I'm a regular here, and I absolutely LOVE their berry smoothies. In our world today, which is so full of quick, convenient premade meals, ultra-processed food, and large portion sizes, eating healthily is SUCH a challenge! People often say you have to chose between taste and healthiness, but here, you don't have to. I get a berry smoothie literally four times a week or so for my eye health and overall health, and it's one of the FEW things on Earth that is both healthy and not punishing for the taste buds. The shop is always very clean, and the employees are clearly very dedicated to their work and really care that their customers have a great experience every time. These days, I just walk in and they know my order. I've come in when the shop was filled to the brim with lunch and drink orders, and they STILL managed to make my smoothie just how I like it, despite the massive stress and pressure they must have been under during that time. Additionally, one time, I mumbled a question, and the employees weren't sure of what I had said and were busy. The next day, I came in when it was less busy, and one of the ladies working there followed up and asked what I had meant, even though she didn't have to remember or follow up. Undoubtedly, service and the drink qualities are what keep me coming back. I can have little else but water drink-wise, so having this place in my near-daily routine is a huge relief. read more

First, 5 stars for the friendly, hard-working staff. I wasn't impressed by the caesar salad wrap. I had no idea there was eggs and croutons in it. That was a first...and last!! I couldn't figure out if the lettuce was wet or caesar dressing too thin. Whatever the case, the wrap got soft and began to tear and drip. The dressing may as well not have been in the wrap because it had NO flavor at all! I chose the lentil soup as my side. For the first try, it wasn't bad. Will I return? I highly doubt it. read more

**The ONLY review you need to read.** I was exploring the area around my school(CSUDH) for new, healthy foods to try. That's when I first stumbled upon the gem that is Salads2000. I wasn't expecting much from a salad bar, but when I walked in I was met with a seemingly never-ending variety of salads and very fresh looking (and smelling) toppings. Not only do they specialize in tasteful salads, they also rotate specials each day (tacos, ceviche, baked potatoes, etc). To accompany one of these delicious options, they also serve smoothies made from fresh fruits and vegetables that they purchase every morning. And I STRONGLY, STRONGLY recommend that you walk out with one of these! I guarantee after one of these smoothies, you will stop drinking at any commercial eatery. They also have samples available for the smoothies before you buy them. I cannot say enough great things about this place. So much that my only regret about transferring to my dream university in Long Beach is that I am far from this location and they close early. I truly you truly give this place a shot :) read more

My husband and I work near by and come here alot. Their salads are always fresh, and delicious. We've never had one that wasn't! They have a large selection of salad options, all made fresh to order, not made ahead and sitting in a cooler. They also have delicious soups, pasta salad, baked potatoes with asorted toppings, and fresh made juices. On Fridays, they have fish Ceviche! It is SO good and a favorite of ours. With so many unhealthy options to choose from, this place is a gem and really is the only place in the neighborhood to get fresh, whole foods that are not processed, full of fat, salt, and sugar. This is by far my favorite lunch spot. The food is so fresh and the place is very clean. I always build my own salad: Mixed greens, kale, and spinach, beets, mushrooms, chickpeas, tomatoes, olives, apples, strawberries, tangerine slices, quinoa, sunflower seeds, and I get a mix of jalapeño dressing And balsamic vinaigrette. The staff was friendly, the place is clean, and the menu is made up of all greens. Hence the name of this place. So if you don't like vegetables, this place is not for you. I forget the name of the salad I ordered, but I chose it because of the bacon & avocado. It was probably a Cobb salad. I got it with ranch and a little bit of some green sauce (jalapeño cilantro I think). The green sauce gave it a good kick of heat. Next time, I'll try more of it with another salad. The portions are huge. It's big enough to eat for 2 meals (lunch & dinner in my case). I'd gladly return here for my next salad fix. read more

Finding a place to eat in Compton's Warehouse Area? This place is AOK. the food, primarily salad-type products, are not bad...especially for the area. I have had a few items here. No big woop. Typical salad spot. They have a wide selection with the ability to build your own salad as well. They also sell a limited variety of fresh juices. My husband and I both made our own salads. They give a fair amount of lettuce but all other add ins (cheese, carrots, tomatoes, etc) are portioned way too small. I literally had to say "could you give me more of that" for each item going into my salad or it would have been just a big serving of lettuce with a teaspoon of each other item. For $10+ bucks per salad, I expect more than a spoonful of cheese, tomatoes, etc. The dressings were ok. Overall my husband and I felt we could have gotten a better salad across the street from the Green Olive for almost half the price. The place is small-- maybe 8 people can eat inside but with COVID that isn't an option. There are 4 tables seating 2 each outside but those are shared with the pizza place next door. Ill start by the two nice ladies up front that greeted me with a nice warm hello. I placed my order on yelp for pick up. I arrived 6 minutes early and the ceviche was already served and waiting in the refrigerator for me. I told this kind lady that this was my first time here and was hoping that the ceviche is as good as the reviews. She asked me "Do you want a sample" (I love that) and I said No just because I ordered a large and ill wait to get back to work to hopefully be surprised! As for the ceviche, I am more than pleased! I can't really give the ceviche 5 stars because Ive had better, BUT WELL WORTH 4 STARS!! I'm already waiting till next Friday to go back and order the same. I had ordered a Cobb salad (taste like nothing) very little itty bitty bites of egg mixed around and pieces of chicken. (Not real blue cheese dressing either) Wouldn't order again. The taco spud (baked potato) was actually very tasty! But the tuna salad potato (baked potato) was disgusting, don't know what made me order it sounded weird from the start. Not very many eateries to choose from in the Compton warehouse district, but Salads 2000 isn't a terrible place to satisfy your health fix. In fact I think they may be the only place. For $6-$8, you get a styrofoam full of a wide selection of salads. Set up like a buffet, the workers pick the ingredients out for you. Or if you don't like their menu selection, you can always customize your own salad and dressing. They even throw in few pieces of pita bread at no extra charge. So far I've got the Chinese chicken salad, the tuna salad, and chicken salad. All equally delicious. I can never finish the entire salad, so $6 for lunch and leftovers is pretty good on my wallet. read more

This place is pretty great. If you like salads and baked potatoes then go there. The salads are gigantic and filling and delicious. They don't use iceberg lettuce either, which is nice. I am a fan of the high protien with chicken salad w/ blue cheese dressing. This place is a beacon of tasty somewhat healthy food in an area that specializes in cheap greasy deep fried food. Not that I am all about healthy food, but just some days I don't feel like eating a meal so greasy that it comes with a free and unwanted colon cleanse that makes you spend the afternoon on the toilet sweating as liquid shit rockets from your sore ass while you're at work hoping to Christ none of your co-workers are in the bathroom when you walk out of the stall because it sound and smelled like you were slaughtered water buffalo in there; which is an offer in the small print on the menus of most of places in the area.
