Pita Bread, Maison Rice, Broccoli Medley, Garlic Sauce & Yummy Original Rotisserie Chicken

Decided to eat a healthy dinner tonight and "Chicken Maison" Mediterranean food was the choice. It did not disappoint. The original rotisserie seasoning is so good. The sides are pretty good too. The customer service is good and the meal prep time is quick. The Torrance Restaurant has indoor and outdoor dining. There is a parking lot available. If you are looking for a healthy meal with hormone free chicken, give them a try. It's worth it.

This place exhibited stellar service and delicious food! Prior to getting seated they take your order at the register, the host did an amazing job at breaking down the menu and even gave us a sample of their spicy lemon sauce with pita bread on the side. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I ordered their chicken kabob, perfectly cooked, with their lemon dressing on the side. The gyros were super delicious too, with a small kick to top it off.

I ordered through Uber Eats and always enjoy my meals. The chicken seemed slightly less moist, which wasn't terrible, just something to note. The salmon was properly prepared and paired nicely with the rice pilaf. Hopefully an option will be available to customize the steamed veggies, as I cannot digest more than a few broccoli florets. With generous portions and delicious food, I am a regular customer!

Chicken Maisons are the best! It is so wonderful to see them expand to other locations (now some in OC!). We have been enjoying their chicken since they opened their first location, the chicken, the garlic sauce, OMG. First time coming to this location. As expected food and service was consistently great! I ordered a Chicken Feast in advance for pick-up. It was packed and ready upon my arrival. Even packed inside a reusable tote! Nice e touch! The food traveled from Torrance to Long Beach and still warm and tasty! We like to get a feast, great value, and we have a few yummy meals to enjoy. Feast comes with two whole chickens, 4 sides, pita, and their famous garlic sauce! The chicken pieces were so big and juicy! Sides were all great (Maison Rice, Humus, Mediterranean Cole Slaw, Green Salad). Looking forward to another great meal with the leftovers! Service was great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking in this shopping center.

Always a good experience at chicken Maison. Staff is friendly and accommodating. I ordered the spicy lemon garlic chicken and my daughter got the alfredo with the tiger shrimp. We requested no sun dried tomatoes only broccoli. So yummy.

Update: I've been here three more times and I still love it. However, be aware, they do NOT have a restroom!!! TF? Not cool guys, not cool.

Shortly after posting my yelp review on Chicken Maison (Torrance/Vermont location), I was encouraged to see a reply from their business manager offering to look into my concerns. Namely, the obtrusive whole stalk of romaine lettuce in the gyro sandwich, and the fact that their ginger lemon rotisserie chicken was unavailable to order via Grubhub. Less than two weeks later I was delighted to find that they had revised their Grubhub menu to include the aforementioned chicken and some other items too. There was also a new menu picture of the gyro sandwich, which had been renamed to a "wrap," revealing that the large leaf of romaine was now gone! I was so excited to see my review suggestions result in actual menu changes that I couldn't even wait until our usual grubhub day (Saturday), and we placed a dinner order on Tuesday, January 20. This may have been our undoing. I ordered my usual favorite spicy gyro "wrap" and of course, the ginger lemon rotisserie chicken which I was eager to try for the first time. My wife ordered her favorite steak & veggie kabob, which she told me she had been craving for weeks. She got the shrimp kabob last time, so it had been awhile since she had her CM steak fix. I wish I could muster the words to adequately describe the heart-wrenching look of dismay and disappointment on her face when our order arrived and we opened up the bag to find no steak kabob, but a chicken kabob instead! She's not a big fan of chicken, especially "dry, bland breast meat," as she put it. This poor steakless woman was utterly crestfallen, and all I could do was repeatedly apologize to her, feeling like it was my fault. I can't even imagine how such a mistake could be made; they're two entirely different proteins! Was this an act of sheer incompetence, or did they run out of steak and deem chicken to be an acceptable substitute? (It's not) As for my gyro, I was discouraged they didn't go for my diced cucumber idea, or even allow it as an option, but at least they were chopping the lettuce now. It's still a bit wilty and slimy however, so not much of an improvement really. But I gave it an honest chance, dousing it in tzatziki and taking a big juicy bite. Boy, was I in for a nasty surprise! While chewing the first bite, I immediately began to detect a weird soapy taste. My mind wouldn't accept it at first; "why would my favorite sandwich that I've enjoyed so many times suddenly taste like soap?" In stubborn disbelief I choked down another bite, and yes I was definitely tasting soap even stronger now! I began to dissect my gyro, systematically picking out and tasting individual components one by one. The tzatziki tasted like tzatziki. The meat tasted like meat. The onion tasted like onion. The tomato tasted like tomato. The lettuce tasted like... soap! I asked my wife to try a piece of the lettuce, and she tasted soap as well, so I know I wasn't imagining it. At this point I realize that I've got to pick all these nasty chunks of lettuce out of my gyro, and I'm kicking myself because I previously needed only to remove one giant leaf of lettuce. But now, because I opened my big stupid mouth in a yelp review, I have to pick out numerous unwanted little soapy lettuce bits! It was a classic case of 'be careful what you wish for.' I am at a total loss to explain why my gyro lettuce tasted like soap. I know that I don't have the "cilantro gene" (aldehyde sensitivity), not that the gyro contains cilantro. The Mediterranean fries have cilantro, but I didn't eat any of those until after the gyro, and they tasted fine. A bit overcooked and dry, maybe, but not soapy. I haven't seen any other complaints about soapy lettuce, so I can't imagine that Chicken Maison washes their lettuce with soap; do they? Is that even a thing? I'm very curious about how this happened and I'm hoping the Chicken Maison management team can look into it and shed some light on it for me, as they seem very conscientious and responsive to customer feedback, which I appreciate. The one bright spot in this otherwise awful experience was the ginger lemon rotisserie chicken, which I found to be mouthwateringly delicious! Ginger can be a bold spice, but here the flavor was mellow and not too pungent or overpowering. The skin of the chicken had a sticky subtle sweetness to it, as if it had been kissed by a honeyed glaze. This balanced perfectly against the savory zest of the lemon, garlic, scallion and ginger, making for a heavenly bite. Indeed, this might just be my new favorite flavor. Should we decide to venture another order in the future however, we'll stick to our usual Saturday night. Chicken Maison's Tuesday team really dropped the ball!

We visited on a weekday -picked up a to-go lunch order. Parking was easy. Had to wait a few mins for my order. We got the whole Spicy Lemon Garlic Chicken with falafel and humus. The chicken was very tender and flavorful-- 5 stars! Humus was also good. Pita bread and falafel were just okay -- 3.5/5.

It's been a few months since my last visit and just wow. Customer service as soon as I walked in was amazing. It was nice and cool inside and super clean. I went with my go to gyro plate and it was so dang delicious. Portions and price point are great and the sauces they give you are out of this world. The garlic sauce and tzatziki are my go to choices with my meal. I also got a baklava to go which comes in these nicely packed containers with the syrup on the side. I wish this restaurant had locations in the 562 cause I would be there quite often.

I've never eaten in, but I've picked up food from here twice and have enjoyed their food at my sister's house at least one other time. The first thing I don't understand is how this place is in Torrance rather than Redondo Beach. I don't mean that I don't understand why they chose Torrance over Redondo Beach; I mean that I just don't understand the two cities' boundaries very well, because this feels like straight-up North Redondo to me. The second thing I don't understand is how this place hasn't expanded or multiplied or otherwise won the hearts and minds and stomachs of South Bayers near and far. But maybe it already has. The third thing I don't understand is why I don't come here more often. It's not that far from my sister's house, and I was dog-sitting there earlier this year. . . . I'm fresh out of things I don't understand. What I do understand is that the owners of this place (an Armenian brother and sister?) are amazing. The food is so good and fresh and flavorful. The menu is kind of all over the place, which in most cases is a red flag, but in the case of more than one restaurant owned and operated by Armenians (I'm including my cousin's restaurant before he sold it and retired), the more different items on the menu, the better. Or at least it's not a red flag. I promise. The combo deal is legit, but even without that deal, the prices are good, especially when you consider the food quality. Writing his review now makes me miss King Mediterrano even though I don't normally miss it or think about it. Those days are over. Next time I have calories to collect in the South Bay, I'm headed straight for Redondo Beach Boulevard.

I wanted to follow up my very short review that I wrote about this restaurant over a decade ago as I have continued to frequent this restaurant and I have always enjoyed their food. What they offer here is a really nice selection of Mediterranean-based cuisine. They always use the best ingredients, and the food always arrives with a great presentation. Mostly, the food here tastes very-very good. And, isn't that the right reason you actually go to a restaurant in the first place? This is a family-owned and operated business. From this, you can really tell that everybody who works here really cares about the restaurant and the customers. Thus, it's always a great dining experience. Their menu offers a really nice selection of everything from gyro's to kebabs onto salads and the like. There's a really nice choice of both entrées and side dishes for you to choose from. The one thing I will say about this establishment, and this is certainly not a criticism, but whenever you eat here, they always keep the food coming. Whether it is the pita chips, the pita bread, the whatever, when you leave here you are going to be very-very full. This restaurant is located just off of Hawthorne Boulevard and a block from PCH. Thus, it's very easy to find. In terms of parking they have a parking lot over to one side of the building. You could always find a spot there. They also have a number of spots on the street, in front of the restaurant. This is where I always prefer to park. Easy in, easy out. Overall, if you're looking for some great Mediterranean-based food, this is the place to go. You will not be disappointed.

The menu also features traditional Pakistani, Persian, and Arabic dishes, such as Beef Nihari and Haleem. After several visits, here are my thoughts on some of their grilled meats and desserts. Beef Kofta - 3/5. The kofta was a bit dry and tough. I wish it had more fat and seasoning to make it juicier and more flavorful. The grilling is also somewhat inconsistent--sometimes the kofta comes out beautifully browned, while other times it's over-charred. Grilled Fish - 4/5. This is easily my favorite item on the menu and, in my opinion, their best dish. The fish is seasoned just enough to enhance its natural flavor without overpowering it. It's grilled very well, developing a beautiful golden-brown crust while remaining moist and tender inside. Beef Shish Kebab - 3.5/5. The quality of the beef is decent, especially considering the price. Given the cut of meat they use, they've done a commendable job with the grilling. The beef has a solid seasoning base and a nice sear with just enough char to add flavor without becoming overly smoky. It's reasonably tender, though I wish it retained a bit more juiciness. Chicken Shish Kebab - 3.5/5. Very similar to the beef shish kebab. It has good flavor and is grilled well, but it could benefit from being a little juicier. Gyro - 2/5. Unfortunately, this was the biggest disappointment. The gyro meat on the vertical spit often appears to be rotating without enough heat to properly caramelize and crisp the exterior. As a result, the meat comes across as dry, rubbery, and lacking the rich roasted flavor that makes a great gyro. Kunafa (Knafeh) - 3/5. This dessert has both strengths and weaknesses. The cheese filling has a pleasant, slightly salty flavor and a creamy texture, and I appreciate that it isn't overly sweet. However, the syrup is underwhelming. A good kunafa should be generously coated with a fragrant sugar syrup - ideally infused with rose water or orange blossom water - to provide sweetness and aroma. I also wish the kataifi, the shredded pastry dough, were crispier and lighter to create a better contrast with the gooey cheese filling. Overall, Al Hamra Kabob Grill is one of the better places to enjoy Middle Eastern-style grilled dishes in the South Bay. While a few menu items could be improved, the grilled fish stands out as excellent, and the shish kebabs are solid choices. The owner is also incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a warm, neighborhood atmosphere that keeps customers coming back. It's not perfect, but it's a restaurant I enjoy visiting from time to time and one I'd recommend if you're craving grilled Middle Eastern flavors.

The baba gannouj lacked its signature smoky flavor, the hummus was disappointing, and the pita was cold and thin. Additionally, the garlic sauce was not to our liking, and while the beef skewer had a good texture, it was under-seasoned. We were also told that potatoes were unavailable because the fryer was being cleaned. Regarding the service, we waited 30 minutes for our order. When I checked on the status after 20 minutes, the counter staff informed me it would be brought out when ready. However, 10 minutes later, our number was called and we had to collect the food ourselves for dine-in. There was about 4 people eating there, but I saw many to go orders go while where there(maybe the reason for the slow service). very spacious and the tvs where nice to have with low volume so you could have a conversation without yelling. I have previously visited your Compton location and found the food there to be delicious, so I hope this feedback is helpful for maintaining that same standard at this location.
