There were no lights available in the building, including no visible emergency lighting, and the elevators were not working. Our room was originally on the second floor, but because I have knee problems and cannot easily use stairs, the night staff member was very kind and helped us by finding a room on the ground floor. I truly appreciated her professionalism and willingness to help during a difficult situation. What left a negative impression was the interaction at checkout the next morning. Instead of acknowledging the inconvenience caused by the power outage, I felt as though we were expected to be grateful for being placed in a different room because it happened to be one of the resort's nicer accommodations. To be clear, the room change was necessary because of the resort's power issue, not a special favor. While the property itself remains beautiful, the lack of emergency lighting and the response from the front desk the following morning raise concerns about both guest safety and customer service. Unfortunately, after this experience, I'm not sure I would choose to stay here again. If this was other hotel chain I will be even refunded because the inconveniences!!

Burger was huge and they even had a gluten free bun, which is hard to find. Bun was toasted and soft. Drinks: The bloody Mary's hit the spot, they do it up on the toppings. I even got some pork belly on top! Had one of their espresso martinis, also delish. They make it creamy which I love, I usually ask for it creamy. Flavor for days. They have two seatings at the restaurant. We couldn't get into the 6 PM seating so we had the 8 PM seating which was not bad. They have a lake house on the dock which you can buy drinks at. Great atmosphere and beautiful view. You will be hard pressed to find a more beautiful lake. It's stunning. I have kayaked and fished at this lake for years and it's absolutely gorgeous. I had the short ribs, and they were tender with an amazing flavor. My wife had the stuffed chicken which was phenomenal. The goat cheese brought the dish into a different stratosphere. We had four friends eating with us and they all enjoyed their meals. They have eaten here many times in the past and they told me that the new chefs are on point.

I was happy to see the grounds maintained so I didn't worry too much about my dog getting foxtails in his paws. The pool area is pretty dope with lots of options to sunbathe or hide in the shade. The rats were living under the fridge and when we moved it to the side, there it was! A passage and droppings all over the floors. She then said, "well, you are in nature!" We weren't camping or glamping near a sewage! Despicable! Did absolutely nothing to accommodate us or move us to another cabin. So we stayed up all night with the rats! I am not sure about all the other cabins but #9 is smelly, old, and gross! Be careful being on the deck, might go through the rotting woods!

The grounds are kept very nice and there is a beautiful overlook in the back. The cabins have little patios and common areas to hangout with the other guests. They have an office that has free movies to borrow, board games, Menus for the restaurants and more. Walking into our cabin we were totally in awe. It was so homey and we were instantly comfortable. The cabin is decorated really well and has everything you can possibly need including a kitchen, utensils, plates and cups, hot coffee, a microwave, a fridge, and more. Our bed was really comfortable, the temperature was easily changed, we didn't notice any outside noise and we just had an absolutely amazing time. I can't wait to come back.

We arrived around 10pm with two exhausted kids only to find literal sh** left in the toilet, a room that smelled like it, dirty bed sheets, and a broken iron and ironing board. We requested a room change, but were told none were available. We were promised our room would be cleaned first thing the next morning. It wasn't. After spending the morning at the pool, we came back around 3:30 p.m. and our room still hadn't been serviced. We have two young kids, including a toddler who needed a nap, so we actually had to use our friend's room to shower and put our little one down because ours wasn't ready until almost 7 p.m. The next day, the same thing happened. We were then told housekeeping only services rooms if you call and request it. I've traveled a lot and have never heard of that, especially when you're automatically charged a daily housekeeping fee here. To top it off, the pool was unexpectedly closed for maintenance in the middle of the day after we had rented an umbrella, and valet took 55 minutes to bring our car at checkout after we were told it would be about 10 minutes. There seemed to be a new issue every single day. This experience was incredibly disappointing. We won't be back.

It had multiple TVs, including one in the dining/living area and one in the bedroom, a full kitchen, and honestly one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Anything we needed, John and Jamie were there to help and made sure we had a great experience. Our weekend getaway was peaceful, relaxing, and a great time away from home. We are already planning to go back in the next couple of months and hope to make it a regular trip for us.
