Our keys were sticking in our front door lock and it was hard to turn - kept thinking I would one day be locked out of the house for good, lol. Called and spoke with Connie who was very pleasant and made an appointment for between 11-12 the next day. Keith was there at 11 sharp :) Super-nice guy. Wasn't sure what the problem was at first, but he removed our lock and took it to his truck to fiddle with it. After 10 minutes he had fixed the problem (lint from our keys had eventually gotten shoved into the lock, making the pins hard to move). Explained everything in detail. Very courteous. Called Ben for another key/lock repair issue after having a great experience a couple of years ago. This time, I needed him to create a key, after getting a different deadbolt lock and main door lock for my front door. I needed him to match the existing key and set the locks appropriately. Ben did a great job and even fixed the door, which was messed up from a previous repair person. The door locks great and is now lined up properly. I found Ben on Yelp and what a find he was! He actually responded (as in picked up the phone) when I called him. I told him the nature of job and he arrived at the discussed arrival time on the dot. The minute he opens his mouth, you know he's an expert. I requested him to re-key a couple doors and install a lock for one. He was super quick and efficient. Not to mention, he's a great conversationalist and spoke to the bf and I at length about home security. The fun didn't stop there - we had trapped a mouse and Ben helped us put it out of its misery - gave us some tips about how to get rid of mice for good. Like all the other reviews on Yelp, this place is absolutely awesome. Andy came to my place to replace a lock handleset and 2 other locks. He is exceptionally professional, on time, and courteous. I mistakenly purchased a handleset with the handle in the opposite direction, and Andy was able to fix it on the fly and made it work on my door. I just want to say my "Thank You" to GreenKeys for great service. I live in my Fremont house for 17 years and the door lock to garage is worn out. I asked someone to repair it but woops. The lock was made by Cohler, no replacement parts. Called Greenkeys, told the lady answering the phone of my frustration. She asked me to take a photo of the key and forward it by cell. Sure, the owner said that model can't be found any more. He suggested swapping the core with the master bedroom closet door lock, we never lock the closet. Keith, the service man, came on time sharp. Did the swap for durability, but put in a similar cylinder to the closet door lock instead - no charge. Everything is fixed and working in 30 minutes. I give them a 5 star rating. Ben is the real deal. We were locked out of our house with a very difficult situation to unlock it. He helps walk through the possibilities over the phone, including recommending a path that would have made him far less (and no) money. When those didn't work out, he recognizes that we were in a hurry because our two kids were crying, and offers to come right over. He rode his motorcycle so he would get here faster. Once he got here, the door's open in 5 minutes. Flat fee, no BS. Amazing customer service, and he really deserves all the 5 star reviews he has on here. An all around stand up guy. I wanted to create a duplicate key for my 2004 Honda Odyssey. I contacted local Lows, Home depot, Osh and Ace Hardware. None of those have machine to cut the transponder blade key. Friend of mine recommenced Ben. He brought the machine to cut such keys about two weeks back and second device to program transponder. My car was the first Honda he programmed. His price was very very reasonable and I am in and out within 30 min on Sunday morning. Ben is very friendly, honest and I was very happy with his service. Very responsible and professional. I had a 50-year-old, unused safe whose combination would not work any longer. I figured that I would actually have to buy another safe. They told me that I had a very good, fire-resistant safe that would be worth saving, so they worked on it for about three hours and succeeded to open and recalibrate the combination lock. I didn't have to buy another safe, and the combination lock is like brand new. I plan on using this company in the future and am very happy to refer others. The lock to our front door was very sticky where it became very difficult to even insert our keys in the lock. I searched for a locksmith in the area and found GreenKeys due to all the positive reviews. Ben came out at the specified time (on time) and he knew after a few minutes of investigating what the problem was. He said first of all, NOT to get keys copied from Walmart or Orchard Supply because those keys can mess up locks, not always but a lot of times. He took the lock apart and fixed the problem immediately, something to do with the pin. He also made several copies of our master key. Now, it works great! Ben was so professional yet very friendly and gave us great advice. The price was very reasonable also since it didn't take him long to debug the problem. He is very knowledgeable and efficient. My appointment was on a Saturday evening but he could not make it since he got stuck on the current job so he rescheduled it for the following day though it was his day off.
