Green olive never disappoints. Service was nice and the restaurant was clean. We prefer the fresh bread to start and both enjoyed the gyro platter. Meat, rice and veggies were all seasoned good especially the lamb! Start salads could have had a little more lettuce & pepper. Overall, great experience!

Partially eaten Shepherd's Salad, Olives and Pickled Cabbage

Looking for a healthy lunch before hitting the zoo for the day, we happened by Green Olive and decided to give it a shot. My mom is lebanese, so I'm pretty picky about my Mediterranean meals, but EVERYTHING we tried here was delicious. I ordered the mixed grill kabobs (chose chicken and lamb) which came with a choice of soup or side salad, rice (i substituted for extra vegetables) and grilled mixed vegetables. Pictured is the shepherd's salad. I was so excited about the kabobs, I forgot to take a picture! My friend got the lamb shwarma, which looked incredible, but be aware it comes with a tahini sauce so not as 'healthy' as the kabobs. I also got a side of the pickled cabbage and olives. Not a thing I would change and look SO forward to coming back!! PS - be aware that due to road construction, parking is a mess and there is nothing in front of the restaurant. Without a state permit, you have to find street parking about a block/half block away and walk (but completely worth it!) EDIT: SO good we went back the next day!

We went to eat (on a Saturday) around 5:30 and it was dead. it had me a little worried because my bf said the food is good but I trust him. The waitress took a few minutes to come seat us but once seated, she got our drinks quickly. I ordered a lamb shwarma wrap with a Caesar salad. The salad was good, a bit peppery, and the dressing did seem a little watery but the lettuce was fresh. My wrap was so good, the lamb was tender and I loved the aoli they used as well. I wasn't too crazy about the tomatoes but it gave a nice soury crunch along with the lettuce. I'm not sure of the spice but I believe they use nutmeg for the meat because it tasted a bit cinnamony. Not a bad flavor just very specific. The actual restaurant itself is very beautiful and I love how it is decorated.

We truly enjoyed our dinner here. It was a beautiful day so we chose to dine outside. Merrick was very friendly and provided quality service. The lentil soup wasn't the best but everything else was phenomenal! The hummus and baba ganoush were AWESOME! They also have the best falafel I've ever had! The kofta was moist and flavorful. The vegetables and the dinner were seasoned to perfection and cooked perfectly. We will definitely be back!

    "tabouleh" couscous not bulgur wheat

Continents shift faster than the service we received. This was a horrible experience and NOT Mediterranean food. Another couple arrived after we had placed our order and they had almost finished their entrees and our schwarma (posted as "the special") was still no where to be seen when I finally asked for them to be boxed as we still had NOT received them. Tabouleh is green, bulgar wheat and parsley based. This was faux- bouleh, our waitress informed us Tabouleh is couscous based - bless her heart. The lentil soup was bland watered down hospital tasting soup with no lentils seen. The hummus we couldn't eat. The pita was edible, the wine was ok but we received no wine discount as advertised on Thursdays night for his wine. Do NOT eat here, do not waste your time and money!

    Tabbouleh

Terrible they do not know what tabbouleh is, came out cous cous. Terrible service, lived in Middle East, this was terrible, do NOT eat here

    Extra gyro meat

A coworker recommended this spot which is within walking distance of our office for Greek food. Unfortunately for him, we decided to try this spot on a day his wasn't working. He was correct in his assessment, this place is very good. I ordered the gyro platter but wasn't sure how much meat in would get with it so o ordered an extra order of meat. I would have been satisfied with the original order. The platter was plentiful and delicious. We will be back.

Great Food! The Chicken Shawarma is a must try. Knowledgeable waitress. We highly recommend Green Olive!

It's difficult to find good sausage for pizza anywhere and this place has it on their menu. Their pizza crust is actual pizza dough not the cardboard pizza dough that you get at other pizza restaurants. Along with a nice Italian Peroni lager on tap, this is the perfect place for pizza.

We got there about 20 minutes after opening and sat in one of the booths. The waiter took our orders quickly and brought out our drinks. We ordered 3 personal pizzas and a steak and cheese sub. We had one plain cheese pizza, a Supreme personal pizza and a build your own personal pizza with pepperoni, onions and mushrooms. We also ordered one small Garden salad. 1 sweet tea, 2 waters and a diet coke. The salad was excellent. Crispy cold lettuce with fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, two types of cheese and good croutons with ranch dressing. The steak and cheese sub came out and we were surprised when wee saw the bread. We were expecting a regular style hoagie bun or baguette type bun, but looked almost like a pita bread from the top. I asked the waiter what type of bread it was and he said they make their own bread. It was excellent. Looked like a naan bread almost. She ordered jalapeno's on it and it was excellent. Said she'd order it again. The pizzas were good. I had the supreme and the sausage was real good. We all agreed that the crust and cheese were very good. Two of us thought the sauce was different and must've had something it it, as they didn't rave over the sauce. I had the supreme and there were so many toppings that I didn't pay much attention to the sauce. Mine was very good. We were surprised that they only offer two sizes of pizzas...personal and large. Large is $24.95 and personals are around $14.95. They have a good selection of pizzas. Our one complaint was the pricing. They charge $2.00 for toppings and $3.00 got premier toppings. It's the same charge for either the personal or large pizzas. Our personal Cheese pizza (with no toppings) was $9.50. My personal Supreme pizza was $14.95 (which contained mushrooms, onions, pepperoni, bacon, black olives and green pepper) while my wife ordered just a personal pepperoni with onions ($2) and mushrooms ($3), totaling $15. Seems like they'd charge less for toppings on a personal size than on a large! My bill as $43.97 before the tip. Our neighbors bill for their pizza, sandwich and drink was $32.59 before tip. They were charged $4 for jalapeno's on the side and slices of tomato.

We made the stop after taking a tour of the state capitol - which we also highly recommend! The place is huge with ample seating inside and out. And the setting? It couldn't be better! Especially for anyone who likes airports, airplanes, old buildings, trains, or just unique locations. The food... we ordered the Garlic Knots, Mediterranean Pizza, and a Pepperoni Pizza, and were not disappointed. The Garlic Knots - freshly made, good quality dough. We almost went back and ordered a second order of 'em. The pizzas? We loved them! My son said the bottom could've been a little bit crisper, but otherwise, the quality of the ingredients was good, and both tasted great. The Brews... we enjoyed two flights, not bad overall. Our favorite one out of the bunch was the ESB. It's their Red Ale, and it was a good one! The raspberry sour was also a pretty good drink. The other brews, not bad, but also not the best we've had. Overall, a great place to stop when visiting the city, and it's a great place for friends, families, old and young. I would gladly stop in again if I'm ever in the area.

They have plenty of seating indoor and out, it's very open, clean, staff is friendly, clean bathrooms. My husband and I are gluten free and we noticed a lot of breweries have been doing gluten reduced beers so we decided to check them out and see if maybe they offered that. They had a few cider options so we went with those - not their own however. They also offered pizza and some appetizers. We decided just to get the bean dip, nothing special, pretty generic. Overall an ok experience just not something to visit again.
