I recently needed my HVAC system checked out as it was not pumping out cold air. I was fed up with the constant up-sell tactics of McCarthy Services. Every time they showed up at my house to conduct my annual HVAC inspection/maintenance in the Spring and the Furnace inspection/maintenance in the Autumn - they were more interested in trying to sell me thousands of dollars of new equipment and systems - rather than do the work they were contracted to do per the terms of the pre-paid maintenance agreement. After checking with some friends, based on their recommendations - I decided to try out Wesley Brooks of Green Home Energy Solutions. He is a small, local HVAC business. Wesley showed up, checked everything out, found the problem and quickly addressed it. He told me whomever had been doing the previous maintenance had been doing a poor job. He showed me what he cleaned out of the HVAC service panel outside by the compressor. It clearly had not been cleaned out for years. Wes & his team installed a new heat pump system when our previous HVAC system finally bit the dust at the end of the summer in 2014. The old outside unit was in a terrible location, so they relocated the outside unit to a much better location. This involved re-routing a few things inside & removing some rose bushes -- all of which was done quickly and they left absolutely no mess. The new location is perfect, as is the new system. The final touch was a nice new thermostat they installed. Throughout the whole process were were no surprises, no added expenses, no delays, everything was done just as promised.
