This restaurant is very deceiving in a good way. It's a very small space with barely any seating but with a pleasant vibe. The staff were friendly enough. We were seated immediately and literally had to squeeze into our table (no leg or elbow room). They added a chair to the end of the table to accommodate our party of 5. We were debating whether or not we had made a good choice until our food came out (it was a longer wait than expected). The portions are very generous (each plate could easily serve two people) and beautifully decorated. We all enjoyed every bite of food on our plates. Everything was freshly made and delicious. We were happy we stuck around and waited. So if you have time, don't mind small spaces and want some delicious food, I recommend you stop by.

Small and cute little breakfast place. Super cute and everything was tasty! Everyone was very nice that worked there.

This was a totally unexpected surprise and I'm so happy we finally made our way to Izzy's! We have talked about coming here for months and I just kept cancelling at the last second to go somewhere I knew I liked, but this was a well worth trip! We came for Sunday breakfast and went with the Bandeja Mexicana and the huevos mexicana, both were delicious! I was sad when we got there that the huevos mexicana were no longer on the menu, but was so thankful that they made them for me! The menu does update every so often and check the specials on the wall out, we didn't notice them till after we ordered. The service was timely. The ambiance is a little odd with the early 2000's top hits playing and there is not much decor inside, but the food was well-worth the trip! I look forward to returning again soon!

This place is super cute, and the food is excellent! Must try would have to be one of their loaded French toasts. It might look heavy, but it's actually light and filled with flavor! The presentation of the food is also really nice!

We visited our son recently in Philly where we always enjoy the restaurant scene. He has been raving about this new breakfast spot a short walk from his apartment so we made sure to pay a visit. He did not over sell it! All four of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. They have two "sections" to the menu, sweet and savory. I went for the latter and being a huge Mexican food fan, that's what I did pictured below. One of the single best breakfast items ever!

    TRES LECHES iced coffee
    Suf L.

We have discovered their tres leches iced coffee, which is basically a caffeinated milkshake (in a good way). Additionally, we've become fatties and order 2 savory meals to split and also something sweet. All this for like $35 a person, which for a brunch in the city, isn't bad! Be prepared to wait a little if you have a party any bigger than 2, but it's worth it. I also just learned they have a private event space for up to 25 people!

Ordered on DoorDash. Packaging was not the best - paper containers did not have option for tight seal which meant some of French toast contents leaked in the bag/on other container. Food was yummy and would love to go back in-person.

What a hidden gem! I wish I discovered this place sooner! Amazing"homemade" food, clean space, and very friendly service. Menu is very rich of anything you could possibly want. Kids menu too. What a great spot! I cannot wait to come back!

This place has to be one of the best and underrated breakfast spots in philly. The iced coffees taste better than your local starbucks. You can come here for traditional american foods as well as mexican breakfast. Both are pretty damn good. It hasnt gotten that busy on weekends yet but I'm pretty sure word will get out and there will be a line at brunch.

If u like French toast this is the place to go! The brioche bread they use is everything! It's BYOB so my friends and I brought a bottle of Prosecco. The inside dining is limited and small but other than that this place is a gem

I was looking to try a different restaurant for breakfast and was intrigued by Izzy's 33 menu. I arrived and was seated immediately. This location is small but super cute. I ordered coffee and HUEVOS A LA MEXICANA (Scrambled eggs with Sautéed onions, jalapenos and tomato served with pinto beans, queso fresco tortilla chips and avocado). So good! I will definitely be back and I want to try something from the crepe menu! I knew I would love Izzy's because patrons waited outside for seats to become available.

This small BYOB restaurant is near the corner of 9 and Morris. My husband and I got here around noon and it was crowded. The dining room is small but not too overcrowded. They put cushions to sit people by the window. I like the red wall with gold accent on the ceiling trim and bathroom door because it gives a fancy look. The restaurant is nicely decorated with a small pot of plant on each table. We were served right away. On the menu they make crepes after 4 PM. There's a special menu on the blackboard. The menu has regular breakfast items and also some Mexican dishes such as chilaquiles and enchilada My husband ordered breakfast burger, which I never encountered before. It had burger patty with hash brown, egg, and bacon. He enjoyed it very much. He selected a bowl of fruit as side. The fruit bowl is bigger than those that are usually served in diners. Meanwhile, I ordered special item: crab meat omelette. My waitress asked what side I would like. The choices are salad, fruit, or home fries. I opted for the salad. When I got the food, it came with 2 slices of toasted white bread. I wished they offered wheat. They were generous with the size of the salad and the amount of crab meat. Unfortunately, my omelette was very salty. I understand that crab meat is salty but I felt like it was brined in salt. It's very rare to find me not finishing my food. This time I couldn't finish it because I could feel my blood pressure went up because how salty it was. They accept card payment but it is cheaper to pay with cash. I might give this place another try maybe the Mexican dish

This was my first time visiting this restaurant. I arrived with my wife and 2 kids 6 minutes past 8am, which is when they open. We stood in the entrance for about 2 minutes before someone who was walking through the back area saw us standing around. We were seated quickly as we were the only ones there. We quickly noticed a smell that was not pleasant. Musty maybe? Not sure, but my wife had some type of allergic reaction, watery itchy eyes and a sneeze attack as soon as we sat down. We ordered some food, the breakfast platter for the kids to share, huevos rancheros for me and the Mexican breakfast for my wife. I was pretty surprised about the 35 min wait, especially since there were no other customers, but once our food arrived we could see the attention to detail. The food was really yummy, plentiful and hot. Hot in temperature and in spice. My wife and I tried to share some of our meals with the kids but they were too spicy for them. I did wish there was an indication of spice level on the menu, but I didn't see that. So why only 4 stars you ask? Though the food was delicious and beautifully plated, I was a bit disappointed with the attention to detail for the customers. Our server only came to the table once to see if we needed anything and it was toward the end of our meal. As I was asking for something, she began walking away missing half of my sentence, which meant more work for her since she had to grab that item, come back and go back again for the other item I was planning on asking for on her first trip back to the kitchen. At this point there were 3 other tables with customers but still the wait staff was very sparse. Once we finished, my kids and wife left the restaurant because my kids couldn't wait any longer and I sat at the table for 8 minutes by myself, with my credit card in hand, waiting to pay. 4 tables full of customers and zero staff on the floor is never ideal. Would I come back here? Maybe delivery since the food was really great, but not with the kids again.

This was my first time actually trying it and it definitely lived up to the hype of the Yelp reviews. My wrap had chicken, hummus, lettuce, and feta, and it was so delicious. My chicken was very good, very tender and seasoned well. It also had a great creamy hummus to tie all the other ingredients together. The feta added just enough saltiness to balance out the rest of the flavors. All of the ingredients were very fresh, and my wrap was extremely soft, yet still maintained its form completely as I ate. I also ordered a Nutella hot chocolate. It was delicious! It was my fist time having a Nutella hot Chocolate. I usually just get a normal hot chocolate. The pita chips served as an additional side item with this sandwich and proved to be quite enjoyable. The pita chips had a good crunch and were able to pair with the wrap very well. I ended up eating all of the pita chips! It was a great lunch and I enjoyed my wrap! I would likely order from Café Square One again in the future, especially, if that wrap is still on their menu!

It was much better than their root vegetable soup, and I was quite fond of that soup. It's honestly nothing like anything else on the menu. It has an indian? maybe? taste to it. It's so good. there is these juicy white raisins inside, some sliced almonds (not treenut friendly), and some sort of white yogurt sauce with micro greens. really a fantastic flavor pallet and the actual soup texture is smooth minus the toppings. Cashew Hummus: okay so here's my thing. I find that this restaurant in particular does such a disservice with their menu item descriptions. Based off of the description of this dish, I would think it's probably decent at best, and might not even order it. luckily I had a sixth sense to know this would be amazing. it's truly so good. it's a hummus layer topped with a bunch of seasoned roasted vegetables and chickpeas. The flavors are great and the textures are also great. I wouldn't have known it was cashew hummus if you didn't tell me. it's honestly not that large, so if you really like vegtables and hummus i'd get your own or split with only one person. if everyone is demure, it could go four ways. also! I don't think it comes with bread. it didn't come with bread this recent visit, but I am not sure if that was a mistake or that's how it is. But, to be safe, i'd save your bread you get at the begining to use for this. this is a must get every time I go. Dandelion salad: I only order this for my welsh rarebit. I like to eat my welsh rarebit with some of the salad since the acid cuts the fatty cheese. but, I will say, it's a very good salad. my favorite part is the thinly sliced celery pieces. it has a bunch of varying greens, celery, avocado, cucumber. all dressed in a lemony dressing. it's very simplistic and that's why I think it's so good. it's quite large, and would be a great "for the table" order so that everyone has some fresh bites with their rich entrees. Welsh Rarebit: my favorite. if you don't know what welsh rarebit is, it's basically fancy cheese toast. think proper fondue cheese with Worcestershire, mustard, maybe guinness, melted on a thick piece of toast. so an open faced fancy grilled cheese. it's two big slices of toast. could easily be shared for the table but I prefer my own order. if you get this I recommend also getting the dandelion salad and eating them together. Chocolate Set: I haven't tried their other desserts, but I just know they are a waste of time compared to this. the chocolate set is a dense chocolate mousse with earl gray ice cream, chocolate nibs, and a few orange slices. it's so simple but so so good. texturally, amazing. the smoothness of the mousse with the crunchy nibs is the perfect contrast. the orange is bright, the ice cream is just great on its own and does so well paired with everything else. it can be shared 4 ways if you have demure people. my family of four just orders two and we get half each. that works for us, we would never be able to share one. all in all great service as always, great food, and obviously a gorgeous interior.
