After going to the same Mediterranean place over and over we decided to give Vendetta Rossa a try and the best thing it's 2 min away from our place. It's in a busy small shopping center with other small restaurants so it can get a bit busy, but there is extended parking as well. As you walk in it's very small there is no seating so it's mostly pick up but there is a Kiosk and that's where you order your food and Arash comes to the front and greet you and he was so kind and offered help as this was my first time and he guided me. I ordered the Combination plate with chicken and beef shawarma and it came with the rice and the most delicious Fatoosh salad the dressing was to die for and the salad portion was great! The flavor was just amazing, very flavorful with every bite and the pita bread was delicious with the their dipping sauces and the hummus as well. I waited maybe 10 min and then my food was ready. I even got a text to notify that my food was ready so even if to went to wait in your car or go do something quick the notify you and I loved that touch. I WILL def coming back the portions are great and the food is delicious and fresh and made to order. They have a fridge with some drinks as well. Over all I love the concept it's easy to order and food comes out fresh.. if you are looking for some delicious kabobs or Mediterranean food this is your spot here in Lomita. Great food and great service!! The shop was a cute little place, there were no seats we just picked up the food. Arash served us and he was so friendly! He offered to give us extra sauces since it was our first time there. The portions were very generous. The chicken shawarma plate had a lot of flavor in the chicken, not dry at all. You walk in and order on a tablet, but the owner is there and he is super friendly and helpful. I ordered the shawarma combo with rice and does fatoush and it was easily thr best shawarma I have had in the south bay. It was a generous portion and their chili sauce was also very good! For $20, I say this was definitely worth it for what I got compared to other similar places. I highly recommend this place, especially if you love Mediterranean food! Another great yelp find! Located in a small plaza, we decided to give them a try for dinner. We ordered their shawarma combo and kebab combo. It was our first time so, we wanted to try a bit of everything. The owner was super nice and explained the menu. He also gave us a side of hummus to try. Wow, the rice and meats were so flavorful. We liked the shawarma a bit better than the kebabs but both were delish. The star of the show was the hummus. Wow, it was so good. Creamy, vibrant, fresh is what comes to mind. I love this place, it's fast and delicious. It's a ghost kitchen so don't expect to eat in but for take out it's excellent. Portions are large, 2 plates is generally enough for myself, my wife and our 2 young kids. Also the fries are excellent. We usually end up getting Vendetta Rosa at least one night a week. read more

Yum! So I noticed the high ratings for Vendetta Rossa, but I was wary because I didn't want to be disappointed. I fought through that. The place is small and unassuming. It's takeout only. When I drove up and saw it, I wasn't sure it was a good idea. I'm glad I opened the door to this super friendly place. The owner offered suggestions and I read while I waited for the food. When I got home, the container was stuffed with Greek salad, rice, and chicken. The sauces were wrapped tightly so they wouldn't spill. The owner kindly gave me a side of hummus. Not sure why but before I ate, I thought oh boy, it better taste as good as it looks. Still afraid I'd be disappointed...we never have 4.8 Yelp places nearby. Anyway it was delicious. The salad was excellent, the dressing was soooo good. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The pita was perfectly chewy and the rice was very good. The sauces were delicious! The tzatziki was excellent as was the hummus and the salad dressing. It's a definite must. The plate was enormous and can serve 2 so it's worth it. Everything is made fresh. You can order on their touchscreen in store but the convenience of ordering on line from home and just picking it up when you arrive means you're eating in no time. The storefront was bright and well lit and you can see the kitchen and grill upon entering. The welcoming greeting from the young man working the front of house was very friendly. I stumbled on this restaurant because of it's amazing reviews on Google Maps - don't let the 34 reviews and new-ish status of this restaurant fool you - it is the TRUTH. My recommendation: Beef kofta kebab plate with fries and Greek salad. First - the food. My first night here, I got the chicken and beef shawarma combo plate. The entire drive home, the delicious, smoky smell of the chicken shawarma filled my car. The taste was even better. The chicken was tender, smoky, savory, and juicy. The steak provided a nice robust flavor as a counterbalance to the light chicken - also cooked to perfection. Everything is cooked fresh to order and the freshness shows in both flavor and texture. The next night I went back (yes, it was THAT good) and I got the beef kofta kebab plate with fries and a Greek salad. Man, that meal really took it up a notch. The kofta kebab was out of this world. The beef was rich and melt-in-your-mouth buttery, just perfectly textured. The meat seasoned wonderfully with aromatic and fragrant spices. I love kofta kebabs and order them often and these may just be the best ones I've ever had. The fries also were so, so delicious. The seasoning on them took them from normal fries to over the top. Second, the service: I don't think I have ever met an owner/chef who is as passionate about their job as the owner of Vendetta Rossa. The first night, we chatted about his passion for food, his journey to opening his business, and the love he has for cooking. You can tell he really cares about the food.
