It is a bit older and therefore has that cluttered Asian market aesthetic, but the prices are decent and there's a lot of products here that I have never seen elsewhere, like the XL mukbang instant noodles and various alcoholic beverages. Based on the set up, I believe they have free samples during the weekend during the day time. They have a "deli" area for cooked Korean dishes and lots of unique prepared refrigerated dishes as well. Not much to complain about! They are open late and have tons of discounted items - especially during Christmas time. We came here primarily for fresh vegetables. Gladly the produce seemed well-kept and nothing seemed too wilted. I was really happy to see THREE bundles of parsley was on sale for 99¢ - what a steal! I didn't take many photos here, but it's your typical old Korean style grocery store. You can find just about anything Korean inside. Most people have visited Greenland supermarket in Las Vegas. This Greenland Market sells similar items, but without the popular food court inside. I wish they would make this place more like Greenland supermarket in Las Vegas. I think it's ran/operated by same company/owners know each other or similar concept. This region isn't booming these days, so this Greenland Market looks dead on outside too. Good thing is there are restaurants dining options in this plaza if you walk out further. They definitely have lots of food grocery inventories inside. Hard to choose from packaged noodles. Banchan variety was outstanding. They are fully stocked here. Store is fully loaded with Korean brand goodies. Breads and pastries are sold here. You will notice many non-Korean staffs/employees working inside. Pandemic really changed the Korean grocery store operations as businesses cut costs trying to stay efficient. Management is still hardworking. I saw public restrooms. Overall, I would revisit if we needed Korean grocery items or snacks. Prices are decent. read more

This store is old and dirty but at least their prices used to be a bit better than the other Korean super markets. Recently, I noticed that they increased their prices significantly but the quality didn't get any better. Now inflation is real however not 2x in the last several months, but the prices increase at this store is in that range. Probably not going to go out of my way to go there. read more

Well, now that I've been exploring the Rowland Heights area, I happen to notice (ha) that all the shops and stores are Asian. Japanese, Chinese, Taiwanese, Korean - not so much Thai nor Vietnamese, but I love it!!!!!! Three of my favorite places to travel have been Japan, Hong Kong, and South Korea. It's close enough (I probably sound like some dumb White beech saying that, but whatever!). In the words of Dr. Seuss, M.D. (just kidding), "Oh! The places you'll go!". I love everything I see (almost everything) and I would like to buy one or three of the entire place's inventory here. For myself. And maybe the third could become a gift to (MYSELF) someone. The alcohol bottles... the Chinese and Korean cigarettes. I don't smoke nor drink (everyday),.but I sure do like the look of unopened stuff inside my house to display to everyone (for validation, of course) that I am better than them (low self-esteem, Y'kno, I need that). Terrible market. Awful service. Absolutely filthy inside. I'm surprised they passed health code regulations at this place. There's mold on the floor near the meat section and rust in the back of the food processing area. Don't go to this market unless you want to catch some foodborne illness or potential disease. The workers were also rude and racist. I bought food and they didn't give chopsticks. However, they gave it to the person in front of me. When I asked them why they just laughed at me and spoke Korean. I actually understood a bit and they called me autistic. Is this how customers should be treated? A little-known fact about unassuming Korean markets - they are one of the best places to find tasty bargains vis a vis the catering/ deli side of the market. Enter, turn to the right of the cashiers and walk all the way to the right end of the market : there you will find lunch goodies (rolls, fried dumplings, chicken karaage, etc) priced between 3 to 8 bucks!! There's a soft spot in my heart for cheap, no frills ethnic markets and this one is just that. (For the aforementioned goodies the best time of the day to visit is around 10-11am, right before the lunch rush) worth your time if you're in the area. read more

Mangoes in a box- there were 6 and all were black/ brown inside. Noodle oodles snacks - all 4 were expired, we didn't check the date at the store. They asked if I needed bags and used 2 bags, but charged me for 3. Prices for everything was ok but not even cheaper than a regular supermarket. Will never return. This place always have great sales on my staple items. I live an hour away and so will often stock up on my trip to this market. The golfing range is just behind this market so while the hubby is at golfing range, I get my shopping done. Plenty of parking. The already prepared side dishes and kimbaps are convenient and always delicious. 4 stars instead of 5 because it's not as nice and organized as hmart but then again it's not as pricey like hmart. read more

If you were a contestant on some strange reality show, in which participants were blindfolded and walked in to a supermarket, only to have the blindfold ripped off, and the first person who can name what ethnicity of food is being sold.... ok, it's a dumb idea for a show. But to finish the thought, all but the most inane Luddites would quickly identify this store as peddling Korean wares; yes, even with the whole section dedicated to Sushi and Udon. In my former life as an analyst for a well-known Chinese American bank, I frequented Asian markets and restaurants, learning the lay of the land, the nuanced interpretation of a queue at the fish counter, how to pick decent fresh lychees, how to clean a durian (there's an oxymoron for ya...) Greenland Market (which seems poorly named, as this place was decidedly not Greenlandic) brought all those things back to me: that not entirely unpleasant tropical ethylene smell or overripe exotic fruits, the briny gaminess of beltfish and Saba sitting on pillow ice, a dozen different kimchees in plastic containers wafting through the creases... it's all here for you to enjoy. Savvy shoppers can pick up some produce deals here on stuff in season-- 5 lbs of oranges for a couple of bucks, or various Asian veggies lime baby bok choi by the bagful. Three different types of mangoes were on display when I last visited. You can also get overcharged for expired (well, things past their "best by" date, anyway) packaged goods in the "aisles"-- again, in some cases, the aisles are occasionally interrupted by a pallet of pear juice boxes or canned whatever it is, dropped and price gunned on the floor. Even still, this is a good spot to check out if you're in the neighborhood. Anyway, you can always stop by here to pick up a few of the giant phone books perpetually stacked in front of the store. They're great for starting campfires... and you can stock up on some cheapish and more or less disposable camping cooking gear like pots, pans, and big melamine bowls here, too. Sure, there's a little bit of that grimy gray stuff where the shelves touch the floor... but that's part of the charm. read more

There is this short man who works there and I believe he is the manager. He is definitely a joke. I had several issues with him, but I overlooked it and continued to shop there purely out of convenience since it was the closest Korean market until now. The straw that broke the camels back was when he started following me around when another employee was assisting me and indirectly accused me of not paying and deliberately provoked an argument. At the end a lot of words were exchanged and because I didn't show him respect and/or speak to him with respect since he's older, he started running after me with a fist. LITERALLY WITH A FIST ABOUT TO HIT ME!! Hmmm... the last time I checked when I walked in, I could have sworn I was the customer‍ ‍ The other employees had to grab him to stop because I said I'd sue him if he were to throw a punch. This guy needs to go. He needs to find another job which does not require customer service. read more

Great deals but not the cleanest and most presentable supermarket around in the Rowland/Hacienda area. Been coming here off and on for years and they basically have looked the same all these years. There are aisles and aisles filled to the brim and items also extending out from the metal shelves. Navigating a shopping cart in this supermarket is a feat in and of itself, especially when there are numerous shoppers around because of the very, very narrow aisles. They have an extensive produce selection along with prepared foods. I have yet to buy meat from here but their shelf stables along with prepared foods section are great. Sometimes the produce and fruit aren't the freshest so one needs to "search" a bit for better items. Overall, spacious parking and quick checkouts. I've usually had great customer service experience here, have never had an issue with any of the employees. read more

This isn't my favorite Asian market in this area. It's an interesting one - they're always playing Spanish music. The produce section is pretty good and the prices are pretty good most of the time! Some aisles feel a little crammed / tight. If you're in this area, there's other markets that you can go to with pretty much the same prices. They have a beauty store inside, left of the entrance. This supermarket has a decent selection of food and supplies, albeit highly overpriced. But I'm not here to talk about that. I'm here to talk about the manager... or owner... I don't know, but it was clear to me that he had authority. He's this middle-age man, probs in his 40s and 50s, with glasses and a perpetual frown on his face. You can often see him berating people, throwing dirty looks, and keeping a super close eye on customers, especially customers that were not of Korean descent. I've noticed his actions for awhile in the years I've shopped at Greenland, but my suspicions were never really confirmed till I saw him loudly accuse a non-Asian man of squeezing fruits too hard and confiscating it from him when that was clearly not the case. I even got into a very heated argument with him and he had to nerve to throw out preposterous accusations of my character and attempt to gaslight me about something he had obviously done. But I don't want to get too into that. Please don't shop here. If you look at the other reviews, they have said similar things about him. Trust me. If you're going to shop for overpriced goods anyway, you're better off over at H-Mart. At least over there, it doesn't come with microaggressions (or is it racism? ughh, whatever, y'all get my point). read more

"Not cool man!, I still need to get beer...I'll go to that Korean market on Nogales, Greenland!" They appeared to be remodeling...either that, or the place is falling apart. This is a supermarket, where at 7PM i was one of 5 customers in the store...WOW, what's going on?! Oddly, although I live 20-something miles away, I've purchased beer here before (me+beer, hard to believe, I know). Not an amazing selection of beers, but if you're hunting for Hite (which I was), you're going to find it...canned?, bottled?, 640ml bottle?, 1600ml "pitcher"? What do you want? Hite, Prime Max. the Black Stout? Maybe you want to change it up a little with some Cass or some OB? You'd better stick with the Korean beers too, because the only other alternative there is crap macrobrews like Bud, Miller, Coors, etc... Maybe you're looking for a decent lunch at somewhere that NOBODY goes...there is an udon spot there where I used to go to get bibimbap...good times...the service was about what you'd expect in a Korean restaurant that is inside of a supermarket...none-existent, but the food was pretty reasonable... Prices here are much higher compared to other Korean markets and they barely have any sale items. I wanted to buy ingredients to make Kalbi only to find out that they were charging $8.99/lb. I asked the worker why it costs so much and he said the place where they bring it from raised their prices. Wow, never paid over $4.99/lb for just regular kalbi. Nothing special. Not premium or organic. Not the market's fault but still disappointed. I saw fruit flies hovering over some of their produce. Something was rotting? I have never seen this at other Korean markets. This was unacceptable and I felt grossed out watching these things flying above the produce. That's where my 1 star comes in. Market needs to regulate higher standrad of sanitation and better kept produce. Will not be shopping here again. read more

I come here occasionally to get Galbi ribs for parties I throw. On this occasion I did just that by coming here and browsing the aisles for something I can feed to my friends that I enjoyed too. Nothing really caught my eye other than the Galbi ribs and some pork belly. So I ordered 10 lbs of the marinated Galbi ribs. In the past the marinade tasted pretty good so my guests were happy to gobble it down but this time around the meat was chewy and the taste of the marinade was very subtle. It should have been very flavorful as I bought it two days before the party. I mixed the meat and marinade around to make sure every inch was covered for a few hours at a time. I may go back to Zion market which is several more miles away next time. read more

OK. I like this market. Why? Because thid market is like the only market that opens late. I know Hannam and Super H Mart in Diamond Bar closes at 10 PM and Greenland opens for another hour which is always a plus for me. Well, that's the good part. But I kind of get annoyed when they are literally 'open' and everything I want to buy is covered with a clear plastic bag; veggies, fruits and the meat department. You can still choose to buy frozen meat from the fridge but I wanted to get the non-frozen meat and they always clean the area around 10 PM or before so I cant never buy them. So most of you are aware of, you have to have your own grocery bags. You either have to purchase it or walk out without it. But I noticed they put my stuff in that small eco bag sometimes. I dont know when they give that bag out because at times they didnt give me and sometimes they put my stuff in it when I never told them I wanted a bag. I still like Super H Mart in Diamond Bar, but H Mart is kind of pricy. I cant deny that. Greenland usually has many sales on items that we regularly buy and is often cheaper to buy it here than H Mart. Parking is never a problem here. I always find parking right in front of the entrance. I just wish they had the meat and veggies out until 11 PM. read more
