    Garlic Smash Burger

This was a great restaurant! We were greeted warmly when we walked in and grabbed a nice high top table with a view. The service was great, and we had an order in fast. We shared a black currant hard cider and it was smooth and delicious. The garlic burger was sooo good, cooked well, with just the right amount of garlic. The flavor balance was awesome. The views from inside were great too, it was so nice to see across the river, but to not have to be out in the cold! Great location, great food, great service!

We were heading back to the valley and stopped in Astoria for breakfast/lunch. The view of the river is hands down gorgeous! The service was welcoming and the atmosphere & decor were nostalgic. I am always curious on cold salad options and can never go wrong with breadsticks so I tried both! Their BLT wrap was also delicious..We will be back to try more options off the menu

Cool place with friendly staff. The view is great as well. I came in for a drink a couple of times during my stay. I didn't try the food but there is always next time. I had a cherry vanilla whiskey with ginger ale as recommend and the second time a manhattan. They have a great menu and decent happy hour deals. They also have a corner with slot machines. If you travel through Astoria I'd recommend stopping in.

Fun night with friends while in Astoria. This place was a fantastic find! Such nice servers and bartender made our experience fun with the great suggestions for cocktails. They have food available too. They don't have dessert so I got a dessert cocktail "peanut butter chocolate" martini! Husband got a Spicy Bloody Mary that was loaded with things on top.

Good Bloody Mary and they have a bigger one too.

Been here twice in the last month and the food is always good. One trip for breakfast and one for lunch on Mother's Day. Service is great and love the look of it inside. We have been several times in the last few years and have loved every meal we have been served.

Came in for the first time on a gorgeous sunny day. We arrived at 11AM for lunch and sat by the door on the riverside. That way we had the breeze and all the windows to watch the action. Always something new on the Columbia River! Started off with a cold pilsner and chatted with our server Vanessa (5 star). We ordered a HUGE nacho plate and Thai penne with bacon. The penne was delicious and took some home with us. The nachos were just average (we live in the Southwest). The place has its own vibe, welcoming and clean.

Located on Pier #11 in Astoria in Oregon, we arrived late so it was pretty dark, too bad we didn't have such a long day sightseeing, it would have been a beautiful sight looking out of the window seeing Washington state across with the view. I ordered the bowl of clam chowder which was good and came out nice and hot, it was flavorful only thing it could use more clam meat, other than that it was worth it! The nachos came and it was huge even 3 of us couldn't finish that order and it came with 3 type of colorful chips and the side condiments you can order on the side which was nice because it didn't make the chips soggy, the only thing is that you pay extra if you want guacamole or salsa or sour cream and they sell it by side large or small containers. They also had some slot machine, if you wanted to gamble. Staff were friendly and service was great!

Came here as a last spur of the moment option. I will now come here first when I come to Astoria. Came to Astoria on a spontaneous date and tried to go to two different places that sadly closed before I got there. I found this place on here and couldn't have been happier. Walked in to a quaint bar with aesthetically pleasing decor, and a warm welcome from the bartender. It was slightly busy inside so I sat at a side table until I could get a water-view seat. Even with it being busy I was met, served my drinks, food, and had time to enjoy the view all within a timely manner. The weather and sunset permitted a lovely view. Although I imagine a stormy night here would be so pleasing. Now.. the vending machine. I LOVE a good vending machine. Theirs.. it's the best I've seen yet, and I've seen over my fair share of quirky vending machines. I wish I had came on a day the business next to the front door entrance were open as well. I will be back. 11/10 I even saw a seal!

$15 Bloody Mary. Lots of accoutrements, including shrimp, bacon and a pepperoni stick.

Update: 12/17/25 We visited the Inferno Lounge this week, and it was amazing! Our server, Josh, was excellent. Our food was great, which included the French Dip, the Garlic Penne Pasta and a Bacon Cheeseburger. We enjoyed all of them, especially the side salads we ordered. But the drinks stole the show! We ordered a couple different drinks, and they were all fabulous, including the Peanut Butter Martini, Cherry Blosdom Kamikazi and one of their Signature Blood Marys. We'll be back. Our only complaint was the building was a little cold. By the end of our meal, we were all wearing our jackets. Which is weird, considering we were sitting in the 'Inferno' lounge.

Partially eaten Thanksgiving meal. The plate was loaded with food before I dug in! I forgot to take a photo before eating!

We decided to celebrate Thanksgiving this year at the Inferno Lounge. It was the only local place that didn't require a reservation, so we decided to throw caution to the wind and see if we could get a table. We got there early and a line was already forming to get it. We were able to snag a table with a fantastic view. Most of the tables have great views of the Columbia River. Besides their Thanksgiving special, they were also offering regular menu items. Since it was Thanksgiving we all ordered that special. What a delicious plate, too! Moist and flavorful turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, perfectly cooked asparagus, small portion of cranberry sauce, gravy and a soft, squishy dinner roll. Great portion, too. The only thing missing were sweet potatoes. Excellent meal, great, friendly service and a table with a view! And no clean up for me! How cool is that?! Thank you, Inferno Lounge, for a delicious, and relaxing Thanksgiving. P.S. I was so excited about my food, I forgot to take a photo before digging in! The plate truly was full before I dug in! They also served us some delicious Wassail! So tasty!

Excellent service. Everyone is so friendly here! We had the inferno bloody Mary and it was exceptional. The pesto clams are so freaking good! We also really enjoyed their clam chowder. We've yet to have a bad experience here!

Cute little place by the water, fun drinks and good food. The lights could be a little less oppressive, but that's an easy fix and just my opinion

Stopped here on a whim when I was in Astoria for a few hours and wanted to eat somewhere by the water. This place had a very good vibe and the staff were all so nice and friendly. I loved my server who had pink hair (and I didn't get their name) but honestly 10/10 service with a smile that seemed truly kind. I got the burger with a side salad and was very happy with both. And the view of the water just made it all better. If I ever come back to Astoria, I'll be sure to dine at Inferno Lounge again.

Appearances are not deceiving, that's all that there is. Plus, without the "wall o liquor" behind the bar, they are not going to make you "that cocktail you had once in the Bahamas" or even a whisky sour. Their boundaries are much tighter than that. But what they can do within those boundaries! They have charted a course through the heritage of the region, the Scandinavian taste for Akavit, and a flair for adventurous tastes and subtle flavors. And, every cocktail on the menu, has a story that goes with it! I can only speak to the two we ordered (this was a nightcap, not a bender) but they were clever, tasty, wholly unique in my experience, and not crazy expensive ($15 and $16). Apparently, a reported haunting and paranormal investigation led to the creation of "The Veil is Thin" described in the menu as a "Spicy Experimental Margarita." I am a lover of the things that come from the blessed Agave, so this is what I ordered. It arrives an the glass in the picture with a shot glass of fresh squeezed lime juice alongside. This is for the "magic trick" that takes place when you pour the lime into the glass. I won't spoil it for you, but it's not the dumbest trick I've ever seen, it works as a part of the experience. The ingredients are, now follow along in your hymnals children, house infused red cabbage tequila (!), Combier, fresh lime juice, Hell Fire bitters, dragon fruit garnish (not present in mine), black lava salt, white pepper and rose petal rim. It was spicy (especially in the aftertaste), sweet, with the heat of the white pepper and black salt on the rim. On top of that, it was a good Margarita to boot. It was an excellent cocktail and a nice, fresh take on a classic. The prohibition history of the area leads us to the Long Beach Iced Tea. With Vodka, Rum and sweet vermouth, you've got the basics, but then you elevate that with fresh lemon juice, house infused Earl Grey simple syrup, soda and then, of all things a garnish of fresh (bruised) thyme and it becomes something entirely different. You're not going to get hammered, which is what I expect from the Long Island version, but you are also not going to miss the aroma of the thyme making the drink that much better. The floral bergamot from the tea syrup takes you in a different direction and the fizz keeps the aroma flowing out of the glass. It's delicious, subtle, and worth repeating. They can accommodate larger parties by just expanding into the Broder Strand dining room, which is what happened when a boisterous group of celebrating women came in looking for a new stop on their bar tour. One of them even requested a custom drink and was, by all reports, delighted with the results. We have one more night, and I don't think we'll miss having another nightcap here. You should definitely check it out!

I have traveled across the nation and spent time in countless queer spaces from coast to coast, yet Xanadu stands in a league of its own.
