    Chicken & Steak Kebab Plate
    Rachel H.

Ordered this through DoorDash and it was really good. I ordered the chicken & steak kebab and both were delicious. The rice and Cesar salad weren't my favorite. I will be back for chicken and steak wraps and maybe some French fries. Garlic sauce was really good as well.

Good place for Middle Eastern marinated meats. Beef or chicken kabobs; beef or chicken spit roasted schwerma; falafel; & various sides can be ordered as a la carte, wraps, & plates. Inside dining was closed; we ordered Take out. The plate meals are made generous & abundant. The beef & chicken schwermas were seasoned well & tasted good, but the meats were overcooked & dry.

Great food and great service!! The shop was a cute little place, there were no seats we just picked up the food. Arash served us and he was so friendly! He offered to give us extra sauces since it was our first time there. The portions were very generous. The chicken shawarma plate had a lot of flavor in the chicken, not dry at all. The steak kebab was also really good and flavorful, but we liked the chicken one better since it felt like more meat. All the sauces tasted really fresh.

From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the staff. Being our first visit, we asked for recommendations, and one of the team members went above and beyond to share his favorites, popular dishes, and how flexible the menu is for customizing plates. His service was outstanding, and our food was ready in under 15 minutes! Now, the food--wow! Every dish was incredibly delicious, bursting with flavor, perfectly seasoned, and the chicken was so tender. The portions were generous and super filling. It's no wonder this place has such a high rating! Exceptional service and amazing food make this spot a must-visit. We can't wait to return and highly recommend giving it a try!

New to the area and came across this gem on Yelp -- so glad I did! The food was incredibly fresh, with authentic flavors that really stood out. I was warmly welcomed by the owner, Arash, who took the time to walk me through the menu and even offered a complimentary hummus appetizer to try. His hospitality and passion for the food were clear from the start. I'll definitely be coming back -- highly recommend giving this place a try. You won't be disappointed!

Amazing food, halal, friendly staff... Arash the owner/manager was really welcoming and had everything made fresh to order... great hole in the wall spot for super flavorful Mediterranean style food...

This little hole in the wall has THE best Mediterranean food of all the places I've tried. The service was very friendly and nice. We were a bit confused about how to place our order at the kiosk but the young man behind the counter was very helpful with his guidance. Orders are only taken at the kiosk inside or online. Food is pick up or to go only as there are no tables for dining.

Another great yelp find! Located in a small plaza, we decided to give them a try for dinner. We ordered their shawarma combo and kebab combo. It was our first time so, we wanted to try a bit of everything. The owner was super nice and explained the menu. He also gave us a side of hummus to try. Wow, the rice and meats were so flavorful. We liked the shawarma a bit better than the kebabs but both were delish. The star of the show was the hummus. Wow, it was so good. Creamy, vibrant, fresh is what comes to mind. Everything is made fresh and in house so it might take a few minutes. All good things are worth the wait. It's best to call in your order if you're on a time crunch. Enjoy!

Shawarma combo. it's loaded and delicious. $20 well spent

I wanted to try something new after visiting my dentist nearby and found this place. It's a very small place with no inside or outside dining. It is a takeout only place. You walk in and order on a tablet, but the owner is there and he is super friendly and helpful. I ordered the shawarma combo with rice and does fatoush and it was easily thr best shawarma I have had in the south bay. It was a generous portion and their chili sauce was also very good! For $20, I say this was definitely worth it for what I got compared to other similar places. I highly recommend this place, especially if you love Mediterranean food! Small recommendation to the owner! Wrap the pita separately so it doesn't get soggy in the container with the meat and rice. Was not a big deal, but it would help a bit!

I've never eaten in, but I've picked up food from here twice and have enjoyed their food at my sister's house at least one other time. The first thing I don't understand is how this place is in Torrance rather than Redondo Beach. I don't mean that I don't understand why they chose Torrance over Redondo Beach; I mean that I just don't understand the two cities' boundaries very well, because this feels like straight-up North Redondo to me. The second thing I don't understand is how this place hasn't expanded or multiplied or otherwise won the hearts and minds and stomachs of South Bayers near and far. But maybe it already has. The third thing I don't understand is why I don't come here more often. It's not that far from my sister's house, and I was dog-sitting there earlier this year. . . . I'm fresh out of things I don't understand. What I do understand is that the owners of this place (an Armenian brother and sister?) are amazing. The food is so good and fresh and flavorful. The menu is kind of all over the place, which in most cases is a red flag, but in the case of more than one restaurant owned and operated by Armenians (I'm including my cousin's restaurant before he sold it and retired), the more different items on the menu, the better. Or at least it's not a red flag. I promise. The combo deal is legit, but even without that deal, the prices are good, especially when you consider the food quality. Writing his review now makes me miss King Mediterrano even though I don't normally miss it or think about it. Those days are over. Next time I have calories to collect in the South Bay, I'm headed straight for Redondo Beach Boulevard.

Al Hamra Kabob Grill is a restaurant run by a Pakistani owner, specializing in kebabs and grilled…read moremeats inspired by Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine. The menu also features traditional Pakistani, Persian, and Arabic dishes, such as Beef Nihari and Haleem. After several visits, here are my thoughts on some of their grilled meats and desserts. Beef Kofta - 3/5. The kofta was a bit dry and tough. I wish it had more fat and seasoning to make it juicier and more flavorful. The grilling is also somewhat inconsistent--sometimes the kofta comes out beautifully browned, while other times it's over-charred. Grilled Fish - 4/5. This is easily my favorite item on the menu and, in my opinion, their best dish. The fish is seasoned just enough to enhance its natural flavor without overpowering it. It's grilled very well, developing a beautiful golden-brown crust while remaining moist and tender inside. Beef Shish Kebab - 3.5/5. The quality of the beef is decent, especially considering the price. Given the cut of meat they use, they've done a commendable job with the grilling. The beef has a solid seasoning base and a nice sear with just enough char to add flavor without becoming overly smoky. It's reasonably tender, though I wish it retained a bit more juiciness. Chicken Shish Kebab - 3.5/5. Very similar to the beef shish kebab. It has good flavor and is grilled well, but it could benefit from being a little juicier. Gyro - 2/5. Unfortunately, this was the biggest disappointment. The gyro meat on the vertical spit often appears to be rotating without enough heat to properly caramelize and crisp the exterior. As a result, the meat comes across as dry, rubbery, and lacking the rich roasted flavor that makes a great gyro. Kunafa (Knafeh) - 3/5. This dessert has both strengths and weaknesses. The cheese filling has a pleasant, slightly salty flavor and a creamy texture, and I appreciate that it isn't overly sweet. However, the syrup is underwhelming. A good kunafa should be generously coated with a fragrant sugar syrup - ideally infused with rose water or orange blossom water - to provide sweetness and aroma. I also wish the kataifi, the shredded pastry dough, were crispier and lighter to create a better contrast with the gooey cheese filling. Overall, Al Hamra Kabob Grill is one of the better places to enjoy Middle Eastern-style grilled dishes in the South Bay. While a few menu items could be improved, the grilled fish stands out as excellent, and the shish kebabs are solid choices. The owner is also incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a warm, neighborhood atmosphere that keeps customers coming back. It's not perfect, but it's a restaurant I enjoy visiting from time to time and one I'd recommend if you're craving grilled Middle Eastern flavors.

So.. Mediterranean/ Arab type food... have I had it before? I wanted to follow up my very short review that I wrote about this restaurant over a decade ago as I have continued to frequent this restaurant and I have always enjoyed their food. What they offer here is a really nice selection of Mediterranean-based cuisine. They always use the best ingredients, and the food always arrives with a great presentation. Mostly, the food here tastes very-very good. And, isn't that the right reason you actually go to a restaurant in the first place? This is a family-owned and operated business. From this, you can really tell that everybody who works here really cares about the restaurant and the customers. Thus, it's always a great dining experience. Their menu offers a really nice selection of everything from gyro's to kebabs onto salads and the like. There's a really nice choice of both entrées and side dishes for you to choose from. The one thing I will say about this establishment, and this is certainly not a criticism, but whenever you eat here, they always keep the food coming. Whether it is the pita chips, the pita bread, the whatever, when you leave here you are going to be very-very full. This restaurant is located just off of Hawthorne Boulevard and a block from PCH. Thus, it's very easy to find. In terms of parking they have a parking lot over to one side of the building. You could always find a spot there. They also have a number of spots on the street, in front of the restaurant. This is where I always prefer to park. Easy in, easy out.
