Got some frozen samosas... they were all ruined in the box. Also, some items are pricey. I prefer the other Indian store in Diamond Bar.

A very clean indian grocery store. You can pretty much anything you want without going to the Artesia. Good customer service as well.

I rarely buy groceries here, since the prices are a little high even on sale. I would recommend…read moredriving out a little farther for any standard produce, or if you're looking for specifically Asian stuff, 99 Ranch and Tokyo Central aren't too far away. H Mart is the best for Korean groceries (makes sense), but there's enough overlap that you don't really need to come here for most things. On the other hand, the prepared food here is great! I'm a huge fan of the sushi and sashimi, which are a great deal for the quality of the fish (and which I would not get at 99 Ranch).

I have tried some of the prepared food from the deli and while I found it pretty good (the bento boxes in particular are very satisfying), they are too pricey for me to buy regularly. Especially for being mostly side dishes and staple foods (think whole roasted sweet potatoes, potato salad, simple stuff like that). What I really like about H Mart and 90% of the reason I come by semi-regularly is the fresh sushi and sashimi. The fish is always fresh and I've saved a lot of money over the years by getting my sushi fixes here instead of at a restaurant. The rice can be a little hard as it's all refrigerated, but that's my only minor gripe. Would definitely recommend it overall.

I can't believe I haven't written a review for Tokyo Central yet, though I've stopped by here…read moredozens of times - my go to is their sushi tray options! They have the BEST tasting salmon sushi/sashimi all around, at this price point, even better salmon quality compared to nearby sushi restaurants in my opinion. (Our Japanese native friend also agrees.) Best part is - 20% off after 7 pm!!!! But the trays get snatched up quickly. Too bad I'm not around the area at that time, otherwise I'd make Tokyo Central my weekly run for dinner. Their Kimchi Tako Poke is another regular we get, it's so good. However, recently, the only option I saw was the Shoyu Tako Poke - and I didn't like this version one bit - too hard and the flavor is not to my liking. Will never get it again. The hot food area has quite a decent selection, priced and weight by the pound, self-served. Often around 3-4pm, you may see 20% discounted packaged hot food placed out, whatever that's leftover from the lunch rush hour. Tried it a few times, but felt most of the food is heavily dosed in MSG, so I'd be selective on what I get. They also have sashimi party trays which require pre-order. Great pricing for the quality and convenience. Overall, love their sushi selection, and it's a regular stop for us. As for the market itself, there's not as much to buy, and pricing is on the higher end. However, they have a larger selection of some products that I can't find elsewhere, and sometimes their advertised specials are decently priced.

This Tokyo Central is larger and better thank most of their other locations! Great supplies of all…read morethings Japanese; especially food! My favorite #1: Their eggs have golden yellow yolks, which you won't find in most supermarkets. My favorite #2: their baked teriyaki eels; you can make Eel Rice for the a small family with one package, usually between $25-35 but sometimes on sale for under $20. My favorite #3: their thick sliced bread (厚片土司) - each slice is about twice as thick as ordinary sliced break; very gratifying when they pop out of the toaster! They also have a huge selection of ready-made food from bento boxes to sushi. A great place for busy working people to get easy meal solutions!

I had a feeling they may no longer carry this peanut brand in the future. Not sure why though... Auntie Lui's is a good brand. Anyway, other than our peanut run, we normally don't shop here. It's like one of those... let's check and see if they carry the item kinda thing. My parents used to shop here back in the 1980's and 1990's so they have been around. It's an older supermarket... they could get a facelift on the place. Give them a try when you're in the Montclair or Pomona area. There aren't very many Asian supermarkets around the vicinity unless you drive out to San Gabriel Valley or Rowland Heights area. Happy Shopping!

The staff were not friendly at all, especially a young male employee who appeared to be around his mid-20s. He was extremely rude and disrespectful toward my family, which made the visit very uncomfortable. The store also did not appear to be well maintained. The place looked dirty, and I noticed several items on the shelves that were expired but still being sold. That raised serious concerns about cleanliness and quality control. Because of this experience, I will not be returning. I hope management takes these issues seriously and improves both their customer service and store conditions.

This is the place to stock up on some of the harder to find Taiwanese items if you are wanting…read moresomething from La Isla Formosa. It's been ages since I visited Taiwan but I do remember all the good food! The shop is tidy and they manage to pack a lot of items in here while still making it feel uncluttered. Some items they had for sale when I was here were various high grade oolong teas, the Taiwanese version of Otter Pops, pineapple cakes and soy sauce. They have a frozen section in addition to their shelf stable foods with items such as fish and various dumplings. While the cashier spoke both Mandarin and English, the person giving out samples of oolong teas only spoke Mandarin (In hindsight I should have asked if she spoke Taiwanese too). I'd love to come back next time I'm in the area to get more goodies for myself and as gifts.

It was nice to see certain items that I had not seen in so long. The store is a bit on the smaller side, but whichever way you look, there's something for everyone. Goods are a bit pricier than most, but not many places sell goods directly from Taiwan. As others mentioned, it was very clean and have a good selection. There are plenty of parking near the store, especially since Big Lots has closed years ago.

Glad there's a 99 Ranch by my daughter's volleyball clinic so I can kill 2 hours grocery shopping…read moreevery week after I drop her off at practice. The 99 Ranch closest to my house are both in Arcadia, with the newest one at the Santa Anita mall, but good luck with ever finding a parking. Overall, they offer very good pricing on their items. They always offer things on sale, which is a huge plus. However, I do feel 99 Ranch in Chino Hills isn't as clean and organized as their other locations or their competitors such as 168. They don't really offer much customer service here, especially if you don't speak Mandarin. I have witnessed customers struggling to get help from the non-English speaking Staff. The overall, I rate 99 Ranch Market in Chino Hills a 6/10.

Terrible experience…read more The place is definitely a lot cleaner than other Asian supermarkets, but they don't have as large of a variety of options. The produce is decent, but the protein options are quite limited. A majority of the fish and meat are precut and wrapped on styrofoam plates waiting in the fridge section. Our experience was okay up until we interacted with our cashier. She scanned our items, but didn't even offer any bags. We had to ask her for one, and she just tossed the bag at my sister. My sister was loading the already scanned items into our cart when the cashier demanded that my sister hand her the jar of salt sitting in our cart. She had already scanned the jar of salt, which is why my sister placed it into the cart, but the cashier decided to scan it again. The cashier didn't even bother asking us whether she had scanned it yet or checked the register to see if it was already in the system. She just assumed that we didn't place it on the conveyor belt and were trying to steal it. My sister and I knew for certain that she scanned it twice, so when we checked the receipt - LOW AND BEHOLD, there it is. The item appears twice on our receipt. The cashier was ringing up items for other customers and clearly saw us waiting at the end, but completely ignored us. We were obviously standing there and holding up the line, but she still chose to ignore us and didn't bother to ask us if there was anything wrong or why we hadn't left yet. After about 5 minutes, I finally grabbed her attention, and she didn't even apologize or admit her mistake. She just continued to ignore us as if we weren't there. Another staff member had to help me out and reverse the charge. Ridiculous. Why are people like this? What's the purpose of being rude and disrespectful to other people? What are you trying to achieve? Don't you want people to have a pleasant experience when they come to your place of business? I don't get it. Garbage employee. Never coming back.

Cleanliness is basically what you'd expect from an Asian Supermarket. Best thing about this market is the 62 Noodle street, which is a really overdue review on my end Was trying to buy some items when we noticed it rang up as more expensive than what we saw. Cashier basically told us the price scanned is what it is and don't look at the tag saying we saw the wrong items tagged and barcode. She basically told us she can't do anything since that's what it scans as. I'm pretty sure I checked the tag so we went back grabbed the tag and brought it up. The barcodes matched so we escalated to someone more knowledgeable since the cashier didn't want to do anything. After 5-10 mins someone finally came up and said that's the price on the tag and they had to honor it. Took a lot of effort and basically the blamed corporate/headquarters for changing the prices and them not updating their tags. Not sure how that makes sense, but that's their reasoning. So be careful and aware of prices here
