Mediterranean food in the valley has been a hit or miss for me bar Saba's and I kinda wanted to do something different than Saba's today and decided to do dinner at Noor's , and boy I could not have been happier . This is an upscale place and I loved that the restaurant had ample privacy from the parking lot and the seating was comfy and not cramped and the decor was not dark . We ordered the classic lentil soup , the battata hara , yalangi and the 'oum ali' bread pudding . The service was quick , portion sizes were filling and the food was amazing . My family and I came to Noor to try a high-end Mediterranean experience. We came on a Friday night where they had live Middle eastern music which was wonderful and we ordered short rib hummus, beyti kabobs (absolutely recommend!) along with shish tawook, truffle kabob, and risotto which were we shared family style. The food here is outstanding and authentic. My only critique is the service here felt slow although our server was very nice. Not sure if it's because it's a new restaurant, but this is one area of improvement for the restaurant which hopefully will get better down the road. I really wanted to give them a high mark, I just couldn't. Even with three starts I am being very generous. Had a 7:30pm reservation and we didn't get sat until 7:54pm. Several open tables and I do understand they may have been short on wait staff but others came in, talked to the hostess and got sat. As we say in Arabic "Wasta" aka "connections" I don't know. Once we got seated we had several plates on our table that were not cleaned and solid stuck on food was on them, you could not miss it. Not sure how the staff missed it. Drinks were ok, presentation was good and I tried the traditional Araq and it was good. As for service, in general it was spotty, while we did get checked up on several times, in general food coming out after order was placed was slow. Appetizers: - The BURATTA BAKLAVA for starters was unique. I would have done it as dessert but having it as a starter was actually good. - hummus with BEEF SUJUK was great. Wish it was actual sujuk links and not ground beef with sujuk spices. I would get classic hummus over this. - BATATA HARRA was good. Simple and delicious Enters: - I ordered the TRUFFLE KEBAB. It was ok I couldn't warp my head around having truffle winner kebab. Beef was well made. Truffle flavor was something extra that I just didn't get used to still after the dish was done - my friend ordered the BEEF SHISHLIK and it was ok for him. Didn't have any complaints except the pepper ( I think it was Anaheim peppers) still had seeds in it and was super hot - my other friend ordered the BEETS GOAT CHEESE salad which he said it was over dressed, and wished the goat cheese balls we're warm. He also ordered classic lentil soup which was ok. As far as service goes. Staff was attending to us. But attention to details were missing. In the beginning if my review I mentioned 2 out of 3 plates were dirty and had food left overs stuck in them. We asked the server to get us new one, she picked up the dirty ones and we never got replacements. Buss staff brought our starters and we had to ask him for clean plates Less than half way through my truffle kebab, I asked if I can get som Sumac seasoning and the server happily said she'll get it. I never got it. My meal started to get cold and our server was a bit away standing with 2 other servers and what appeared to be a manager talking. At that point I just ate my kebab and he back was ti our table to I couldn't get her attention. Si indicating as is. Overall value is not worth the hype. A bit overpriced for the level of service we got. I may go back but I have to give them some time to perfect the food and service. Finally the store ambiance was great. read more

Nice to have a authentic Mediterranean/Lebanese restaurant in the neighborhood. Indoor and Outdoor dining that is reasonably priced. Lots of options to choose from that are cooked fresh. My favorite is the eggplant salad and potatoes. I prefer the sides over the meat but overall very tasty. UPDATE: We returned and had an amazing five star experience. Will definitely be back and it's on my favorites list. This time, we parsed out our experience so it was mezze style and this was a much better approach. I started by ordering the gin cocktail with melon. It was very smooth and very easy to drink. So far this is my preferred cocktail. We started with tabbouleh, hummus with beef and kibbeh nayyeh. The tabbouleh and hummus choices were good and pretty classic. For tabbouleh purists, be aware that the tabbouleh definitely has some type of pomegranate syrup in it which gives it an uncharacteristic sweet flavor. Hummus was good but next time I will try a different dip. The star of the appetizers was the Kibbeh nayyeh, which is raw beef. I hadn't had this in such a long time. It was a delicious treat especially with the pita bread, onion, and mint leaf in the same bite (all necessary). Can't wait to eat this again. We were already full just eating these appetizers and took plenty of the tabbouleh and hummus home. Next we ordered the beef kebab hot mezze, which comes out like bite size pieces wrapped in dough with a dollop of yogurt. So good. The kibbi meqleyeh (fried beef footballs) served with yogurt dipping sauce were also delicious! We also tried the Lahmi Beajeen, a meat flat bread. It's a solid classic but we only tried one piece because we were stuffed. The pacing of the meal was fantastic thanks to our wonderful Lebanese waitress Stephanie. It was also amazing that the owner came to check on us several times for both the food and to make sure we were warm on the patio (we were!) The food is delicious! The customer service is above par. The patio has great isolated vibes with the Middle Eastern flair. I also love the plates and serving bowls and utensils which add elegance to the experience. I was able to snag a reservation for 1 on a Friday night last minute. Lebanese/Mediterranean on the higher end was very welcome (and needed) for the area. I had a lovely table outside, the patio was a vibe with the water fountain and lighting. I ordered the old fashioned which had a nice presentation, I ordered the short rib hummus and a tabbouleh salad. Our server knew so much and was very helpful with the menu and options. We started with the noor zaytoon martini and the limonana slush both were so good and unique. The trio of dips was absolutely a must, muhamara was off the charts amazing. Have to get the cherry halloumi was yummy and so fun to watch it on fire. The freekotto was amazing such a great flavor. The space is beautiful ... large, airy, with indoor-outdoor seating and a Mediterranean-meets-Emirates vibe. It genuinely feels like a resort-style restaurant. We were seated inside at a great table and the ambience set the tone for the evening. Drinks: I had the Mish Mish Moon and the Medjool Tea old Fashioned. Both were excellent and well balanced. My husband ordered the Noor Zaitun Martini twice which says everything. He really enjoyed it. Food: We ordered the Mutabal, Muhammara, fresh hot breads, Chicken Mousakhan, Shish Tawook, and finished with Oum Ali. The standout for us was definitely the Muhammara. It was honestly one of the best we've ever had. My husband grew up in Dubai and agreed it was exceptional. The Chicken Mousakhan was comforting and flavorful. It was way tooo sour for my liking but my husband LOVED it so again a very personal view on the dish here. The Shish Tawook was a generous portion - perfect for sharing. We ended with Oum Ali (bread pudding kinda dessert), served warm, and it was fantastic. I mostly eat chicken and fish, so I didn't try the beef options, but I've heard they're very good and worth exploring. Service: Service was spot on. The GM stopped by our table, Andre (our server) was warm and attentive, and even the owner came over to check in. Final notes : It is certainly a bit on the pricier side BUT if your overall experience is great- I think it's worth it. When a friend suggested we check out Noor for a girls' night dinner recently, I was all in. I'd heard great feedback and was excited to check it out for myself and I was not disappointed! First of all the restaurant is beautiful. They did an amazing job decorating this upscale Mediterranean restaurant. Our party of five was seated inside (although it's worth noting there is plenty of outdoor seating as well, and they do have heaters)! In addition to some wine and sparkling water to start, we had the classic hummus, the babaghounish and the honey burrata as appetizers to share. The hummus and baba are served with pita "pillows" as one friend described them and they were very good. We liked the hummus and burrata apps better than the baba however. For entrees, four of us shared the lamb chops and another went with the chicken tawook. If you are hungry, I'd recommend going for your own entree vs. sharing, but it worked out well for all of us. We ended up not getting dessert, but perhaps we will save room next time. Service was attentive throughout the meal until we asked for the check, and then it seemed to take a really long time. The owner (or perhaps manager) stopped by to check in on us which was a really nice touch. I love that this restaurant is conveniently located at Tatum and Shea and has plenty of parking available. I came here for a quick meet up with a friend. We arrived around 5:20 shortly after they opened for dinner. The bar was already pretty full, we opted for a table outside. This place is so beautiful!!! We got the short ribs Hummus and BEYTI KEBAB. It is good to note that I have a tree nut allergy so alot of the starters have walnuts mixed into the dish. We got here at 5 pm as they were opening up & were told that since we didn't have a reservation, there is only bar seating available... Dinner was delicious & flavorful - baba ghanoush, burrata baklava, beef rolled in lavosh & sea bass (small portion for the price). We had sharab royale, gem tree margarita and espresso martini - great drinks! For dessert we tried brioche bread pudding which was sweet and flavorful. My wife and I stumled upon this absolute gem of a restaurant tonight. From the moment you enter the ambience transports you to a relaxing oasis of sites and smells. The decor was obviously very well thought out. Soft neutral tones greet you with soft lighting but with table lamps to illuminate the menu choices. The servers were exceptionally attentive and full of personilty. This was a refreshing change in today's introverted population. Our waiters suggestions were all spot on. We enjoyed the Muhamra pepper dip and Batata Harra(a vastly improved version of potatas bravas). For our mains we enjoyed the Beef Shashlik (tenderloin) and the Lamp Chops. Everything was prepared to perfection! We could not believe that this level of dining was now available 5 minutes from home. I enjoyed the Medjool Thief Old Fashioned which arrived in a decorative box that released a faint cloud of smoke when opened... Absolutely sublime. The pine nuts suspended in the drink added an almost magical mellow flavor. After sipping on a very authentic Turkish coffee, I felt it would have been irresponsible not to sample the dessert offerings. So, We ended up going with the Oum Ali..(brioche Bread Pudding). There are literally no words to describe this creation. Warm, balanced, custardy wonderfulness! It was served with a roasted Chili pepper, a yogurt dip, salad and Bread. Okay.... Where do I even start.... Through the door it was a very welcoming atmosphere, we were greeted right away. I should also mention that I had made reservations quite a bit in advance. The one thing I did notice is that even with the reservation the body language of the greeter as well as what I think is the restaurant manager/owner a woman wearing a blue dress whom seemed very out of place and did not know how to work a crowded room very well. We were taken to our table which was dainty but, nice. The only recommendation I would have is to not place tables so close to the entrance/exit for the waiters and waitresses as it is a very high traffic area and with so much movement conversation was interrupted due to the assumption multiple waiters/waitresses were coming to our table. The waiters name was Chazz, at first his energy was very dim but, we were energetic and playful as well as asked him what his recommendations are as well as his favorites which he the lit up and started speaking with enthusiasm about the dishes he was referencing. He really was amazing and we are thankful for the service we received while on a date night. Now.... The food.... And, drinks.... Chazz recommended the medjool old fashioned and the noors noir martini. Both drinks were very good. The date in the old fashioned was a huge miss for me though. I understand the ambiance and the why for the medjool date but, as a recommendation go back to the smoke cherry. It pairs better with the smokiness of the drink. It is not "innovative" to replace the cherry with a date. The food was ordered as follows: Starter: Hummus short rib - Severely missed the mark. The short rib was not flavorful at all as well as the hummus was just plain. Hot Mezze: Kebbeh Meshwiyeh - Now THIS was the most amazing dish of the entire night truthfully. Five stars just for this dish alone! Main: Mixed Grill Manqal - we wanted to try a little bit of everything which is what prompted this order.... The beef skewers tasted as if the chef added liquid smoke and was borderline inedible due to lack of taste. The lamb was undercooked and chewy. The BEST portion of this dish was the chicken it was very good, cooked through while maintaining its juiciness and seasoned very well. Dessert: Cherry Mousse and Oum Ali - The cherry mousse was VERY rich and robust with flavor, ensure to have water on the table when eating this dessert. The Oum Ali was okay for the first few bites however, it got very unfavorable in taste after the first few bites as well as bits of it were burnt and that made those areas taste MUCH worse. In closing, the aftermath of some of the food lead to waking up at 3am to cold sweats and dry heave vomiting as well as stomach pains that made the morning very uncomfortable. I do not recommend this establishment based mainly on the food and the outcome. read more

They didn't seem totally prepared for the amount of business they had and probably need to change some staffing or time intensive items to help improve long waits. The chicken skewers and hummus were great, I will get again. I didn't particularly enjoy the baba ghanouj but it wasn't bad just not my preference in style. The lamb was bland, but they did say they were out of the crust so it would be fine if made as on the menu. The kebbeh nayyeh was the least enjoyable item due to the texture but flavor was fine. When I read the About section on NOOR Mediterranean I was excited about this new spot opening. We chose to visit on New Year's Eve. I made a reservation for a standard table and when we got to the hostess desk we were told it was outdoor seating. The only issue is that it was a chilly night with some light rain. All indoor tables were booked. We were about to leave but then wee offered a high top table and that was fine so we stayed. Walking inside the space the wall art and lighting accessories are beautiful. There are thoughtful menu options and the food presentation is top notch. The only negative is there are sevice kinks that need to be ironed out. But with a newer restaurant this wasn't unexpected. Tonight in addition to our different mezze options I ordered a beef flat bread but got served the chicken flatbread and we could not pay our check by scanning the QRC code on the receipt because two additional items were on the digital receipt that were not on the print receipt. We waited for awhile after we ended up having to give the server Sal our card. Which seemed odd because he had a hand held POS device to take our order and most restaurant servers can take the payment at the table with the same device. But I definitely plan to give them another visit in a few weeks to experience them during the daytime for lunch. read more

Restaurant looks nice and some of the food tasted good, but the service is horrid. Went here last night for dinner. Appetizer took quite some time to arrive at the table. The waiter forgot that someone at our table ordered a coke and had to be reminded after 10 plus minutes. The main dish also took a while and was warm and no longer hot by the time it arrived. This was the lamb chops and the truffle kabob. Ordered dessert and it took almost 20 minutes if not longer before we just cancelled that order so we could get on the road as we had an hour drove home. For the price, almost $250, for 4 people (no alcohol), and the portion sizes it is overpriced. I tried the newly opened Noor on Sunday night. I was pleasantly surprised by all the choices on the menu. The bartender Max answered all my questions, and helped make some great recommendations. The owner also came by to see how everything was and also made some excellent suggestions. I enjoyed all the food, and had an Old Fashioned (done with a unique garnish), and an Arak, which was new to me. The atmosphere and presentation of the drinks and food really stood out as well.
