We stayed in the Oak cabin, for one night by luck! We drove in a couple of hours for the Sierra buttes lookout hike but didn't want to drive back same day. We happened upon this spot which normally doesn't do reservations for one night but happened to have a cabin available for one night. The cabin was very comfortable! It had a full kitchen and big bathroom and a cute deck with a table and chairs. My only complaint is how hot the cabin got in the heat, the space never cooled down at night even with all windows opened and all fans running. Neighboring cabins are spaced apart enough for a quiet stay but close enough to socialize with neighboring guests. Easy-ish access to the river, the quick access by the dock is a bit steep but towards the right there's another trail that's a lot easier on the joints. We would definitely come back for a longer stay!

We stayed in the Fir cabin. Rustic clean and basically a place to sleep and shower. No TV or Wi-Fi. Keep in mind no A/C. We enjoyed our stay and will be back in the Spring or Fall time.

We stayed @ Yuba River Inn again for 4th of July. This time we stayed @ Pine Cabin. It has a kitchen separate from the bedroom and a bigger bathroom than Cedar. This cabin has a back and front porch, a bbq grill and lounge area. It's a 4 star review because the fans we had in the cabin were so small (looked like personal fans) that it didn't aired out the whole area to cool down. Next time, we will bring our own fan . But other than that, it was all good... So, if you want to get out of the hustle and bustle area.. visit the lost Sierra and stay at Yuba River Inn.

I usually take my RV to Sierra City but this time I just wanted to relax and rent a cabin. I was so glad I did! This place was amazing. The cabins are clean and comfortable. The deck overlooking the Yuba River is amazing and my grandson and I loved the River Trail that takes you to a spot on the river that takes your breath away. The water is crisp and clear -- and so refreshing. We usually take a ride to the lakes above Bassetts Station and explore Sierra City (especially the old graveyard), but this time we just didn't want to leave the river. Nothing fancy, no room service, no Wifi in the cabins (but there is a Wifi deck at the office). We were in heaven...

Clean, basic and peaceful. The setting is as "Sierra" as you can imagine. The mini-trail in the back of the camp is lovely and the view of the waterfall should not be missed. This location, however, is not a hotel and is more like an AirBnB house rental. The cabins have the amenities appropriate for a large family, such as refrigerator, oven, stove, utensils, towels and TV, but misses some of the basics such as washer/dryer and web access. Bring your own food, beverages and shampoo. Restaurants are not all that common and the local general store of the hyperbolically denominated Sierra City closes at 6:00 pm. The owner, Rick is nice, and can be very helpful. Don't get turned off by what may come across as a bit of gruffness. He's just a local, tired of answering dumb questions. As a New Yorker, I sympathize. Can't tell you the number of times I have to answer questions about naked people or needles in the subway.

Rude! Rude! Rude! She reluctantly came to check and scolded us for not fully closing the patio doors which by the way is hard to open and close. The screen with a magnet attached, what a joke! The rats were living under the fridge and when we moved it to the side, there it was! A passage and droppings all over the floors. She then said, "well, you are in nature!" We weren't camping or glamping near a sewage! Despicable! Did absolutely nothing to accommodate us or move us to another cabin. So we stayed up all night with the rats! I am not sure about all the other cabins but #9 is smelly, old, and gross! Be careful being on the deck, might go through the rotting woods!
