Came here to get some dinner, but I'm usually here at the bar getting drinks most of the time. I'm quite a regular here. My favorite thing to order here is the lo mein for sure and the egg rolls! Unfortunately due to inflation, the owners have stopped that but it hasn't stopped me. I personally really enjoy the bbq pork, lemon chicken, sizzling rice soup (if dining in), the egg flower soup, and the CHICKEN LO MEIN. I cant tell you how many times I have eaten the chicken lo mein (a lot). When I came home on the holidays, getting that chicken lo mein was the main highlight/goal. They seem to be short staffed due to the pandemic so please be nice! They're trying their best and they aren't getting any younger! Interior is an amazing collection of Chinese redwood and soapstone, some carved, and beautiful screens. The menu was a trifold paper. The waitress appeared instantly, greeted us, and took our drink order. The egg drop soup was scalding hot and flavorful. The Kung Pao Scallops were superior. The bay scallops were perfectly cooked, crisp edges and hot interior. The fruits and vegetables were fresh and hot. The rice in the covered red pot was hot and moist. We've been coming here for decades. The food is always made fresh to order. My favorite dishes are the chicken lo mein and the sizzling rice soup. The water here is the best in town, and there are alcoholic beverages available from the bar next door. The prices are fantastic for how much food you get, we often leave with enough leftovers for lunch the next day. I have enjoyed coming to this place for the past couple years but I will never be coming here again after the experience I had today. Other dishes I have ordered here in the past I've liked--which is why I have been coming back. Today, I ordered a dish (for takeout) I hadn't before tried and this was the first time I ended up not liking it at all and couldn't eat my meal. So I called them asking if they could accommodate me in replacing it for a new dish I could enjoy (also mentioned that I would keep this in mind so I know just not to order this specific thing in the future because there are others I know I enjoy) but she (the owner I believe), just kept telling me that that's how they have made it for years and will not replace it for something else (it should not matter if that's been a restaurants recipe or not, if we as customers don't end up liking what we ordered, enough to not be able to eat, we should be accommodated to get something else -- we pay & tip respectfully to be served in return in an appropriate professional manner). Be aware and cautious when ordering here because you will not be accommodated at all if you order something you don't like or can't eat. I personally don't care how good a restaurants food is or can be -- you cannot expect respectful, considerate or professional business practices from this restaurant as a consumer and for that alone, I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Green Tea is the best location for Chinese food. It's still my favorite and I live far away now. Green Tea tastes like home. The restaurant ambiance is great. The decor is lovely and the lighting is nice. The fresh tea you get when you dine in is always delicious. Some of my favorite dishes are the sizzling rice soup, paper wrapped chicken, Kung pao chicken or beef, sweet and sour shrimp, and bean curd in brown sauce. Whether I'm getting take-out or dining in, the service I get is always phenomenal. The staff remember you and ask how you're doing. Lackluster food items, with a price that doesn't reflect in the overall quality. It is decent, not bad, and not great. The servers aren't all too attentive, but they are nice. The inside is pretty cozy however. The side items are only okay as well. Going there a few times, nothing has really stood out overall. Dirty dark bar where they charge whatever they feel like charging for drinks. My husband went up one time and ordered, and my sister went up next time and ordered the same drinks and was charged more. The food is not bad, but the bar area is just dirty looking and the seats are absolutely awful at each of the booth. They offer meal combos, so you get a soup, egg roll, fried wonton, morsel of chicken, and your choice of main entree with chicken or pork fried rice The egg drop soup was pretty good, but the egg rolls were great! The crust is so flaky and delicious, it reminded me more of lumpia than a traditional egg roll found at Chinese food places As far as the main entree, I got Kung Pao chicken, which I think had just the right amount of spice. It was good, and spicy, but not overwhelming enough to cover the taste All in all, a good meal at a pretty good price..
