were good and the service was fast. Ordering is at the counter and if you order food, you get a vibration pager when it's ready for pick up. They have merchandise if you are looking for shirts, hats and sweatshirts. Also glassware. We will definitely return when we are in the area again.
