I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Pure Beauty Salon! It's the best beauty and skincare salon in Greenpoint. I've been a client since they opened in 2005 and religiously visit once a month. I've received a number of their services including: facials (Renata, the owner, does a thorough job of carefully caring for my skin including removing blackheads and other impurities - and she doesn't leave anything behind!), hydration masks, glycolic and chemical peels (love it, my skin looks better then in my 20's), dermabrasion, manicures, pedicures, eye brow shaping and waxing. I've even had make-up applications done here, as well as hair care services (cut and color). Really, all of their services are outstanding. In addition to great service offerings, all of the staff are professional, kind and attentive. You get a sense that they are truly concerned about your well-being - not just offering services. It's the best of both worlds: quality services and competitive pricing, with the bonus of uncompromised quality. They have state-of-art equipment and Renata uses a great organic skin care line called Eminence. Overall, the salon is inviting, always clean and smells nice. I had a facial with Renata. Like the last reviewer, I am EXTREMELY concerned about my skin and pores. She did the best extractions I've EVER had in the 18 yrs I've lived in this country. I have gone to a lot of different spas only to be left disappointed and short $160-200. She is very detail oriented when it comes to the facials she gives you. I have never reviewed anyone but I just absolutely felt the need to give her a five star rating because the excellent facial she gave me. I'm from Hungary and they know a little something about skincare products and techniques, I can honestly say this can compare to an authentic European facial. I'm in love! The place cannot be better, very professional, non pretentious. Haircuts, face cleansing, wax, manicure, pedicure...all you need to be more beautiful is here and the prices are really reasonable. In addition, all the personnel is really well trained and have worked directly with dermatologists in Europe, so they know their trade really well. I have been going for some years now and i bring my daughter and my mom because they have the European skills we are used to in Spain without having to pay an arm and a leg for it. Pure beauty is fabulous!!!I'm absolutely thrilled with the results of my Brazilian bikini wax! I should have done these years ago, but I was worried that it would be painful or uncomfortable. My first appointment was a couple days ago and I was impressed with Aneta's ability to put me at ease as I was a bit nervous. I don't know how she does it, but Aneta has managed to make the process pain free. Yesterday I had an appointment with Aneta for facial and with Marzena for my haircut. They did incredible job!!! The best waxing experience I've had!!! Brazilian waxing always scares me after hearing about people scream during the wax but Anetka was incredibly professional and knew what she was doing with the wax. I prepared myself for the pain but she totally talk to me through it and made me laugh so much that I felt more comfortable. I was so impresed with her skills and with the results. She did a wonderful job. I had no soreness, no redness, no problems at all. I loved having Anetka and I will be back and keep up the great work! Make sure to ask for Anetka! As a Greenpoint local this salon has been a god send! The ability to get a good mani pedi in a quiet and clean salon where the employees don't seem annoyed by your arrival is honestly enough! But, they also do a great job and use such quality products! PATRICIA is in charge to the facials, waxing, mani and pedi and she is AMAZING!!!!! She is a brow genius! She turned my brows into what I've wanted for years in 3 waxes! I also just recieved microdermabrasion facial and it was so relaxing and I don't think my face has ever been cleaner! I was referred by a friend to try their facials and am very happy that I did. The salon is clean and pleasant and the owner Renata was very attentive and patient in answering all of my questions. She explained what she was doing throughout each step of the process, which I really appreciated. In the end, my skin was softer, smoother and purged of all the icky stuff :) I found the experience to be quite relaxing. A huge plus that they are familiar with African American skin care! Pure Beauty is great, I have been going to this spa for over three years now and I would definitely recommend it. Manicures/Pedicures last forever, and waxing sessions are fast and pain free. The place is brand new and clean (they recently moved to this location), decent prices and good products, very friendly service, always with a smile. This place is incredibly clean, the ambiance is relaxing with walls covered with soothing colors. There are always fresh flowers at the front desk and you are offered a coffe or tea the moment you enter the door. The staff is well trained, the ladies really know what they are doing.
