I have wanted to visit this restaurant for a long time. I finally went and I;m kicking myself for not going sooner. The owner and staff are super nice. The hibiscus tea is amazing. I ordered the lamb burger special (with feta cheese and fries). I ate the whole meal. I}the burger was cooked perfectly and the fries were delicious. I don't eat fries a lot, but I ate every single one. The dining area is very cozy and there is an outdoor area. They have a water station and items for sell. I will be a regular. This was one of the best lunches I've had in a while.

OH MY GOSH this place blew my mind!!! The food was beyond delicious - my mouth is watering just thinking back on my visit here. Wow, so good! I was working in Greensboro and a friend recommended we eat lunch here and I am so glad we did. Oh, I can't wait to go back. I ordered (by recommendation from my friend and the friendly staff member) the Shawerma Wrap. The meat was juicy and flavorful, the tahini sauce was refreshing, the greens were fresh, and the wrap was so tasty and had great texture. The seating area is in the back and opens up really nicely. The big windows brought in lovely natural light to the seating area. All in all, this is a great spot and I cannot wait to return.

We went here recently for dinner. The food was excellent. Their platters are a great way to enjoy a selection of dishes. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

I have to say I didn't expect that much out of a Middle Eastern place in Greensboro NC. I arrived to find the ambiance surprisingly Christmas-y (I guess there are Christians from that part of the world). Their menu promises local organic vegetables. Getting a falafel sandwich yielded a texturally magnificent creation with a thin, yet soft laffa wrap, fresh falafel, and abundant greens that certainly tasted local and organic. With the optional hot sauce and onions, it was a thoroughly flavorful lunch. Adding fries was a good decision as well, as theirs are skin on with a bit of seasoning. The hibiscus tea I asked for unsweetened, and probably would have been better if I'd sweetened it, but I'd had enough. If I were rating the bathroom, I wouldn't give them five stars. However, the reality is that I'll tell the reader the same thing I told the people working here: I just visited Jerusalem for the first time recently, and if you'd handed me this food there instead of at Jerusalem on Elm in Greensboro NC, I would have said it was great.

I have always enjoyed Jerusalem Market in Downtown Greensboro. I haven't been in a little while and am glad to have returned as it was so good! I ordered the shawerma with pita chips. I opted to add hot sauce and onions as it was recommended. It one hundred percent made it delicious! When in downtown be sure to check out Jerusalem Market for delicious foods in a great atmosphere. If you come on a Friday night you may even catch live music!

Wonderful ambience with live music--soft sort of dinner music keyboard and cello. Comfortable interior space, live plants and windows! Great food with lots of selections. Come at closing and they may be sold out of your favorites. Tonight lamb and rice were no more. Plenty of other Mediterranean dishes, proteins and dips to choose from. Get the thin and crispy pita as apposed to the thick and chewy you'll be glad. Order at the counter, take your number to your seat and they bring your food out. Can't go wrong with chicken.

(4.5 stars) The mantle of best Middle Eastern in Greensboro is a matter of considerable debate, but for those seeking this type of food anywhere near downtown, Jerusalem Market should be a no-brainer. Upon entry, you'll see a drinks and dessert case and minimal seating, but don't let that dissuade you: there's a more spacious dining room in the back. It's low-key but tastefully appointed. Jerusalem Market's menu offers platters, salads, mezze (small plates), and wraps. There are plenty of vegetarian options as well as lamb/beef/chicken options plus combination plates for those who want a little bit of everything. You order at the counter and take a number back to your table. Staff are friendly and welcoming. I went with the Armenian wrap, which featured basterma (thinly sliced seasoned dried beef), provolone, baba ganoush, and cucumber yogurt with zaatar pita chips on the side. My wife was hoping for the Turk (similar but with sojouk sausage instead of beef) and upon finding they were out opted for the lamb burger on special instead. Given the day's humidity, hibiscus iced tea seemed too good to pass up. Jerusalem Market makes everything fresh, so the food understandably took a bit to arrive. However, it was well worth the wait. The basterma was salty, and the refreshing yogurt balanced it nicely. The zaatar chips were crisp and full of flavor and dangerously addictive (seriously, I could eat a bagful). My wife enjoyed the lamb burger with feta and a side salad, and we were both glad that we went with the hibiscus tea (free refills). While they may not have the huge portions of a Nazareth Bread, Jerusalem Market's prices aren't unreasonable given the downtown location. The wrap was $14 or so and the burger $16. All told, Jerusalem Market promises a healthy meal using quality ingredients and prepared with care.

I don't do reviews often, but this place is amazing. Went with the lamb platter. So good!

My visits to Jerusalem Market when in town are a must, as the food is consistently flavorful and fresh, Esa and staff are always welcoming, friendly, and generous, the establishment is very clean, eclectic, with a relaxing atmosphere that welcomes peace. I will always support Jerusalem Market and hope more people do the same to enjoy flavorful, fresh, healthy foods.

I wouldn't go out of my way to go here. Which is what we did. We were travelling and found this on Yelp and decided go out of our way to stop by to get a "to go" order for the road. It was a Wed (before Thanksgiving) and there was one person in the place. After we ordered, she said it would be 15-20 mins to get the food. It took almost 30 mins. My bride ordered the Chicken Wrap ($12) and I ordered the Shawarma Wrap ($12). The pita wraps were super thin (never seen anything quite like it)....which made it a little more challenging to eat. The taste of the meat was just fine. They asked what we wanted for our side....we selected cucumbers (they gave us multiple options)....they were just plain cucumbers....no seasoning at all (and they ended up charging us $.50 when it certainly sounded like it would be included in our selection).

Amazing delicious meal! I enjoyed this place the moment I walked in! They have a variety of goodies to such as baklava and date pastries as well as delicious chocolate candy bars and a selection of wines to try. They also offer a great menu with plenty to choose from even if you are looking for something healthy or are vegetarian. I enjoyed the welcoming feeling however it did take longer than expected for our food to come out. They have a great outdoor seating as well thats enclosed in the very back. The ambiance inside is very chill and relaxing good to go for lunch time to catch up with coworkers, friends or family!

You will be more than pleased with this place!! It's DELICIOUS! Real ingredients, fresh flavors, everything made to perfection, and the owners are so kind. Really cute place on the inside, clean, and has outdoor seating in the back. Among all the deep-fried and frozen food you can get off Elm, do yourself a favor, and stop by Jerusalem Market instead. I'm working through trying everything on the menu, and nothing disappoints! The chicken wrap, cucumber dip and pita chips are a 10/10 lunch!

Why has it taken me so long to visit this restaurant?! Such a hidden gem in Greensboro. I love Mediterranean food and this is near the top of my picks. Service was outstanding and friendly. I got the Amir salad and it was outstanding. Super fresh, love the dressing! The chicken was cooked perfectly. That creamy feta though! Can't wait to try other entrees on a future visit! I sat outside on the cute patio. I almost forgot I was in Greensboro. lol just a perfect afternoon!

The Armenian wrap. Great!

This place has great food and feels very authentic. Don't be thrown by the lack of ambiance- they don't need it with food like this.

If you've ever dreamed of visiting Istanbul for authentic Turkish cuisine, you don't have to travel…read morethat far, just head to Zeeyum Kitchen on W. Market Street in Greensboro! After hearing so many great things, my family and I finally decided to try it this weekend, and all I can say is... WOW! What an incredible experience from start to finish. First, let me say that Zee, the owner and chef, is one of the most welcoming restaurateurs you'll ever meet. He not only prepares amazing food but also takes the time to personally greet his guests, making you feel like family the moment you walk in. We started with the Hummus and Fresh Flatbread, and it was absolutely outstanding, fresh, creamy, and full of flavor. Next came the Börek (Ground Beef and Feta Cheese). Think of it as the best, most flavorful "egg roll" you've ever had, but with authentic Turkish flair. Simply delicious! I had the Bugu Kebabi, served in a clay plate with red onions and tomatoes. Sealed with baked bread. I'm usually not a lamb person, but when Zee explained that the lamb is marinated for hours in an onion-based broth, I decided to step outside my comfort zone. I'm so glad I did! The lamb was incredibly tender and packed with flavor. The presentation was also unique and memorable, with the delicate thin bread cut open right at the table. It was more than enough for my daughter and me to share. My wife ordered the Beyti Kebab, is a Turkish dish consisting of ground beef, grilled on a skewer and served wrapped in lavash and topped with yogurt sauce and butter sauce. Every single bite was bursting with amazing flavors. Another outstanding dish! All the desserts are to die for, many are imported from Turkey. Before you leave, don't miss the opportunity to enjoy an authentic Turkish Coffee, Turkish Wines, or a Turkish Beers to complete the experience. If you're looking for a restaurant that offers healthy, authentic, delicious, and very reasonably priced food, Zeeyum Kitchen should absolutely be on your list. The service is exceptional, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and there's plenty of convenient parking. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be back!!!

Rich, savory sauces, a menu that is a good guide. I had the Bugu Kebabi - slow cooked lamb in a glazed pot, sealed with a pita crust. If you like lamb you will love this. Kofte meatballs are also outstanding, if you prefer beef. There's a whole page of vegan dishes, as well Baklava selection is beyond words. All of us had a lovely time. Can't wait to repeat.

We didn't even need to look at the menu because we both wanted the Iskander Platter. Lucky we came in when we did because we got the last of it. Since having it the first time, I've watched a few recipe videos on how it's made. It's quite a process and takes a while so it's understandable they can't just make more quickly if they run out. This time it had a little different flavor than the last time. It had a saltier flavor and not quite as buttery as I remembered which was disappointing since that was the best part for me. It was still delicious but I was happy for the yogurt that helped cut the saltiness a little. Possibly the sauce became more concentrated since it was the end of the batch they had. I could only finish half because it's such a large portion but my husband finished his. The service was super friendly as always. The owners here are so lovely and always attentive. I will definitely be back again.

My wife's wood-fired salmon was pretty good, but her vegetables came out with no seasoning at all. My wood-fired filet was cooked exactly right, but it also had no seasoning, and when you find yourself asking for steak sauce for a filet, something has gone wrong in the kitchen. Then the peach crumble showed up and stole the entire night. It is genuinely amazing, and I'd tell anyone within earshot to order it. Great atmosphere, great service, great drinks, and a dessert worth the trip. If the kitchen brings the seasoning up to the level of everything else, this is easily a four-and-a-half-star restaurant.
