Eggs Your Way breakfast with potatoes, bacon and a biscuit
Nicole B.

If ever I'm in Philly, it is like a must that i come to one of the locations of green eggs cafe. To me, it's the best brunch in Philly. Best breakfast, whatever. However, This visit wasn't the best for me. It just felt like something was missing. The service was great. Our waitress was busy, but she kept us updated as much as she could. It was a busy Sunday early afternoon. We got seated right away. This location was a little smaller than the others that I've been to. It was all around easier to find parking for this location than the others. But I'm not sure, we ordered the watermelon jolly rancher cocktail and it was very underwhelming, and ridiculously sweet. I couldn't taste the alcohol at all. With such a limited menu, it was hard to make a substitute for things that weren't there. Either way, i still give it a 3.5 stars. Not bad. See pics below.

The Breakfast Board, which includes the creme brulee French toast, the breakfast egg rolls and a choice of meat (I picked sausage), is the perfect mix of sweet and savory. The portion sizes fit my needs as it was enough to fill me up without being overpowering. To drink, I ordered the Apple Pie Mimosa, which tasted like an apple pie. It's a cash-only establishment, but there is an atm. While it was busy during my visit, the service was fantastic.

Conveniently located neighborhood spot! Intimate breakfast nook cafe with a menu focusing on French toast and though I didn't order any, all the French toast I saw looked INCREDIBLE. So I originally ordered the strawberry matcha and tbh it was diabolical lol one sip & I sent it back. I also ordered the wild west* omelette I think? It was pretty good (maybe 2-3eggs) but SOOOO salty. Someone definitely was heavy handed in the kitchen. Thankfully, our waitress Denise was super helpful and rectifying my issues! The highlight of my meal may have been the fresh fruit (I know I know lol) well balanced, ripe and fresh! Hope to visit another location!

The food is always great at Green Eggs Cafe. The coffee is always such a treat. The service is quick and refill coffee to make the sweet coffees last longer. They have a beautiful area with lots of natural lights.

As a heads up, this spot is cash only but there is an ATM inside. The French toast flight looks pretty and was fairly tasty, but they were all VERY sweet. The omelet and hashbrowns (not pictured because visually did not look appealing) were unimpressive. Far too many bell peppers in the hash browns, it was more like veggies with a bit of potatoes. The omelet was one you could make better at home. The coffee was pretty good, however! Overall, I'd go elsewhere.

This is a chain cafe in Philly but don't let that defer you. The food is amazing here! I moved from Philly almost two years now and I still have to come to this place when I'm in town! Everything is good from the French toast, omelette, lattes, pancakes and sandwiches! Anything crème brûlée at this restaurant is amazing! The ambiance gives hometown vibes with good food and the service is always friendly and nice! This is definitely a must brunch place when you're in Philly!

Great service, food was amazing. Had the French toast flight and great way to figure out what to get next time. Large enough to share.

We had there vegan food delivered and it was good! I really enjoyed the vegan French toast. Price is a tad bit high but the food was good so I won't complain.

Met someone here for lunch. Cash ONLY establishment. There's an ATM machine on site. Parking: street. I got lucky there was a spit right in front!! Woo hoo!! Atmosphere: bright and loud Service: Gallen was our server, and she was very nice. The woman who made the coffees was nice and engaging. Drink: pumpkin late hot! It wasn't hot enough but it was delicious!!! They offer alcohol. Food: 1. Turkey bacon, eggs, and potatoes. Loved the thick cut turkey bacon. I asked for eggs scrambled soft with onions, but they don't cook onions in with the eggs; they offered to put them on the side, and I passed. I'm not sure why, but my eggs weren't scrambled or soft. I wonder if they were fresh eggs. The potatoes with rosemary were ok. 2. Eggs Benedict with turkey bacon. It was good, my friend said. Turn off. They charge if you ask for a plastic warehouse when dining in, but not if you are taking it out. The salt wasn't coming out the shaker, and when I opened the top, it appalears that the salt got wet at some point and was nerve changed, so the lid was rusty. I brought it to a workers attention. Overall, the experience was ok but I'm not sure if I'll go back.

What I got.

I got the Philly Cubano. See picture for description. Then see picture of what I got. No pickle or pork. But I did get poached eggs and scrapple. Very disappointing.

Wow. I have heard about this place, how good it is, and the line - ITS ALL TRUE. We got there before 11 am on a Saturday and avoided the lines, even got a seat outside on the most perfect day. Our server let us know it was cash only, where the ATM was and that the kitchen was a little short staffed (everything was still very timely) but I do really appreciate the communication. We had a little bit of everything and it was all. SO. GOOD, I'm still drooling thinking about that French toast! We had a megamosa and latte as well (not pictured) that were delicious as well. 10/10 recommend!

Crab Cake Benedict with Potatoes * favorite item ordered * benedict includes a red bell pepper layer * potatoes were seasoned perfected and tasty Short Rib Benedict with Fresh Fruits * meat is very tender and off the bone * benedict includes a fried chicken layer French Toast Board * the only difference between each flavor were the toppings * toast was on the drier side * enjoyed the creme brûlée flavor the most Buffalo Chicken Mac n Cheese * fried chicken was dry * mac n cheese did not have enough cheese sauce * serving is very big and filling * presentation of food was very aesthetic but did not particularly stand out in taste or quality * very unique and creative menu (barely any classic american breakfast options) 6.5/10

Red Velvet Pancakes, The Kitchen Sink

NGL- I thought this place was gimmicky and Instagrammable. I'm glad I got talked into trying it because I was wrong, it's a cozy spot with tasty food and I'm into it. The Kitchen Sink was a hefty skillet full of eggs, potatoes, and gravy. There's enough breakfast for 2-3 people in there. Red Velvet pancakes are more like sheet cakes, very decadent. I liked the mascarpone and strawberries. Staff were attentive despite how busy it was. Recommend!

They had custom menus for us that said "happy anniversary"....really nice touch. They also gifted us two glasses of prosecco. The food was absolutely outstanding. We split the grilled avocado and the crab toast. And both ordered the gnocchi. And split the basque cheesecake for dessert. I am still thinking about the meal......11 months later. It was THAT good. The wood burning fireplace/cook area. The wood waiting to go in to be burned. The open kitchen. Such a cool vibe. The cocktails were also sublime. We split charcoal old fashioned and a roasted strawberry Negroni. Then I had a pickled beet martini.....very delish and unique...but nothing my husband would try. On a scale of 1 to 10....this place was at least an 11.

We came here for happy hour and were immediately impressed by how stunning the space is. The decor…read moreis beautiful, and it would make a great date-night spot. The service, food, and drinks were all good, but happy hour felt pricey for the portion sizes. We shared oysters, French fries, shrimp cocktail, and tuna crudo, along with a few glasses of wine. Everything was delicious, especially the tuna crudo. My photos may be a bit misleading--the oysters and shrimp were surprisingly small, and we actually left feeling hungry. Overall, a beautiful restaurant with great food, but not the best value for happy hour.

First of all, the Yelp operation hours/days are incorrect, so call ahead or check the restaurant…read moreinstagram page or website to get current info. Second, everyone knows about Roxanne's insanely delicious and creative prix fix menus, but did you know they now have a la carte lunch (and dinner) menus? I recently scored a lunch reservation and ordered a classic combo of burger and fries, with strawberry shortcake for dessert. Roxanne can make the tasty inventive dishes, but can they make hometown faves like this? Yes. Yes they can. The juicy well-seasoned burger, pillow soft homemade sesame bun, secret sauce, and onion would have been enough, but the unmelted, room temp red rock cheese gave the burger a kick in the pants that make this a contender for best burger in Philly. The curly fries would put Arby's to shame. They are thicker, crispier, longer, and softer inside. Lastly, it may seem odd to order dessert after lunch. But, if you are at Roxanne, you could be charged with a crime if you leave without it. I went with the American classic of strawberry shortcake since it's practically a requirement on 4th of July and this is our 250th birthday as well! I think the photo explains itself. Obscenely delicious and, yes, I ate it all. Slowly. So, put Roxanne on the top of your list for a Philly lunch stop, and order the dessert too! You won't regret it.

We sat in the outdoor garden on an unusually pleasant July afternoon (by Philly standards). It was very comfortable, even though the restaurant was full. We enjoyed several of the brunch entrees, to include the salmon eggs Benedict and Huevos Rancheros. The food was fresh, hot and perfectly prepared. Finishing with a sampling of their wonderful desserts made it a perfect meal on a perfect day. Well done and highly recommended!

The whole reason was the garden patio and oh my god, yes, absolutely worth it. We picked the right table too, right in the middle of everything. We ordered cocktails, got a bunch of things to share, and just kind of settled in. The scallop and shrimp risotto? My favorite thing we ordered. It sounds like it's going to be super rich and heavy but the pickled vegetables on top balance it out perfectly and I cleared my plate. We also got the biscuits to start and the salted honey butter that comes with them is actually dangerous because you will not stop eating it. We debated ordering another round. The cucumber salad I honestly almost said no to, but it ended up being so refreshing and it went with everything else really well. Glad someone talked me into it.
