If I can give this company and the owner negative reviews, I would. If any review needed negative reviews, this one does. I prefer giving my hard-earned money to locally-owned businesses, especially minority-owned businesses. So when I met the young owner, Brennen I was especially open to listen. In hindsight, I should have taken his "quick-talking, I don't want to leave until you say yes, car salesmen pitch," as a HELL NO! But, I wanted to support this young entrepreneur, I completely regret it. I told him I wanted 5 windows from the beginning. One upstairs, one in the dinning room and 3 in the basement. Now keep in mind that he NEVER goes to see ANY window. He's too busy talking. Finally, when his people come to measure they reported 6 windows. In which, he called to clarify. I reply, no, its the same windows that we talked about in my house, in the same rooms. After some conversation, he tells me not too worry the price will not change and the error was the fault of the measurer. This includes the dryer vent installation. Mind you, my fiancé was listening to the whole conversation. Here comes the day of the install, which was over a month later. The window with the dryer looked, TACKY. I trusted him when he said that he understood my future renovations. Obviously, he didn't'. But that didn't make me the most livid. It's the fact that a window in a room was not done. When I called, he conveniently didn't remember the conversation, so he won't do it, unless I pay. After refusing to pay because he did not do the complete order, he then proceed to harass and threaten to take my house. He then threaten to not give me nothing and take my house if I left a bad review. After the bank that he worked with called, they were concerned about the possibility of the manipulation and threats to me and proceeded to contact the owner to discuss how business works I assume. After the back and forth he finally decided to do the original contract. Experience, makes a difference. Don't make the same mistake as me. Get yourself a more experienced and professional installer that is not just the middle man sales man making a commission. read more

I had possibly the worst customer service experience of my life with this company. I very clearly submitted a request for interior French doors for my office including a picture. The office administrator called and said no problem and set up an estimate appointment. She even called back the day before to "confirm the appointment for my office French doors". 30 minutes before the appointment I get a voicemail and text saying they have to cancel because the sales manager is "stuck in Anne Arundel County" but can provide me a quote via email as I sent a picture. I then get a call 30 minutes later from the sales manager who tells me he didn't want to "waste his gas" and then proceeds to tell me they don't do interior doors, only exterior doors. Why they didn't tell me this in the first place is beyond me. He then proceeded to not let me speak as he speed talked over me trying to act like he was doing me a favor when I had already taken off work for the appointment. He proceeded to call me "buddy" multiple times in a sarcastic manor, basically screwing with me. I hung up. He calls back to continue. I tell him not to contact me again....he then proceeds to TEXT me to try and continue to needle me. I believe his name was Brandon or Brendan. Complete clown. This review is long overdue, we found Green Energy when we were looking to replace windows and to install new windows for a new construction back in Sept. 2021. It was by far not a small job, as we had over 45 windows on our house. We had met with 5 other window companies, but Green Energy stood out. From our first meeting with Brennen, he was attentive in answering any questions we had in regards to our project. What we liked about his company was that it was a small business that was solely focused on installing windows and doors. Not only that, but we felt that Brennen was personable and attentive to the details to our project. His price was reasonable compared to the other companies we met with. What we also liked about Brennen was that he guaranteed that he would be the person we'd go to in order to receive updates about our order. Nothing like other big companies where you feel like you're just a number. Brennen knew we had to have our windows installed as soon as possible, in order to proceed with our home renovation. This was stressful to say the least, but communicating our concerns to Brennen, he helped us receive our order earlier than the expected delivery date. Apparently, Mr. Calloway wasn't happy with the way I filled out my Thumbtack service request. Not having an option to state "door repair", I selected "door replace" with a comment at the bottom stating this was for a repair. He called my wife to set up an estimate, but once learning this wasn't a replacement (and just a repair), decided to be rude on the phone with her. He then responded to my Thumbtack request by stating: "We invest a lot in our lead generation and just a small request that we ask is to make sure your request are accurate so we are not investing into leads that do not have any opportunity we appreciate that." -Brennen Calloway Who says that to a potential new customer? We got a quote for replacement of a sliding glass door and one window that had begun to develop condensation. Got the quote for them both based on paying cash for the install and provided a deposit via check with the remaining balance being quoted as a cash payment via check. Slider and window were installed and the installation crew was great and very efficient. In and out within 3 hours. Install crew indicated that they did not take payment so reached out to company and they advised someone would contact us. Received a phone call about payment and we indicated that we were paying with a check. Person on the phone indicated that would entail them having to drive out and pick up the check which seem to create an inconvenience for them and that they would just send invoice via email to pay. Well invoice arrived via email and now had an additional 3.5% for the CC fee tacked on even though the contract indicated that we were doing a cash payment. Would have been nice to know that even though we were doing a cash deal to get a better price we still would have to pay the 3.5% CC fee due to the fact that some one had to physically pick up the check. Might want to inform customers of that when in the initial discussion stages especially when it comes to the bottom line number. read more

Green Energy LLC installed windows in my home in April 2015. I previously had eight windows installed by Long Fence on the front of my house in February 2013, and I thought I received a good deal with them. After an eight hour install with a seven man crew, I loved the windows and was pleased with the work. In March of 2015 I decided to get the remaining seven windows done and started anticipated going back to Long Fence, but Green Energy LLC showed up and not only beat Long Fence's price, but Window World and Home Depot. On the day of install, three workers showed up to install all seven windows and I anticipated the install to take eight hours or longer since in in took Long Fence that long with a seven man crew. I went into the living room to give them space to work and within an hour and a half they were done and cleaning up. I was amazed!!! I love my Green Energy LLC windows more than I like the ones I purchased with Long Fence. I paid half of what I paid with Long, the installed was super-fast and the customer service was outstanding. read more

Worst consultation experience ever! There were many things that went wrong with my consultation with Brennen, but the thing that stuck with me was the disrespect he showed when going over payment of services. When I told him that I would be paying with a check he kept talking to me like a child and kept explaining what paying with a check means like he didn't believe that I could make that type of payment. Found this contractor via Thumbtack. He called to schedule the appointment for an estimate and he would not agree to come out unless both, my wife and I, were present at the time of appointment. His reasoning for it was since she will be involved in the decision making process she has to be there. This bizarre conversation went on for a bit and he kept getting more and more annoyed with me trying to explain that both of us work and it's hard to get both of us present. So much for accommodating the client. He's apparently too busy to entertain the idea of giving an estimate to only one of the decision makers. read more

In October 2017, I hired Green Energy LLC to install 6 new windows and 2 new sliding doors in my home that I recently purchased. Brennen came to my home and give a great presentation of the products and services his company provides. He was super professional and extremely knowledgeable. The contractors were at my home in the next two weeks to take measurements and within a month they were back out to complete the installation. Installation took less than 6 hours and the contractors were professional, quick, and neat. The day after my installation, Brennen called me to make sure I was satifsied with the installation and the service. I couldn't be more happier with the service and the products. I love my new energy-efficient windows and sliding doors. They have helped with my energy bill and are a great investment. I wanted to replace as many of my many windows and double glass doors as possible within my budget. Brennan not only drove way out to my rural home several times, he also worked with me to get as much as possible for the money I had available, and finally gave me a price for the remaining windows and doors that will not expire for another year. His presentation was very informative and interesting, and also pleasant and comfortable with no hard sell pressure. Do plan to be talking to him for quite a while if you have to discuss a big job. The windows and double glass doors were installed two days ago, much more quickly than I had imagined. The workers who installed them were on time, polite and good-natured, and even did some repair work below one of my glass doors where they discovered wetness, all for the stated price on the contract with no extra charge. One of them also made sure I knew how to operate the swing-out windows and the locks on the doors before they left. I usually choose to deal with local individuals rather than larger companies for work on my home nowadays, but I can't imagine a better experience with any other company. One caveat, which has to do with the company providing the financing, not with Green Energy itself: although I have an excellent credit rating over 800 and little debt, I could not get the 1-year-same-as-cash financing because (I assume) I don't have a normal career, but instead get most of my income from renting a couple of apartments in my home and one other house. But Brennan helped me split the order into two parts, half now and half next year, at the same price he had offered me before. The windows look great and operate smoothly. I saw another review saying Brennan was rude...this is hard for me to believe, after working closely with him around several problems (the financing, my being out of town and having to schedule the work only for one specific day, my living so far out in a rural area) and having him always respond good-naturedly and very helpfully to my needs. read more

I received several quotes for the installation of Provia (high quality) exterior doors and none of them came close to Green Energy. Ive had another exterior door before and it felt like it took all day; however, Green Energy's crew was done in about 2 hours (cleanup included). Green Energy installed my mother's 2 front entry way doors. The doors were nice but there were some installation issues that were never addressed. I was not pleased that after the doors were installed and the money was paid Green Energy acted as if they didn't owe us anything else. This is very unsettling and I am extremely disappointed with the lack of follow-up/customer service. This is huge in my book and when you are spending thousands of dollars on a door, a company should make absolutely sure to the best of its ability that it has tried to resolve any and all customer concerns. It is for this reason that I would not recommend Green Energy, LLC to anyone else at this time. read more
