But step inside and you'll find an impressive variety of wraps, smoothies, juices, tacos, superfoods, warm dishes, pastries, espresso drinks and plenty of vegan options. Last winter, their chicken tortilla soup was outstanding--rich, comforting, and full of flavor. On my most recent visit (02/21/2026), I ordered a grilled chicken wrap loaded with alfalfa sprouts, cucumbers, tomatoes, onion, olives, hummus, corn, and cayenne pepper. It was genuinely delicious--a word I don't use lightly for food in Chico. The ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, portions were generous, and prices were very reasonable. I also tried the "Monkey Power" smoothie with hemp seeds, white chocolate powder, peanut butter, and banana--wow, it was amazing. I truly appreciate the wide selection of vegetables, fruits, superfoods, and nourishing options they offer. Fresh Twisted Cafe has absolutely become one of my favorite spots in Chico.

This trip, we got a breakfast bagel sandwich, a classic breakfast plate and the daily quiche. We all loved our food. The bagel sandwich was huge and great for taking 1/2 for later. There is a nice outdoor seating area as well as indoor seating. We liked our relaxing breakfast.

Might be difficult to navigate for those with mobility issues, though. It seems to be a popular spot with both young and old patrons. There's an area at the back with what looked like art supplies and things to keep folks entertained. Parking is semi-tight right outside but it's doable even with a midsize SUV. I got there around noon on a Wednesday and it was a little busy but I was the only one in line for about 5 minutes before I ordered and while I ordered. It took a little longer than I expected to get the wrap I ordered, but I didn't mind. The Smokin' Veggie wrap was VERY good, especially when I added some hot sauce (they have several options by the water station at the back)! And it was a great portion, too! I only ate half there and ate the other half later for a late lunch part 2. I had hoped to get a pastry, but I was a bit disappointed with the pastry selection -- it seemed to mostly be muffins and croissants from Costco and Safeway or something. I didn't get a drink this time, but maybe next time. But the wrap was delish! Thanks!

Both meals were hearty, well composed, belly filling without the bloat and grease you'd suffer from a lesser meal at a fast food joint. Server was happy and helpful. The café focuses on vegan and vegetarian dishes that emphasize whole ingredients, bright flavors, and colorful presentation. The atmosphere feels relaxed and community oriented. The interior has a casual café style that encourages people to sit down, enjoy a meal, and spend time talking or working. It has the type of environment you often find in smaller towns where the café becomes part of the neighborhood culture. The menu includes a variety of plant-based options such as bowls, salads, smoothies, and sandwiches. The dishes are thoughtfully put together with a mix of vegetables, grains, and sauces that create balanced flavors and textures. One thing that stood out to me was the freshness of the ingredients. The vegetables tasted vibrant and the meals felt nourishing rather than heavy, which is exactly what you expect from a plant-focused café. Service during my visit was friendly and welcoming, and the overall experience felt relaxed from start to finish. Overall, Nectar Café offers a refreshing option for healthy, plant-based meals in Auburn. If you are looking for fresh ingredients and a relaxed café atmosphere, it is definitely worth stopping by.
