Really enjoyed shopping here. The prices are WAY cheaper than in OC and fresher and a lot more choices. Plenty of parking since they are in a big plaza and it's very clean. The staff are nice and very friendly. Was going to get one or two items but ended up getting supplies for 2 weeks of cooking goods plus some Mooncakes boxes for a total of $150. Not bad at all.

Worst cashier experience ever I had a full shopping cart and lined up at a cashier. As I was about to unload my items, the cashier purposely put up a "Closed" sign without a word. I politely moved to another line, but right after I left, then she removed the closed sign and started taking other customers. This was the rudest, most unprofessional behavior I've ever experienced in a supermarket. Completely unacceptable.

This is your average Chinese grocery store in the plaza. Huge parking lot. The set up is similar to those large 99 Ranch grocery stores, but this is an old supermarket with lots of Chinese grocery inventories inside. Different customer base. Don't expect the same type service. Looks slow and you must have patience browsing around. Aisles were organized, but a bit narrow to walk through. Feels congested lining up at front. Lines were extremely long. I was looking at food brands and most packages are definitely from various parts of mainland China with brands I haven't seen before. New experience. Saw lots of delicious beef jerky items and other dried ingredients for cooking. Sauce variety was huge. If I were a local, I would try experimenting those sauces for cooking. They have good varieties inside. It's just hard to pick (too many to choose from). The place gets loud, mainly with Mandarin speaking shoppers and clerks. If you're looking for traditional Chinese groceries, prices look decent, but expect mainland crowds.

    "Skinless" chicken thighs SCAM

Yesterday we bought their "SKINLESS" chicken thighs, it turned out they hid all the skin under each thigh, then flipped the meat side up in order to disguise the product to appear skinless to consumers. Buyers be aware! Do NOT buy this so called skinless chicken, it is a total SCAM, see picture for yourself

Veggies are never any good, it's almost like them tricking customers to buy expired produce! Way too many times we've had to toss newly purchased items. The most recent one, two daikons that had black rings inside no matter how far you cut. See photo! The bagged veggies are also often limp! These people have no morals selling bad stock to people! Be ware if you shop here.

Two days ago , I went to this market and bought peaches and apples but all of them got bad and gross, inside of the peach got black and rotten.

We tried the GW market today as it was recommended by my wife's friends that it offers best fresh fruits & vegetables. Personally I was underwhelmed by its selections and prices. I wouldn't describe it as a clean store, just on par with others in the area. We did pick up items for the hot pot this weekend but I would not make a special trip to this market.

It's been ages since I visited Taiwan but I do remember all the good food! The shop is tidy and they manage to pack a lot of items in here while still making it feel uncluttered. Some items they had for sale when I was here were various high grade oolong teas, the Taiwanese version of Otter Pops, pineapple cakes and soy sauce. They have a frozen section in addition to their shelf stable foods with items such as fish and various dumplings. While the cashier spoke both Mandarin and English, the person giving out samples of oolong teas only spoke Mandarin (In hindsight I should have asked if she spoke Taiwanese too). I'd love to come back next time I'm in the area to get more goodies for myself and as gifts.

I didn't get anything ready made, but might drive here for lunch sometime, lmao Good selection of different miso, some crafted miso as well. Both of the staff I was talking to treated me kindly and were friendly! Also got Warabi Mochi Matcha - Must get! It's so addicting, the mochi is more jello like and so good + refreshing! The mugwort rice cake with red bean paste was also good, but I may reconsider getting this again, just not as good as the Warabi Mochi Matcha! Also picked up a Shimanoka Shiso - not sure how to use this yet, but very excited to have on bread or as a topping on rice. They have a good selection of ice cream, some cute utensils/pots/bowls section, as well as a small medicinal section. I also have to preface though, this is one of the worst plazas in Rowland Heights, at least when it's peak lunch and dinner rush hour since there's so many eateries in this plaza, along with boba places and other businesses too. If the lot in front has no parking, you can try the structure in the back. If you're still unlucky, you can try street parking or you can park at any other plaza and walk over so long as there's no obvious valuables in your car. It's a bit cramped and claustrophobic, but that means its a well stocked supermarket. Every single time I've gone, it's never empty. Always some customers, always locals chatting with staff. There's a couple businesses inside the market as well, such as other eateries/places to pick up food and other small shops as well. Great place to pick up prepared Korean banchan and kimbap, as well as other traditional dishes. There's a decent amount of meat and seafood, as well as produce. Before it became easier to find, this was the only place I could find Tom Yum Buldak. Crazy, I know. My family and friends have found soju flavors here that they haven't anywhere else, same with random beverages and snacks.
