What a cute little place to have lunch with some friends who came in to Astoria in a cruise line. They were from Canada and Astoria was their last stop on their way home from a 21 day cruise. So I drove up from Gaston (2 hours south) and met them for lunch. We walked around for a bit before passing this cute little restaurant. We went in and were greeted by a very beautiful and sweet young lady who let us know we were welcome to sit at the only table in the quaint place and she would assist us. Very small and clean dining room area. We perused the menu and landed on pork tacos, shrimp tacos and a quinoa bowl. Good is ultra clean, ethical and absolutely delicious. Seasoned well and perfect sized portions. It also looks beautiful when presented. I would definitely bring my friends or family here again and the pricing was fair. Check it out. I am a realtor and while traveling for business, we happened to find this place while looking for a vegan menu. I had the Cauliflower rice Mushroom stir-fry with vegan pesto sauce, and OMG I am still thinking about it! Loved it so much that I am going to try to recreate it, as I doubt I will ever be in Astoria again as I live 8 hours away! My non vegan hubby had the BLT on Gluten free bread and said it was the best he ever had. I wish we had a place like this in Brookings Oregon where we live. Normally I stress finding a restaurant while I'm vacation because I can't eat gluten. Not only could I order anything on this menu, it was delicious. I ordered the Korean beef short rib tacos. They were full of flavor and had a crunch slaw on top. There was so much food I probably could have split it, but I managed to eat all three tacos. The owner was friendly and the environment inviting. They also make fresh cold pressed juices that I would recommend trying. I wish I had room to try their chocolate chip cookies because they looked yummy. read more

Such kind service here, along with really excellent food! My mom has a few dietary restrictions, and so it's always a travel highlight when we're able to find food that not only is gluten and dairy free, but also doesn't compromise its quality! We had really delicious beef and mahi chicken tacos that paired beautifully with their kimchi slaw. It was just the right amount of food! We love this cafe!! All gluten free, several vegan & keto options. The bacon cauliflower chowder is amazing! Except for the bacon, it is vegan (we have egg & dairy allergies so this is perfect for us). It actually tastes like bacon-y clam chowder. This place was FANTASTIC. Not only was the food great, but the service was phenomenal. Kendall and her husband own the place and they have so many great food options for those with special dietary needs. The cauliflower bacon chowder was so so good. My mom and I each got the BLTA and my dad had the tacos. We also tried a couple of desserts; the keto cake and the "cheesecake". Wow wow WOW. We were seriously impressed! We found this cafe while spending the day in Astoria. It's great! We love that it is completely gluten-free so it's safe for my Celiac daughter to eat anything off of the menu. Don't let the small size fool you....this place has amazing food. We were traveling north on our way home to Seattle after a few days at the beach. I'm gluten intolerant so always look for GF places. The Green Door did not disappoint. We both had the BLTA. The bread was light and airy, not something one usually says about almond bread. The bacon was perfectly crisp and the whole sandwich just sang with flavor. People next to us has the short rib tacos and said they were great. The owner is very kind and graciously offered up some bacon to our happy dogs. Oh....don't forget dessert! The paleo brownie was too rich for me but my wife loved it. I had the chocolate chip cookie. Yum. We bought 4 more for the road! We will definitely plan to stop on future trips through. read more

Found this lovely little cafe on Yelp when passing through Astoria! The young couple cooking such yummy food are so friendly and helpful with food sensitivities! We loved the tacos and especially the BLTA on a thin almond flour bun they bake themselves! It is the best GF sandwich I have ever eaten. Loved it so much, I asked if I could buy another bun to take home for breakfast! Wow! It was excellent the next day too! Small place with wonderful food- they take care of people here! Stop by! Stopped in for lunch after reading reviews and gf options. Tried the beef and chicken tacos and they were amazing! The gf savory muffin was also great.
