    Tortellini alla panna
    Reshonda W.

My go to meal is the tortellini . It is always seasoned well. I lived in Italy for a year and this dish would hold its own. Service was quick and accurate. I ordered for 8 people. Lunch rush but was still intimate and not too loud

Once again, I stopped at Mediterraneano for a caprese salad! I still vote this the best caprese salad in the triad. They serve theirs with balsamic vinegar, but I like mine with olive oil. Be sure they have fresh basil before you order it, otherwise you might get dried basil or oregano. It's just wonderful. Jacob, the manager, is just GREAT also!

Don't give up on places that have been solid for you in the past, is one of my top pieces of advice for anyone on Yelp. If they have a history of satisfying you, even if they have off nights, you ought to give them a try again in the future. I wanted to update this review and since I had a couple off experiences at this Mediterraneo, I have indeed since been back, and decided that overall I do like coming here. No matter any other measure, this is still my absolute favorite place that serves complimentary bread with their meals. The texture and taste continue to be one of the things that make me return, and honestly, don't we all just love good bread? The strange thing, is that they now charge a token amount (50 cents) for the spiced olive oil dip. While that is odd (never run into that before) i'm happy to hand it over for this staple. They do let you know about it when bread is requested. My most recent trip, I went for veal parm. Something I haven't had in awhile. This comes with pasta, but a salad is extra if you'd like one. Most around the table ordered chicken parm, and we had one gnocchi taker. It was apparently a parm kind of night! Everything was paced well, our server did a great job even though she was handling a lot of tables that particular evening. My veal parm in the end was pretty darn good, I have always liked their marinara here. I could cut it with a fork, and you could tell the veal was tenderized nicely before being breaded and fried. Most around the table also enjoyed their meals, so a success. We'll continue to visit this spot when the occasion presents. Pass the bread!

There's my classic chicken parmigiana. I can't believe I ate the whole thing!

I don't know why it has taken me so long to write this review because this little gem impresses me every time I go there. I'm talking about Mediterraneo, located at the shopping center on Pisgah Church and N. Elm. I have sweet memories of this place including a wonderful lunch with Rabbi Fred and Nancy, a scrumptious dinner with my friend, Sally and a few meals by myself when that craving for marinara sauce became just too much for me to bear. But my most memorable experience at Mediterraneo was during the heart of COVID, when no one would dare step inside a restaurant. It was November 29th 2021 and I wanted Italian food for my birthday dinner. The kids wanted to satisfy my craving but how could that be possible unless we did take out? Then I remembered that Mediterraneo had outdoor seating, and even though it was the end of November and cold, it was not a particularly freezing night. So me and the kids bundled up and headed over to Mediterraneo to sit outside. It was almost December, but when Dad wants red sauce for his birthday, you better find it for him!! I'll never forget that meal. It felt so wonderful to have a little sense of normalcy for an hour, although I don't know what was normal about five people sitting outside the end of November for dinner LOL Although Mediterraneo is also known for some Middle Eastern dishes, I have only had their Italian food which I really enjoy. First off, nobody can compare to their dinner rolls. They are warm and delicious and always come with a nice oil-based dip alongside them. What I also love about this place is as long as you keep finishing the basket, they will continue to bring you more rolls. I had chicken parmesan with pasta, my favorite, and I remember the waiter being extremely courteous and appreciative of our visit during such a difficult time. We were freezing, but happy! I have been back to Mediterranean many, many times. Their prices are good, their portions are large and I really like their food. Their lunch specials are really well priced with a hearty portion and those same delicious rolls. I don't know how many people know about this place but it's a great restaurant to visit if you are in that part of town. I have never been disappointed. I would have to say it's one of my top three Italian restaurants in Greensboro, and being a boy who grew up in the Bronx around Italians and real Italian food, that's a compliment! Buon appetito!!!

For starters we came at an "off" time - between lunch and dinner. There were very few patrons and our waiter seemed to be manning the whole show. The service was exceptional and he was great with acknowledging and accommodating our toddler -- which is often amiss in restaurants. We ordered the hummus and wings - both were top tier! The hummus is the best hummus we've had from a restaurant in a long time. It's extra creamy -- so good! They were out of the lamb which hubby found disappointing. Nevertheless, he ordered the chicken shawarma which was reportedly not the best but "ok." Toddler loved her chicken Parmesan from the kid's menu and had enough to eat the next day - which she gobbled up both times. I had the fattoush salad with shrimp. It was ok, but it wasn't my favorite.. a bit overdressed and salty. Between the service and our appetizers, this place is deserving of the 4 stars!

Fresh bread straight from the oven

The Seafood Meditarraneo is worth your money! Lots of calamari, clams, mussels and shrimp in one serving. Fresh bread came straight from the oven and was so tasty, we asked for more. I'm so full, but planning to try their cannoli next time! The place is very clean and our waitress was very attentive. Not crowded at all on a Thursday night.

What a nice surprise! We discovered this place by walking after had a meal in this complex. We went in a Saturday lunch and the service was super cozy and fast. We ordered the spinach pies that were super tasteful, the risotto Mediterranean and they like me to personalize my dish so I ordered the gnocchi with Alfredo sauce and bacon. OMG! It was amazing! I also loved the vibe and the playlist of the place. It was super friendly playing Christmas songs and everybody was super happy.

Gluten Free Chicken & Spinach Ravioli, yummy!

We love this restaurant, it's the only place I can eat good Mediterranean while my hubby gets the pasta he loves. He tries different dishes every time and that different then most places he orders the same thing every time. Food- the bread is AMAZING. Ask for bread! My hubby had gluten free chicken and spinach ravioli in a mushroom sauce, he isn't even gluten free‍ but he LOVED it! I had tabouli salad with feta and chicken( my absolute favorite!) A huge portion with enough for lunch tomorrow we had the spinach pies as a start and they were fantastic, full of spinach and lemon. These are such sweet people who really aim to please. It's back in a business complex but they have a pet friendly patio as well as plenty of indoor seating. Half price wine Saturday and Tuesday nights!!!!

I love Mediterranean food! This place tops many! We started with the lebanese platter. This usually comes with hummus, grape leaves and baba ghanouj. They had run out of baba ghanouj they graciously substituted tabouli instead. The grape leaves are the best I have ever had! I could have eaten just that. The hummus was good and hand made. I really like the tabouli. Very fresh! The mozzarella sticks were...well it's mozzarella sticks. Honestly, the marinara sauce was what made the dish. Slightly over-fried because a few didn't have cheese in them. The bread appetizer that everyone gets was baked to perfection, and came with a dish of olive oil with red pepper flakes for dipping. Not spicy at all. Adds the perfect amount of flavor. For dinner, I ordered the lamb gyro. I asked for it as a platter because I didn't want too much pita. Lamb meat was tasty and not too salty which I love. The cucumber sauce is hand made and delectable. Portions are large so plan on sharing. My husband ordered the stromboli and it was huge! It was good especially with the marinara sauce. The portion size of the marinara sauce was too big. I feel this could have been smaller. The service was great and everything came out on time! They had half price wine glasses and bottles on Saturday night. The only constructive criticism I could offer besides the mozzarella sticks without cheese would be the frito chips as a side. It is fine as a side for lunch but not a dinner plate. I would make the lamb shawarma a platter and get rid of the chips as a side. Maybe just do pita with hummus as a side or salad. Either way I will definitely be back!

Food is versatile and delicious and the service is friendly and timely. The ambiance is fabulous with art from Italy and Lebanon and soft pleasant music playing to help you relax and enjoy the flavors of the Mediterranean region of the world. Both authentic Italian and authentic Lebanese cuisine choices to suit most palates. Yum!!!!!

"Consistency Matters"…read more The food is delish, let's start there. This hasn't been on my bingo card for a while and boo hoo! The garden pizzette and chicken shawarma are fan favorites for a reason. Chicken Shawarma is a (IMO) well seasoned cinnamon forward profile that delivers a tender chew. Don't let the cinnamon description deter you. The flavor is complex, savory, and very good! The garden pizzette is delicious. The perfect mixup of feta, mint, tomato, and cucumber...Chef's Kiss (dip in hummus and/or tzatziki for that extra, extra added flavor). We also loved the tzatziki/lebnah sauce. Perfect balance for our Americanized palate. My biggest complaint, would be consistency. I ordered twice in one week. Each meal was delicious, but noticeable different. Not a huge factor, but one I thought worth mentioning. Bread was whole wheat ... cool/ not a problem .. but also not my preference. All in all, a darn good meal! Sold side options. I was going to be closer to the Raleigh location this past month so I decided to go to the Raleigh location and see if they could do the same as cary. I went in and asked a young man he said that should not be a problem for me to put in my catering orders and then have my payment done a certain way at the register, as they usually do, in cary. I placed my order and got to the register and then the very nice girl that was there was going to ring me up. She wasn't sure how to manually enter my credit card information that I needed to give, so she asked what I'm going to assume was her manager or whoever was in charge that day? The woman turned around and looked at me as if I walked in and started in her face. Her face was so disgusted, twisted up, and snarled with disapproval. She asked me, with a huge attitude, "what was going on here?". I politely explained the situation, which is that, at the Cary location our company pays over the phone when I arrive. I handed her the phone to give her the credit card information and she was speaking to my boss (who is a very world-renowned doctor) about the payment info. She was so rude to him and said "well usually we don't do this but we'll do it this time". I informed her that from now on, since it was such a problem we will gladly go to the other location or just another restaurant in general. The younger people at the register were extremely friendly and polite and really made this experience the most positive thing from this whole trip to this location. As I was leaving the female who had the attitude earlier did say that she " was sorry, and that she just didn't know what she was walking into". At this point, I really did not care about an I'm sorry, because I will never go back to this location. I don't care who or what she is, but if she doesn't know what she's walking into, then the best idea for her(if she had any business or common sense)would be to approach it in a professional manner and not with a stank attitude. I have worked in doing catering sales, amahing businesses, throwing events, and ordering multiple catering orders for other businesses that I run. I have never and would never, approach anyone like this if I was uncertain of any situation. It puts a really bad look on their whole concept. I have already talked to multiple people about this and told all the physicians that I work with. I have also discussed this encounter with other people who do multiple orders for catering and other event networking groups. I will never be ordering from this location again. I hope whatever they do, they get it right, and start hiring people who appreciate having a job, to make sure that no one else feels so turned off by someone like this. I'm only giving a two stars for the Friends League kids that were at the counter and at the cash register

We ordered 12 and thought maybe it was a fluke but all 12 were completely inedible and we threw them out immediately. The baklava was okay, nothing to write home about. Very simple syrup forward and you couldn't taste much else (we ordered the walnut). The namoora was stale. Very dry. Namoora should melt in your mouth with with a slight chew. This was again, tough and stale. We threw those out as well. Lastly, our favorite salad, tabbouli. The lemon taste was nonexistent. The parsley wasn't chopped fine as Tabbouli should be. It was a watery mess. Overall, we won't be back. We spent over $75 on 4 items and left feeling hungry and bamboozled.
